I bought Lacoste Essential eau de toilette because I use organic deodorant, which doesn't really smell of anything except plants, so I wanted something that had a nice smell that I could wear at the same time.

I wouldn't normally comment on packaging, but I feel it needs a mention in this case. The box it comes in is a really nice shiny green color, simple but very stylish. The bottle is gorgeous, again simple but stylish with a brushed aluminium top and big crocodile logo embossed into the glass.

The smell when you first put it on isn't great, but once it's dried it's fantastic. It's unusual and quite addicitve. It's fresh, zesty, woody and invigorating. It's got a kind of crushed up leaves and flowers smell. If you use too much it can be a bit sickly, so be careful. The smell lasts all day, but does wear off slightly in the afternoon.

I think it's well priced and does last a long time. I will definitely buy another bottle when my current one runs out..
