In my opinion Kenzo makes great everyday perfumes, not too heavy so that you only feel right wearing it in the evening, and not so nothingy that there's no point in wearing anything at all (like a lot of the Calvin Klein perfumes!). The L'eau Par is my scent of choice for daily wear. It's fresh and young, with just a hint of a floral overtone that comes to you through the citrusy mandarin scent.
I prefer to use the dropper bottle, and just tab a bit behind each ear and on my wrists. If I want it to be a bit more noticeable I might put a couple of drops on my clothes or elbows. Generally though I don't think you need a whole lot of this. It is not meant to be a WOW fragrance I don't think, that knocks you on the head straight away. It's just a pleasant, attractive scent to make you seem fresh in summer and to give passersby a tiny waft if they catch the breeze the right way. So if you like attention-seeking scents I would leave this one on the shelf!
In terms of staying power I wouldn't say this is the best fragrance, but not terrible either. I find it gets through half a day quite well, and then needs a top up, if it's important to you to be scented all day.
Basically you can't go too far wrong with this perfume, as it's rather subtle and there's not much not to like about it. Would make a great gift for a female friend - but if you're getting something for your girlfriend, make it something sexier (like Jean Paul Gaultier), or for your mother something a little more mature (like Chanel).
L'eau par Kenzo!
My sister has a set of kenzo perfumes and she didn't like this one so she gave it to me and I really like it! I think it has a really nice bottle, it is clear but the front and the back of the bottle are curved, shows femininity. I like the kenzo perfumes, they are all really nice and they all have unusually shaped/ designed bottles that I like as they are kind of quirky and look good on me dressing table.
I really like this one (but my sister didn't so its just down to personal opinion). It contains the ingredients lotus flower, frosted mint and pink pepper. In my opinion they all work really well together and seem to balance each other out. The flower, herb and berries all join together in this fragrance and make it really light and quite airy, making me feel all summery and happy and it makes me smile when ever I smell it.
I have to small miniature version of the fragrance which is 5ml and it has lasted quite a while. So it lasts for ages and it also lasts for a long time on my skin which is surprising as most fragrances don't. But this one seemed to last most of the day and I only used a small amount on my wrists and behind my ears.
*Comes in miniature 5ml bottles and normal sizes such as 100ml and also in small gift sets
*A really nicely balanced curvy design
*Light and airy and always makes me happy when I smell it
*It is available from the perfume emporium and it is £31.95 for 100ml of the womens version
*They also make a mens version also sold at the perfume emporium
*Some people love it (me) some people hate it (my sister)
Thank you for reading my review
This perfume comes in a basic but stylish bottle with a fairly secure lid, I travelled to germany and back with it in my hold luggage and all was in tact at the other end. The actual scent is very fresh but with a hint of citrus. My husband got it for me as he finds the smell very attractive. Am not sure if it was because I was pregnant or not but I found the first smell was nice and refreshing but after a while it started to smell quite stale. My sense of smell did change when I was pregnant but even now I only like it on me for the first few minutes and then am not sure. For those that have not smelt it before, it really reminds me of Davidoff Cool Water Woman when you first smell it and since that is a popular fragrance am sure this one is too.
