Being a fan of natural rather than chemical, I've turned to Lavera products a few times now. I love their basis sensitive hand cream, and have indulged a few times in some of their other products. I was very pleased therefore to receive this fragrance of theirs as a gift recently from my best friend.
Lavera products are special because they are natural. The whole premise of the company is to produce high quality beauty products which are made using natural ingredients that won't harm you when you use them, and do the least damage to the environment too. This was my main reason for buying Lavera items initially, and although I've tried many other brands since which conform to similar attitudes I still buy from this company because their products are so good.
Lavera Body Spa Organic Honey Moments Eau de Toilette is a fabulous perfume which is light, sweet and delicate. Its name however is a bit of a mouthful to say, so I'll stick to calling it Honey Moments from here on.
If you're looking for fancy packaging - go elsewhere this isn't the company or product for you. It comes in a simple glass bottle that's packaged in a simple box. There are no fancy decorations or glitzy gold here. This is a simple fragrance with simple packaging. A 30ml bottle will cost you about £20 so it's a similar price to many other perfumes on the market and not so expensive that it's out of many people's price bracket.
I'd term this as quite a warm scent - the honeycomb oil that gives the main smell to this scent is mixed with other essential oils such as geraniol, citronellol and Limonene which help to add a hint of freshness to it. There's a very slight hint of oranges and lemons in there, along with a little floweriness that reminds me of a breezy spring evening just as the sun is going down and you can hear bees making their way home and smell the last of the evening flowers on the air.
It's a perfume that I'm quite happy to wear out in the evening, or during the daytime, as it's neither heavy nor fruity if you get me. It's quite subtle and I'm tempted to buy the body lotion that Lavera do in the same scent so that I can try creating a layered effect with this as I have the feeling it would work very well.
My favourite factor with this is that even though it's not as long lasting as some perfumes, I don't actually mind re-applying it as it's all essential oils and therefore I'm not worried in the slightest about what I'm putting on to my skin. For anyone interested, the ingredients are: Alcohol, Water (Aqua), Fragrance (Parfum from natural essential oils), Citral, Geraniol, Citronellol, Limonene, Linalool. It's important to note the difference here between this 'parfum' which is from various essential oils and the 'perfume' which some scents list and which contains many chemicals.
Overall I love this scent. It's warm, sweet and fragrant and I enjoy wearing it and knowing I smell good (my husband has told me so), while not using any nasty chemicals. I'd recommend anyone looking for a nice light but sweet anytime-of-the-day-or-night perfume try this one you're unlikely to be disappointed.
