Advantages: Smells Heavenly., Top quality from one of the best cosmetic houses., Great staying power and Lasts well in the bottle.
Disadvantages: Price., Possibly availability (depending on your location and whether you have regular access to online shopping)
My mother is always quite good at receiving samples of luxury goodies, she does actually try before she buys. This is mainly due to having sensitive skin (and me too) it just would not be good economy to lash out on a product to discover an intolerance to it. I was lucky enough to receive a sample of Oui, before I purchased and that was great, I did actually use the sample and go back for more. Top French cosmetic house Lancome do produce a number of perfumes which have varying degrees of popularity and also styles. "Magie Noire" and "O de Lancome" are two of their earlier manufactured perfumes which are still very very popular Oui came along later, with a unique fragrance which is very contemporary, but elegant. Oui is attractively packaged, it arrives boxed and sellophane wrapped. The perfume bottle has modern styling, and is luxurious with its frosted glass bottle with chic understated elegance.. The vapouriser comes in three sizes 30mls, 50mls and 75 mls. When I purchased I opted for the 30ml size. The vaporiser is easy to use and efficient not a flimsy squirter that drops off into the sink as you prepare to go out, leaving you disappointed and perfumeless in the bathroom. The spray is evenly distributed in a fine mist, rather than a blast. The perfume itself is light and fresh, not heavy at all. The fresh smell is the top note of clementine-hedione, a citrus blend which is very refreshing. The middle note is composed and blended from apples, pears and pineapples, and white flower petals, this accounts for the perfume's sweeter side. The bottom note or base of the perfume is from the stargazer lily (doesnt that sound gorgeous ?). I think Oui would appeal to most, it isn't ageist, it could well suit someone of twenty to someone of eighty. If they like a fresh aroma. It does lighten your spirits, the ingredients are ge
nerous the perfume lasts well (as long as the basics of perfume care are adhered to). It does'nt lose it freshness over time. It is not a cheap perfume to buy, it retails around £26.00 for the 50ml size bottle, but the ingredients are not skimped on and they are great quality. Oui would make a beautiful gift and a wonderful gift to receive. If you are allergic to some perfumes its always worth having a chat with your local Lancome consultant to obtain a sample. Lancome do generally refund customers if they are not satisfied with their purchase, but I would rather go with trying a sample than to put up with the inconvience of an allergic reaction, or being disappointed as you had to return the product. Overall an excellent buy.Highly recommended but remember always test the perfume first, on clean dry skin and leave for a few hours to allow the perfume to suffuse with the natural aroma of your skin.Remembering that each perfume will reacts with the individuals body chemistry, creating a unique aroma.

- 27/08/03 This sounds great, but probably a bit too pricey for me, being Lancome! I'm a bit of a cheapskate and the only expensive thing I will buy without feeling guilty is the perfume Flower by Kenzo! x |
