My sister bought me this Eau de Parfum for my birthday many years ago and I have always liked it, re-purchasing when in runs low. I have the 100ml bottle, which currently retails at around £68 on the Amazon website (April 2012).
Lancome launched the fragrance in 2003 and it was developed by Daniela Roche-Andrier and Christain Biecher. The Eau de Parfum is described as having a floral-woody harmony built on the notes of iris and patchouli. Iris is one of the most expensive ingredients in the world of perfumery. It is housed in a slightly gold luminous round bottle with a golden cap. Top notes include gardenia, neroli, and ylang-ylang. At its heart the notes of iris, orange blossom, jasmine, tuberouse and Bulgarin rose make a perfect floral bouquet. The base is made of cedar, patchouli, vanilla, musk and amber.
I use this as both a day and evening scent, though tend to favour the evening as I find it is a sophisticated scent. It is quite a heavy scent, so a little goes a long way and I find that it has quite good staying power, lasting most of the day or night. It is a fairly mature scent, I would say that is not really aimed at those under 30, but I suppose it really depends upon what you like and how it smells on your skin.
The spray dispenser is easy to use and gives an even spray, without any clogging issues and the dispensing tube reaches the bottom of the bottle so there is not any wastage of the product. A 100ml bottle tends to last me around 10 months and I use it probably 2-3 times per week, so although it is expensive it lasst a long time.
Overall I would recommend this product to others as it has a strong woody, yet floral scent that makes you feel like you are wearing a quaility Eau de Parfum.
This is my favourite 'everyday wear' fragrance.Looks like it is empowered with strong notes but no,its rather warm.A woody floral so very feminine.although i wear this daily, many have commented on how it would be rather appropriate as an evening fragrance. The patchouli and iris are faintly detected in this little bottle of luxury making it a rather mysterious little bottle. And may I comment that the bottle is rather lovely too.It isn't for those who want a rather better value fragrance as it is quite pricey, and unfortunatley the fragrance doesn't last very long(shame i know)but for someone looking for a special fragrance, treat or gift it is ideal. What i also approve of this fragrance is the bottle not messing about when only a little bit is left at the bottom-you know?when a fragrance stops squirting properly at the final few mls.it appears to work just as well as it did when the fragrance was first bought, which means that you do get every last drops worth of the fragrance.
