      Advantages

      Disadvantages

      Nicer than I was expecting

I got my Lady Gaga eau de parfum as one of those little sample sprays. I am usually very sceptical about celebrity perfumes, despite the fact that I have found a few that I have liked in the past. I think it must just be a bit of a mental block, I automatically think they won't be as good as the more expensive branded perfumes.

The Lady Gaga perfume comes in a very unusual bottle as you can see from the picture. As I said, I don't have the full sized bottle, but I do quite like this bottle just because it's a bit different. The black colour and the gold claw-like top appeal to me, even though it's the opposite to the kind of thing I'd normally choose.

The card I was sent with the perfume lists the notes of the perfume as 'Tears of Belladonna, crushed heart of tiger orchidea with a black veil of incense, pulverised apricot and the combinative essences of saffron and honey drops'. That all sounds very dramatic and to be honest I have no idea what half of those things are, so I still didn't know what to expect!

When first sprayed, the perfume (which comes out grey on the skin, so make sure you rub it in) smelled to me a lot like liquorice. I don't mind eating liquorice but I don't necessarily want to smell like it! I found it quite a strong scent and it had musky/smoky tones at first, which were a little heavier than I would prefer.

As the perfume settles on the skin, the fragrance seems to calm down and becomes, in my opinion, much nicer. I can detect a sort of muted jasmine scent which to me seems to be combined with a kind of dark fruity fragrance (possibly plum?). As I said, much nicer than when it is initially sprayed. I'd describe it as a feminine scent, yet it isn't girly if you know what I mean? It probably says 'strong woman' which I guess fits a Lady Gaga product quite well.

I'd say this is suitable for day or night, although I'm inclined to wear it more in the evenings, especially as it can be a little heavy when first applied. To me it is more an autumn- winter fragrance than a summery one.

The longevity on this fragrance is not very good, which I find to be its main downside. After around 3-4 hours it seems to disappear to the point I can't smell it any more which is a little disappointing.

When I checked prices, the cheapest I found this was £10.90 for a 30ml bottle at allbeauty.com. I was surprised it was that cheap to be honest, in my mind I expected it to be closer to the £18-£20 mark, so I think that's quite a good price. You can buy matching products such as the shower gel and body lotion if you like to layer your scents.

Overall, this was another celebrity perfume which was nicer than I expected it to be. That said, I find the staying power quite poor and it's not the most special of fragrances or one I choose a lot, so I'll give it 3 out of 5 stars - but I'd maybe stretch to 3.5 if half stars were an option!

Smells great but bottle seems cheap

I got this perfume for Christmas from my Grandma, I hadn't asked for it but had seen the advert for it on the television and thought it looked interesting.

When opening my perfume, the first thing I noticed was that the liquid is actually black! I sprayed it on my hand and it looked like a bruise! This makes me very wary about spraying it onto white clothing. It has made me not use the perfume very much as I'm worried about ruining my clothes.

The perfume smells lovely, and it the smell stays put for a while, not the whole day, but better than some other perfumes in the same price range.

The bottle is very striking, the lid seems like some kind of Japanese weapon when you remove it! The lid is made of plastic though, which does make it feel rather cheap and tacky, but at a glance, it looks good.

        Disadvantages

        Much better than expected!!

I love perfumes and have a huge collection on my dressing table. One bottle which sits proudly on my dressing table is this one: Fame by Lady Gaga. The bottle is very striking and consists of a black bottle with a gold lid. It's definitely very 'mysterious' looking. It is very interesting to look at, and stands proudly on my dressing table.

Notes: Honey, Apricot, Incense, Belladonna, Orchid, Jasmine Sambac, Saffron & Incense

Judging the bottle, I actually thought that the perfume would be very heavy and not to my taste all all. So I was pleasantly surprised to discover that this perfume is actually very sweet and florally, and much more girlier than I had expected it to be. I can instantly smell the honey and apricot; it isn't very sweet and so if you like sweet perfumes then you may well like this one. However, if you are not a fan of sweet perfumes then you may not like this one. I am not a fan of super-sweet perfumes and when I learnt that there was honey in this one as I was a bit put off as I imagined it to be to sickly sweet, however it turns out that it is not too sickly sweet.

In terms of wear, the perfume is very easy to wear. The perfume is quite is quite like and there is something nice and summery about it (I think it's the honey and apricots) and so I would say that it is great for daytime wear. However, due to the incense in this, it reminds me of candles, and so I would also say that this perfume is suitable for winter too as there is something quite 'warm' about it. I would therefore say that this perfume is suitable for all year round wear.

The scent is quite mature which is good as it means that this perfume is suitable for women off all ages and it's not just limited to teenagers. I like this perfume as there is something quite mysterious about it - just like Lady Gaga herself - and so when I wear it, I feel quite mysterious.

My only complaint regarding this perfume is the fact that the lasting power isn't that great; it's gone within a couple of hours which is a shame as it means that you have to keep reapplying throughout the day.

The 50ml version of this perfume is currently available from www.thefragranceshop.co.uk for £22.99 which I think is good value for money.

        Thanks for reading!

a really good celeb scent to try

Lady Gaga is a female singer who took the world by storm with hits such as Just Dance, Poker Face, Bad Romance as well as producing a unique look for her tours, performances and appearances around the world. It was announced around 2011 that Lady Gaga and the Haus of Gaga would be producing a unique perfume and reports soon began on the scent it would take, rumours of blood and semen scents were dismissed however Lady Gaga did state that the perfume would be based on the molecular structure of blood and semen but would not smell of them, the scent would be more like an "expensive hooker". The perfume arrived mid 2012 and did not fail to live up to its uniqueness, black in colour, Lady Gaga states its black like fame itself is black. A massive marketing campaign began to promote it throughout the world

I myself became aware of the Gaga Perfume in 2011 when the reports started on her creating a blood and semen scented fragrance. I soon forgot about it until it was officially unveiled mid 2012 and I was interested on what it would smell like. I have tried many "celeb" perfumes over the years and some of them are better than others but Ive never properly had one on my dressing table or even liked one enough to have it. When Fame was released in the UK and I eventually tested it it was the latter part of the year. I was very impressed by it, tried it several times before deciding if I definitely liked it and then added it to my xmas list. Sure enough I got it for my xmas present which I was very pleased with. I love it I do think its definitely one of the best "celeb" fragrances out there that I myself have tried so lets get into details -

        Bottle/Packaging/Price/Availability

The box is a simple black and gold box with the name and who its by written on it. It being black does make it stand out, it looks dark and interesting over all the light and flowery fragrances currently out on the market. The bottle is circular and clear with the lid being gold and in a claw like shape, the lid comes off easily and the bottle has a gold pump spray.
The item itself is widely available in Boots and Superdrug as well as some department stores. Price is around £24/£25 for 30ml bottle. I recently ran out so I did manage to get a 100ml bottle half price in Superdrug for £27 (An offer currently running) so its best to check what deals are available locally to you.

        The scent

Black in colour it fits in well with the packaging theme. When it sprays onto the skin it is clear and doesn't leave any marks. It settles well and has a really good smell to it. Its very sweet in smell so for those who like sweet perfumes this is ideal. It has hints of honey, apricot and saffron to give it that unique sweet smell. Lady Gaga said it would smell like an expensive hooker, I dont think thats the case, a hooker wouldnt smell this nice! I use about 4 sprays, 2 on my neck and 2 on my wrists and it does last a long time, I can still smell it at the end of the day which is what you need in a decent fragrance. I always get good comments on when I am wearing it, many want to know what it is and are shocked when I say what as they don't expect it to be a "celeb" fragrance. As I mentioned above I used all my 30ml bottle about 6 months, but I use it most days and if I got out in the evenings I will reapply (I do this with any perfume). I did like it and so I brought another bottle.

        Overall

It is a very unique smelling perfume, the look is in line with what I would expect from Lady Gaga. It is at this moment in time my number 1 fragrance and I use it most days. I would definitely recommend it to those who like strong sweet scents as it does pack a punch when you wear it.

          A worthy buy even for a non-fan!

Being a huge Lady Gaga fan it was only natural that I'd eventually buy her perfume, and what with the enticing adverts on the TV it wasn't long before a bottle of Fame was residing on my bedroom shelf.
I could be biased here and say Fame is the best scent I've ever smelt, but what's the point in writing a review if you're going to bend the truth?! Well in all honesty the scent IS delicious. Its quite an elegant feminine smell, but is light enough to wear as a day perfume (even despite its dark design and even being the world's first black fluid that changes to transparent when sprayed!).. But here lies the problem. It is TOO light. Within a couple of hours I cant even notice the smell any more. Yes that could be because I'm used to the smell, but asking my husband if he could notice it a few hours later and he couldn't either. My bottle has now depleated by about a quarter in less than three weeks!
I love the smell.... I just want to smell it for longer!

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

          I love it!

When it comes to buying perfumes, I have to admit I'm very heavily influenced by bottle design. I want something that not only smells good, but is going to look good left out on my bathroom side or bedroom dressing table. And I do make cover judgements - I'll look at a bottle, and if I find it terribly ugly, I wont even bother with a tester spray.

One perfume I have that not only looks gorgeous but smells it to is Lady Gagas 'Fame' EDP. I'm not normally on to go for a celebrity smell, but I will admit that all the hype and horror surrounding this before it came out only made it more interesting to me. There were so many rumours that this was going to smell of blood, sweat, and semen that it was a complete surprise to me when I first smelt it to discover it smelt very pretty, and not at all outrageous!

The bottle is as you can see above, a sort of grenade shaped ball of clear glass, with a shiny metal 'claw' that acts as the lid. It's a very simple design, that really highlights the a fact that the perfume itself is black. The gold lid contrasts with the black itself wonderfully - I think it's lovely, clean and simple yet definitely attention grabbing. The lid is a good secure fit, and the glass is thick and quite heavy, it feels like it's good quality.

The scent begins as a light and mysterious floral, before evolving quite rapidly into a sweet and indulgent fruity scent of arpricots and honey, all underlined with Jasmine the slightly heavier scent of orchid. I also felt like there was a sort of incense smell to it, giving it a smell that was a little more mature than your average fruity floral. There was also another floral scent to it I couldn't name - apparently this contains a scent inspired by deadly belladonna - it may well be this I can smell. I found the scent lasted well on my skin, and didn't need topping up throughout the day as other scents I have used do. The scent did change with where - the florals were more identifiable individually at the start, but by the evening it was the sweetness that was most identifiable. I found the overall effect warming and sensual.

I did like that I could pick up and identify the notes separately- I usually struggle to identify a particular fragrance but it seems like this scent had managed to achieve a balance allowing each scent to stand out without dominating the scent. I was also pleased that despite the black colour, the scent left no marks on my skin or clothes. It is actually transparent when sprayed, and is apparently the first perfume of it's kind, with both the blackness and transparency used as simile - Black to represent the dark heart of fame, and transparency to indicate it's lack of substance.

I think this is a lovely scent. Given the hype about it, I was surprised by how very wearable it was. Given the colour, I was also surprised by how light the fragrances was, I had perhaps expected something a lot darker and deeper. Overall though, I was just impressed by the fragrance, which was lovely - light but surprisingly indulgent, warm and rich, and sensual without being too adult. I think it's a lovely perfume, not one I wear everyday due to the richness of the scent, but lovely to get a little bit of warm fragrance on a cold day, and perfect for evenings out. I absolutely adore the bottle design, and actually think that with an RRP of £32 for 50ml, it's actually very reasonably priced, and certainly one I would feel no hesitation in purchasing again!

            Advantages

            Disadvantages

Not what I expected, it's better!

            ~*~*~ Lady Gaga - Fame ~*~*~

            ~ What is it? ~

This is a celebrity scent and it is by Lady Gaga.

Lady Gaga is known for her somewhat shocking and bizarre appearance and this perfume and bottle are no different with its egg shaped glass bottle and golden claw like lid. The perfume inside the bottle is coloured black!

            ~ The Scent ~

I expected this to be a deep dark scent, much like Lady Gaga herself and it was for this reason that I didn't expect to like it very much. I thought it would be too heavy for me but I was actually pleasantly surprised.

Don't let the black liquid put you off as the scent is actually quite floral and sweet.

            ~ Notes ~

            Honey
            Apricot
            Incense
            Orchid
            Jasmine Sambac
            Belladonna
            Saffron

This scent rather having the usual top, middle and base notes has push-pull technology and is based on three accords - Dark, Sensual and Light. When these come together they form a sweet, fruity, floral scent.

            ~ Longevity ~

I don't think this is one of the most long lasting scents you are going to come across, when I wear this it lasts around two maybe three hours before I fail to be able to detect it anymore. However you don't need to apply to much of the perfume to your skin so topping up every now and then isn't going to break the bank.

A 50ml bottle costs roughly £30 and it can be bought in the usual places, such as Boots, Superdrug, etc and can also be bought as part of a gift set along with shower gel in the matching scent.

            Blurb taken from Superdrug.com -

"Lady Gaga Fame; an opulent, crushed-floral fragrance that's black in colour like the soul of fame but transparent once airborne."

            ~ My Thoughts ~

With all the hype surrounding this perfume, with Gaga reportedly wanting it to smell of blood and semen I wasn't exactly swept of my feet! I also thought it would have a darker, heavy scent so I didn't buy this.
It was bought for me as a gift for Christmas so I thought there was no harm in trying it and if I didn't like it, at least the bottle would still look good on my dressing table!

I was a little skeptical of the black coloured liquid and fully expected it to leave some sort of mark on my skin but nope is does become clear once airborne. I do think this is a unique and funky point which does scream Gaga!

It was the scent that surprised me the most as it was completely different to what I originally expected, the sweetness of the honey is what I detected along with a fruity hit, I was really impressed with it. I would describe it as a floral/fruity scent that is good for everyday wear rather than keeping it for special occasions.

The bottle is more apt to Lady Gaga than the scent I have to admit, the claw designed lid is really funky and I feel that it fit her look very well.

I expect that being a celeb scent this is aimed to be marketed at all women so I think that is why the scent has been kept sweeter rather than heavy. Not many teens like heavy scents so I think they have gone down the right route to keep this more a generic perfume rather than aiming it at those who like heavier scents.

            Thanks for reading :o) x

Lady Gaga Fame Eau de Parfum

Being a bit of a beauty product addict, I always like to try out new things and vary the brands that I use. I'm a member of the website www.latestinbeauty.com which is designed to provide members with a selection of product samples that you can choose from and order on a monthly basis. In my most recent Latest In Beauty sample box I had opted to receive a sample of Fame Eau de Parfum by Lady Gaga. It is available from most high street beauty stores and department stores at the RRP for £25 for a 30ml bottle, £32 for a 50ml bottle, and £55 for a 100ml bottle.

Product description: "Compounded by Lady Gaga from the Haus Laboratories in Paris. First of its kind, this perfume is an innovation in fluid technology. It's black like the soul of fame, but invisible once airborne. Tears of Belladonna, crushed heart of Tiger Orchidea with a black veil of Incense, pulverized Apricot and the combinative essences of Saffron and Honey Drops."

The full size perfume comes in an attractive bottle made of clear glass that allows the perfume to show through. The perfume itself is coloured black, which is a bit of a gimmicky feature, but nonetheless it does appear striking and certainly catches the eye. The bottle is topped off with a claw design gold lid. The whole thing has an elegant streamlined look and reminds me of science fiction themes with a slightly gothic edge. I received a little 1.2ml sample vial with spray dispenser, which came in a neat little cardboard slip case. This is a nice size to trial a perfume over several occasions before deciding if it suits you and then making a purchase of the full size.

I like my perfume to be noticeable and from the initial application this comes across as being very strong to an almost overbearing amount. The perfume itself is coloured black but this turns clear when sprayed so you don't have to worry about it marking your skin or staining your clothes. I had based my expectations on the dark colouring of the perfume and imagined that it would smell heavy and exotic, but I was pleasantly surprised with the light and sweet scent that it gave off. I have a real sweet tooth and love sweet scented beauty products, so this was well suited to my tastes. The tones of honey and apricot come across immediately and give off a syrupy sweet and fruity fragrance. After an hour or two the perfume then seems to adjust and I can detect more of the floral ingredients, with a soft powdery edge from the orchid and jasmine. This is delicate compared to the overpowering level of fragrance that is generated initially after application, and the scent does become softer and less noticeable as the day wears on. I apply this first thing in the morning as I'm getting ready for work and by the end of my lunch break it will have all but disappeared, apart from a slight remnant of fragrance that lingers if I lift my wrist right up underneath my nose. The rich, sweet tones of this perfume remind me a lot of Paris Hilton's Can Can perfume, which is one of my all-time favourites, but it has more of a straightforward sugary scent whereas Lady Gaga's efforts seem to be a little more well-rounded with the development to floral tones.

Overall I really like Lady Gaga's Fame perfume and have plans to splash out of a large bottle of it when I can find it with a decent offer on (nothing like waiting for a good bargain!). It is a sweet and girly fragrance which is easily wearable and was very different to what I would have expected from Lady Gaga considering that she is a complete nut job. This The only real bad point is that the lack of staying power is very disappointing, as it comes across overly strong when first applied but then fades away very quickly and I would expect a better performance from any Eau de Parfum fragrance.

              Impressive fragrance from Lady Gaga

I don't usually bother with celebrity perfumes, but I got a free sample of Lady Gaga's new fragrance Fame in a recent Boots order, so was happy enough to give it a go. I never turn down a freebie!

              ***Bottle***
The full-size bottle for this fragrance is black and egg-like with a gold-coloured top: apparently this is meant to be a claw. To me it looks rather alien-like. It is interesting and different and fits with Lady Gaga's image. I like that it doesn't have her name plastered all over it. My sample came in a mini black 1.2ml atomiser inside a cardboard case.

              ***The Fragrance***
This has been promoted as the "first ever black to clear eau de parfum", an opulent fruity scent. It is inspired by belladonna, the famed deadly nightshade, and this scent is mixed with incense to create a dark, deep fragrance. Honey, saffron and apricot nectar form the middle notes, creating a sensuous aspect, while crushed tiger orchidea & jasmine sambac bring a lighter floral aspect to the scent. I certainly found the description of the scent intriguing.

              ***My Experience***
I was reasonably impressed with this fragrance when I first sprayed it. I thought it smelled fairly unusual and sophisticated, not simple or young like many celebrity fragrances. I don't know enough about perfume scents to be able to identify individual notes, but I thought it smelled warming and, for want of a better word, moreish - I kept smelling my wrist! The fragrance wasn't heavy, however, and I didn't find it too strong, which is good as super-strong fragrances can sometimes be headache-inducing. It smelled to me something like a woman of any age could wear: light enough for a teenager but sophisticated enough for an older woman.

As the fragrance dried down, I thought it smelled lighter on my skin. It was sweet like honey, and I could detect fruitier and more floral notes too. However the darker aspects of the scent were still present. I found this to be an interesting change from most perfumes, which tend to go from light to heavy rather than the other way around.

The perfume doesn't have the best longevity. I find it lasts around two to three hours on my skin, which isn't great, but then again it's not a particularly expensive fragrance.

              ***Price and Availability***
The perfume is very reasonably priced at £32 for 50ml. It is widely available in the usual perfume stores, and is also available in gift sets.

              ***Conclusion***
I'm not one to go for celebrity fragrances, but this one is pretty good. It has a pleasant scent with an unusual concept and aspect marking it out as a bit different to most perfumes out there. I like the bottle and the general design too. It doesn't cost that much, for a perfume, and is generally a fragrance I recommend.

Gaga created this scent with the help from artists from her own 'Haus Laboratories' and 'Coty' (who make perfumes with Beyonce, Beckham and Kylie and many more).

The hugely popular fragrance sold over six million bottles in one single week which makes it the second fastest selling perfume after coco Chanel. The promise of a mysterious fragrance led many of us to become either skeptical or delightfully curious with the rumored ingredients, whilst there are none of the so called "blood and semen" ingredients that caused a stir before it's prior release, the scent is somewhat floral as well as fruity, and the incense really stands out. There is also essence of muskiness which in theory makes it unisex since according to Gaga herself her 'perfume was designed for women, but a lot of my gay friends wear it'.

The packaging/box describes the notes as Belladonna, Incense, Apricot, Honey Drops, Tiger Orchidea, and Jasmin Sambac.
The bottle cap design is an asymmetrical gold claw which is meant to resemble a paw, many of you may be familiar with the term "Paws up" - which is Lady Gaga's way of saying stand up and be proud of who you are so the paw not only a clever design, but is also a symbol for her fans.
It's a black liquid that claims to be the first of its kind that chemically transforms to be clear after it is sprayed.

Whilst others claim that this perfume was over hyped, I myself understand this apparent hype because it smells absolutely gorgeous. Perhaps it's down to personal preference, so don't knock it until you've tried it yourself. However for me personally this is my number one perfume and signature scent out of my small collection.

The fragrance is available in three different sizes; 30ml, 50ml and 100ml all of which start at approximately £22 to £45 depending on where you purchase them from. There are also a number of gift set combinations available which in theory are better value for money since you get a little something extra along with your fragrance. The sets include either black soap, black body lotion or black shower gel (of course all of which turn clear, don't worry). There have also been limited edition gift sets available in only certain countries and stores (particularly online rather than in store) where you can purchase the limited edition Fame false nails that are designed accordingly to match the perfume's overall design and replicate gaga's signature stiletto nails.

All the fragrances can be found anywhere that sell hair, health and beauty products and of course specialist fragrance stores. You can also buy them online, quite often at cheaper prices if you're lucky.

Overall I would definitely recommend this perfume, though I would suggest trying the perfume out at a store that allows you to test them (usually larger stores that have more fragrances on display).

                  Disadvantages

                  .

I am a big Lady Gaga fan. I even went and got my photo taken outside the place where she used to stay in New York when I was last there - Stanton Street if anyone is interested. When I heard she was bringing out a Perfume then I knew that I would have to try it.

I had saw the advert for the Perfume and when I saw the bottle although I thought it looked interesting I could say that by the look of it I thought it wouldn't be the scent for me. It looks so deep and heavy with the black colouring and gold bits. Sure is different compared to the standard looking Perfume bottles out there.

So I had to look online to get the notes of this and they are Incense, Honey Drops, Saffron, Apricot, Jasmine and Tiger Orchid. So plenty of heavier scents through this but there is a lighter mix through here which I am assuming will be the Apricot. I can't say that I can smell the typical scent of Honey but there is a slight sweetness to the Perfume.

Just a couple of squirts of this gives a good enough scent. I found that my normal 3 squirts at each area I wanted to scent gave a strong scent which lingered through the day. I did reapply this later in the day but just has a squirt in a couple of places to freshen up.

You can buy this in 3 different sizes. The 30ml is around the £25 mark, the 50ml is around the £31 mark and the 100ml is around £54. You can also buy this in Shower Gel as well. I bought this in the 50ml as it was on special offer and I had a gift card to use up in the shop as well. You can buy this scent in many beauty stores as well as many online places.

This is a nice scent. Not my favourite all time scent or that but I think I do like this better than I thought I would. It is slightly Heavy a scent but not as deep as I was expecting. I will happily use the bottle up and may reach for another bottle for a change sometimes.

                  Disadvantages

                  5/5

I received the 50ml bottle of this for Christmas and I love it! I've got to admit I was initially secretly slightly disappointed when I saw which perfume it was as I'm not a fan of lady gaga and thought that this would smell really weird and overpowering but I actually think it smells amazing! The perfume is available in three different sizes - 30ml, 50ml and 100ml. I have the 50ml which retails at around £32.00, so it's definitely one of the pricier celebrity perfumes around, but I do think it's worth it. The perfume comes in a pretty cool bottle - it's a kind of egg shape with golden claws surrounding the lid's cap and overlapping onto the bottle. This lifts off to expose the spray nozzle which is a shiny gold colour and it dispenses the liquid in a fine mist.

The design is nice for a change as most celeb perfumes come in quite girly bottles and this one really stands out amongst my other perfumes. The bottle is transparent meaning that the dark black liquid is easily visible and it really does look stunning. I was curious at first to see if it was actually black when sprayed onto my skin but it's completely clear. A weirdly intriguing fact about this perfume is that it's actually based on the molecular structure of blood and semen, which I think is pretty gross but I can assure you that it doesn't smell like either! Lady Gaga describes the scent as being the kind an expensive hooker would wear (lol!) and it's definitely quite an unusual but expensive fragrance.

Although I wasn't sure if I'd like this, I really love the scent. It's definitely very unique and may not be to everyone's taste, but it's in my top ten of favourite perfumes which considering how many I have basically means that it's amazing! A simple way to describe the scent would be that of a classy fruit punch - it's really fruity with the most noticeable fruity note being apricot. The spicy, unusual tones (which are pretty hard to describe!) balance the fruity fragrance out nicely and stop it from smelling too foody and girly and it's definitely not at all sickly or overly sweet. The floral tones aren't the usual generic floral kind of scents and they include jasmine and crushed tiger orchidea. Honey is one of the heart notes, although I personally can't detect the smell of honey at all when I'm wearing it but it's still surprisingly sweet in a subtle kind of way.

I'd say that the scent would be suitable for women of almost any age and at 21 I find it perfect - it is definitely not too young smelling, but it's not at all grannyish!! This is quite a strong perfume and can easily become overpowering. I find one spray on each wrist is enough and the lasting power is pretty good - not great but not dire either, I'd say that it lasts for around five hours before it's almost completely faded. I overall recommend this perfume because it smells gorgeous - really unique and expensive and the bottle is nice too.

                    Advantages

                    Disadvantages

This perfume has a great unique smell to it that would fit many age groups.

When I first heard that Lady Gaga was designing and creating a perfume I had no intention what so ever to buy it. We all that Lady Gaga's fashion is crazy and outgoing so I just thought that the perfume would not be something I would like. While passing it at the Macy's counter my curiosity got the best of me and I decided to test it out.

                    PACKAGING:
My favorite thing about this perfume is the packaging. It has this vampy, ferocity sort of look to it. Which I think is totally Lady Gaga. The slick black bottle with the shiny gold cap is very sexy and has that classic Lady Gaga edgy look to it. The most exciting feautrue to this perfum is, of course, the black liquid. Being Lady Gaga, she had to do something totally unique and never done before. And this has definitely never been done before. It does spray clear though once it its the air. You do have to be careful if you have a white shirt on, it will leave this sort of grayish tint to it (something I had to experience ): ).

                    Scent:
When first creating the smell of this perfume, Lady Gaga stated that she wanted something to smell of blood and semen. Although, late she said that it would smell of something like an "expensive hooker." I dont really think there is such a thing as an expensive hooker though, and this perfume smelled nothing like that. When you first spray it on it had this sweet smell to it. Although, once it really settled into your skin it had more of a musky with spice smell. Its intoxicating and floral, yet still a bit fruity all at the smae time. The main notes in Lady Gaga Fame are apricots, honey, and some more floral smell. I loved the jasmine part of this perfume. It was sweet but mixed with the honey and apricots defiantly gave it a little extra kick.

                    Cost:
                    3.4 oz - $79.00
                    1.7 oz - $55.00
                    1 oz - $42.00
                    0.34 oz- $19.00

                    My Thoughts:
Even though I'm not really into the whole celebrity perfumes, this is one of those rare perfumes that are really worth the money. Its unique and perfect for everyday, but lasts long for those special occasions. While a lot of celebrity perfumes aim for teens, this one is something that can fit a lot of age groups. So, whether your are 30 or 15 this perfume is great!

A lovely perfume at a great price

I have to admit I had no interest in Lady Gaga's perfume whatsoever. The fact that it's advertised as 'the world's first black eau de partum' just made me think 'oh god, she can't do anything without trying too hard to be different', I mean seriously, what's the point? But I received a bottle as a gift so of course I had to try it out for myself. It's very reasonably priced as far as fragrances go, the 50ml bottle I have costing £32.50 in Boots.

I do quite like the design of the bottle, though it's not something I'd be drawn to in a shop. It's made of clear glass so you can see the black liquid inside, and is an almost egg-shaped bottle with a gold plastc lid. The lid, as you should be able to see from the picture, has 4 'prongs' coming down the side of the bottle that is meant to resemble a claw and does look quite interesting.

The perfume combines a dark accord of Belladonna and incense, a sensual accord of honey drops, saffron and apricot, and a light accord of Sambac jasmine and tiger orchid. The makers claim that the fragrance is not composed in the traditional 'pyramidal' structure, but instead uses a 'push-pull technology', which highlights different aspects of each note at the same time, without any hierarchy.

When I first spray the perfume I get a really light fruity scent where the apricots are definitely the most evident. It's not long until it settles to a deeper fragrance which combines more of the floral notes with vthe initial fruity scent but still remains quite fresh. I would agree that after the fragrance has settled there is no particular note that stands out, they all work in harmony to make an overall lovely fragrance. It is not an overpowering scent and remains quite fresh and light so even if you overdo it a bit it's not going to choke people.

Because of it's light nature I personally feel this is best as a daytime fragrance as although it's quite unique I don't think it would really stand out amongst the usual heavier night-time fragrances. It does last well though, and I find if I apply just a couple of sprays in the morning before leaving the house I can still smell it at the end of a 9 hour shift at work. I have had a few compliments on this whilst wearing but not as many as with some of my other perfumes.

Overall I do really like this perfume, it has a lovely fresh, light scent which would suit any woman, and it's great value for money. I'd definitely recommend you give it a try.

                      Disadvantages

Lovely smelling perfume. A real luxury for such a reasonable price

I didn't know what to expect of Lady Gaga's perfume to be honest. I would look at all the posters and think hmmm, but then I went into my local pharmacy and they had it on offer for 15 pounds as an introductory price. I smelt it and to be honest, it was a very pleasant surprise.
The bottle is an oval with gold teeth like thinks coming down half way of the bottle on four sides and a gold cap. Although the perfume is black, it becomes invisible on the skin, but I still wont dare spray it on white.
Everyone has their own description of perfumes but to me, it's a mixture of musky and sweet. I love musky smells and I only go for subtle sweet smells. Therefore the combination of the two really works for me. It is an amazing perfume. Perfect to wear either in the day, or a little bit stronger for a night out. If you haven't tried it yet, go and try it. There are not many people who dislike it. Plus, I think it's very reasonably priced, It usually costs 19 pounds 99pence for a 30ml bottle. Not too dear for a perfume that smells that good at all.

Never one to accept the status quo, Lady Gaga's first signature fragrance challenges every existing industry standard / Where there was light, she brings darkness / Where there was transparency, she brings mystery / Where there was fruit, she demanded poison / The result is Lady Gaga Fame, an opulent, crushed-floral fragrance that's black in colour like the soul of fame but transparent once airborne.
