Lancôme: Magie Noire, Eau de Toilette

Magie Noire: This is the only Lancome fragrance I like, not least because their newer offerings seem to be made with cheaper ingredients which 'turn' on my skin. For me one of the great thing about this fragrance is that it never turns, not on your skin, not on your clothes or hair. It's a fairly heavy (but not as much as some) oriental fragrance which manages to avoid having a nasty top note - here galbanum and blackcurrant are in harmony with the deeper notes of cedar, sandlewood and patchoulli (no - it smells nothing like hippy shops!).
