About Lacoste
Until I came across this perfume, I wasn't aware that Lacoste produced anything other than sports products such as their sports clothing (you know the one, with the little green crocodile on them!). After doing a little bit of research, I have found out that they actually do several fragrances, Touch of Pink being one of them. As well as selling the perfume, you can also get shower gel; roll on deodorant and the body lotion.
Lacoste launched Touch of Pink back in 2004 and I bought my first bottle of this perfume about 2 years ago and since then it has become one of my favourite scents to wear.
The Perfume Box and Bottle
This perfume comes in a hot pink coloured box and straight away you get the impression this scent is going to be girlie. The actual perfume bottle is a dark pink colour on the lower part of the bottle and the colour gradually gets lighter towards the top of the bottle. The lid of the bottle is transparent and the spray nozzle is a metallic pink. The Lacoste logo is visible on the front of the bottle with 'Touch of Pink written under that in pink writing.
Cost
I normally buy a 50ml bottle which varies in price depending on where I buy it from. I have had a look in the internet and on average, this perfume costs £32 for 50ml and £41 for 90ml so unfortunately, this perfume isn't exactly what you would call cheap!
Smell Of The Perfume
Touch of Pink has top notes of Blood Orange, Coriander and Cardamom, middle notes of Violet, Jasmine and Carrot Seed and base notes of Vanilla, Musk and Sandal Wood. When I first smelt this perfume, my first impression was that it smelt quite fruity and sweet. I also like the fact that it was quite light and not too overpowering. Some girlie perfumes can be so sweet that they are almost unpleasant but Lacoste have got it perfect with this perfume, just the right balance of sweet and girlie.
This perfume also works well because of the base notes in the ingredients which help to make the perfume a little bit spicy and musky.
Initially this perfume smells quite girlies but as the various notes come through after applying the scent, the smell does change slightly and smells less fruity and girlie but still just as appealing.
I have found that this perfume probably lasts about 6 hours before I find that I need to reapply it. The initial fruity and feminine scent lasts a couple of hours before the top notes of the perfume start to wear off; this is when the remainder of the ingredients kick in.
Conclusion
In conclusion I can say that I think that this perfume has the perfect mix of girlie and feminine along with spicy and musky. I think this scent is well suited as a summer fragrance because it is light and floral and not at all overpowering.
Summary: A nice girlie fragrance
