Advantages: The most fantastic winter skin I have ever had, great smell, it lasts quite a long time, feel refreshed, radiant and alive!

Disadvantages: Very expensive way of livening winter skin!

You know in the winter months when it is miserable outside and you spend all your time cocering yourself up in the hope that you can keep warm, well that is the time of year when your skin can suffer a great deal. A few months ago when browsing the counters of my local House of Fraser I found my self being accosted by one of the counter ladies. It was my day off uni and not being in a particular rush to get anywhere I thought I had nothing to lose by listening to what she had to sell me, you never know thesedays it is a good way to get free facials and make-overs!

It seems that the product she was plugging was "Lancome Aromatonic", the name for a start intrigued me. As it turns out "Aroma tonic" is an energising body scrub that is promoted as being, "...a mid-winter pick-me-up, with a relaxing scent that leaves skin feeling soft all over". The counter lady gave me a free 5ml sample and told me that she expected to see me back buying a full size one in a few weeks time. Yes, I laughed as I walked away, as if I am going to come back and spend lots of money on some overpriced French body scrub!

I went home and that night I decided to give it a go. The product comes in a lime green colour tube with a white lid. The tonic itself is also a slimey lime green colour and very grainy in texture as you expect with a body scrub. It smelt lovely though,on investigation it should do as it contains
essential oils like sweet lime, ginger and green tea, so you can imagine how strong the aroma was!!I was actually quite excited to see how it performed.

So, after taking off all my make-up I rubbed the tonic all over my face and not only was it a very good exfoliant, but it also left my skin feeling alive and better than it had done since the sun had faded and I had hidden inside! I left the product on my skin for a while so the essential oils soaked through it and then I rinsed it off. I cannot emphasize how refreshing thi
s product was, my skin smelt lovely and there was not a dead skin cell in sight, just soft skin.

I now use this every other day as my skin doesn't need any more as it lasts. Also, it is quite expensive as I am sure you will agree at £25 for 100ml and so I will have to make it last the WHOLE winter. To be honest though, I know they sell the product as being especially good in the winter with the use of special essential oils, but I plan on using it the whole year as my skin feels so lovely. Luckily for me the counter lady did not seem to recognise me when I went back and so I did not have to listen to any "I told you so's"!

If you have the money and feel like a winter/spring pickmeup then I cannot tell you how good this product is, you need to experience it for yourself.
