If you like it, wear it with pride

(The majority of my reviews are based around cosmetics and fragrances. It's been like that since I joined DooYoo though; I don't want to be seen as someone who is only doing it for the sake of getting more miles per review. Also: I know I've wrote loads of fragrance reviews this week - I've been sorting through my collection and making notes, so I'm reviewing them while everything is still fresh in my mind :))

      The fragrance

INVERSE is the first EDT for men under the Kylie Minogue brand. I'd say the fragrance is more unisex (Kylie's sister Dannii has said that she wears INVERSE herself).

INVERSE opens with a tart and refreshing blend of lavender and coriander, before quickly settling into a spicy warmth. For me the cinnamon note over took the other spices and florals - not that I'm complaining. I love cinnamon.

The cinnamon notes stays though the base too, so I could only get a hint of cedar and amber. This is another plus for me as the patchouli note is hidden.

      The bottle

I like the clear and simple bottle design and plain black/white label. The juice is an eyecatching shade of lilac.

      Other buying considerations

This is a Kylie/Coty collaberation, so repeat after me: "The staying power is not good". It outlasts her womens releases, but not by much - two to three hours max.

I first came across this in duty free last December and loved the spice; very festive. I've been wearing this during the warm spells too, with no ill effect, so I'd say it's good all year round.

I think the spice and warmth it provides makes this more suited to evening wear.

      My opinion

I found INVERSE to have a lively personality, hence it's much more enjoyable then Kylie's fragrances for women. I'll rebuy it, despite the poor staying power as it is so inexpensive.

I'm not sure if INVERSE is a LE or if it's a standard release. I've read conflicting reports. So if you like it, it may be worth picking up a few bottles when/if you come across it - just in case.
