Lancôme Paris is owned by L'Oréal and launched its first five fragrances in 1935 at the World's Fair in Brussels; they've never looked back and have had a stronghold in the cosmetic world ever since. The face of Hypnose Homme is Clive Owen.
This comes in a simple square black box with silver lettering. The bottle is beautifully original with a twist in the structure of the glass and a classic black top.
This is a harmonious blend of patchouli, mandarin, mint and cardomom seed with it's base a combination of lavender and amber. It is musky with a strong oriental headiness.
I have found this for under £30 for 50ml in several online stores. You can buy this on the high street (we have it in Debenhams in our town centre) but do expect to pay at least 10% more for it.
I first smelled this passing through a well known department store and was instantly drawn in...it does that. It's one of those musky, sweet, but incredibly masculine fragrances that makes you turn your head to look at the man wearing it (unfortunately in wasn't Clive Owen ;o) ).
I jumped on this for my man and love how it smells on him. It's a warming yet fresh fragrance that for me carries an air of power with it. It lasts for hours and it is always still going strong when he comes home after a 12 hour day at work.
The man who wears this is classy, comfortable in his own skin yet a bit mysterious.
As with all Lancome products you can be sure of it's quality and though a bit on the pricey side worth every penny.
A gift for the man in your life? I would say so. It's sexy and seductively heady and the bottle doesn't look bad on your bathroom shelf either. One of the most gorgeous after shaves/colognes on the market today.
Stunning fragrance from one of the leading cosmetics companies. An unexpected hit for me!! i was given a small sample bottle of the fragrance in Manchester airport when i was going on holiday last year, and used it on a morning while i was there and now the smell reminds me of the great time i had. The smell its self is very hard to describe. Its not floral, not woody and not fruity, Its a reserved, clean smell. Possibly aimed at a slightly older market, which is a shame as i think it would be loved by all, I'm 21 and adore it. Its a bit of a hidden gem. Lancome isn't one of the counters you would really visit when looking for a new after shave, but believe me its worth checking out! The smell lasts ages- all day as long as your not in and out of a pool!! and even then i could still smell it after being in a pool for a few hours. now your not telling me thats not the sign if a good after shave.
Its an individual fragrance, but one that is also instantly recognisable.
Its fairly pricey, but this only means less people will be wearing it, and as not many do any way you could be part of a very exclusive club!!
