Lee Stafford - Pink. Eau de Toilette Spray for Women
Pink is one of the perfumes or as it is also known, Eau de Toilette (I'm not sure if there is a difference between the two!) for women available in the Lee Stafford range.
I didn't actually choose to buy Pink as I first received it as a gift from my nan for my birthday a couple of years ago, and for each birthday and Christmas since then. Until I received this perfume I had never heard of Lee Stafford, however, since receiving it I have started to see it more often in the shops and although I see a small range of perfumes and body sprays the main Lee Stafford products I see are hair products. My nan apparently chose this because she knows I am a big fan of the singer Pink and she thought there may be some kind of connection, I should now point out that there is no connection at all!
Pink comes packed in a shiny silver coloured rectangle box with 'Pink' written along the side in large pink capital letters. Inside the box is a simple looking round glass bottle with round translucent plastic lid. In my opinion the bottle isn't exciting or pretty in any way and looks very plain nice sitting on our bathroom shelf. In some ways the design of the bottles reminds me of the cheap perfumes you can buy for young children who are playing dress up. The bottle also has the same large pink letters printed vertically along it and some contact information printed on the back of the bottle in small pink letters.
How Does It Smell?
Pink has quite a strong and almost intrusive smell to it, yet I still find that I do quite like it. I would describe the smell as being feminine but not in the sense of flowery and light, it is more of a tangy and quite refeshing smell which I would say wont really be to everyone's liking as some days it can really get up my nose and make me feel a bit sneezey, but it is still a nice scent.
I used to wear this perfume on a daily basis as I really liked it, however over the last few months I have found myself drawn to other perfumes in the bathroom and I am using this one less and less. I do still like the smell, however I find that due to it being rather strong I have to be in the right kind of mood to wear it.
I find that if I spray Pink on myself when I get dressed in the morning, it will last for around 3 to 4 hours, at which point I find that I need to re-apply this perfume as it doesn't seem to linger in a more subtle way, it just seems to disappear as if I hadn't applied it in the first place. While I would usually find this quite inconvenient as I am not really a person who carries perfumes around with me, I don't mind so much with this one as I actually have a smaller bottle of it which fits nicely in my bag without adding too much weight or taking up too much space.
I think there is a slight 'choke factor' to this scent and I have often choked myself by accidentally spraying too much. In the choke situation I find that the perfume leaves a rather nasty taste in my mouth and I have to do an emergency bathroom evacuation for a couple of minutes. So I would recommend a bit of caution if you don't want to choke yourself and passers by, by accident.
As this perfume has always been given to me as a gift I cannot ask my nan how much she pays for it, however I have seen it in the shops for around £6 - £7 for a 30ml bottle. I think this is a reasonable price as the fragrance is quite strong so you don't need to use too much on each application and even if you re-apply it you wont need too many sprays to be able to sufficiently smell it.
Would I Recommend?
While it is no longer my favourite perfume, I would definitely still recommend Pink, it is a tangy scent which I enjoy wearing from time to time and at the moment I do have a bit of a back log of bottles due to not wearing it so much these days so I may start wearing it again as now I have reviewed it I have remembered how much I used to enjoy wearing it.
Thanks for reading :)
I have read a lot of reviews about this where people are saying that they are surprised that Lee Stafford have brought out a perfume even though Lee Stafford is a hair care range...IT IS FOR HAIR! It's a perfume for hair. It refreshes your hair if you do not have time to wash it.
This is from a website promoting the perfume when it first came out in 2008:
No time to wash and go in the morning, but still feeling the effects of the night before? Then get your hair smelling super fresh and ready for the day ahead with these quick fix hair perfumes and sweet smelling tress treats...
Lee Stafford The Pink Passion
"This prettily packaged perfume smells divine (think sweet florals without being OTT). Its texture isn't oily at all so you can spritz to your hearts content - leaving your hair still looking healthy but in turn smelling great!" From £5.95, nationwide at Boots
So...for those of you spraying it on your skin, SPRAY IT ON YOUR HAIR!
==Lee Stafford Pink Fragrance==
I have never really used any of the Lee Stafford products before but I do know the brand is usually more for hair products than for anything else. So this said I was a little surprised to see a perfume section for Lee Stafford. What surprised me even more was that they weren't in the perfume cupboards in Boots but on the shelves with the lower end fragrances and also had up-to half price off!
I was able to pick up this bottle of Lee Stafford Pink for £3.30 pence! This was an amazing bargain as the bottle was a 50 ml sized one too. There were a few different ones to choose from which I am very likely to go back and to buy too. There was a tester bottle on the side so at least I was able to have a sniff f it before purchasing and I really liked what I smelt.
The bottle which holds the perfume is nothing overly special but of course looks a bit more expensive than the price I actually paid for it. The bottle is made from a nice frosty type of glass and the "Pink" name is written in a deep pink colour on the from along with the 50 ml volume and Lee Stafford. It states on the back the makers of the perfume which are Quantum Beauty Company.
The perfume is easily sprayed by a pump action sprayer that releases a very good amount of the fragrance just with one spray and in my view you shouldn't need much more than 3 sprays to get a good smell and a great coverage!
The smell of the product is something that is really nice and smells like something I have smelt before although I can't place it as being another perfume or another product. It is however very nice and unbelievable for the price I paid. The smell is probably more of a summer aroma in my opinion as it is light and floral with top notes of vanilla and passion fruit alongside other ingredients such as bergamot, chocolate and caramel.
It really does taste good enough to eat. I shouldn't think it is for everyone as the smell is really young and sweet which would put a lot of different people off. One first spray the fragrance smells strong and aromatic but this soon settles down to a mild smell which not long after seems to disappear completely. I guess this is the downside of buying a cheaper perfume.
I think for the price I really can't complain. I got a bargain of a perfume which has a wonderful aroma and is a good size. For the price I could carry it around with me reapplying when I felt it had worn off but I would only need to apply a couple of times per day and I would still be quids in than using my usual sort of perfumes. I think it has got to get a fair 3 out of 5 star rating and a high recommendation if you can get down to Boots and get it on this wonderful special offer as it is well worth it.
Many thanks for taking the time to read.
I do hope that this has been of some help/interest to you.
After getting through about ten little bottles of Lee Stafford hairspray because I LOVE the smell of these products so much, my friend told me about this perfume. Of course, with such a nice smell I expected it to be quite costly, I was leaping for joy when I walked into Boots and saw that it was £5.95!
Okay, I'm going to try and describe the heavenly smell of this perfume. It's very unusual, quite chocolatey but fruity at the same time. I haven't come across a single person that doesn't like it, it's amazing how many people commented on how lovely I smelt. Unlike the name, I don't think that the scent is very girly, it's very different.
The bottle lasts about two months, imagine spending just £5.95 on perfume every two months! AMAZING! You don't need to spray on a lot, and it lasts all day. I spray a couple of squirts on my scarf every day, the smell won't go for 24 hours, great smelling scarf all day long. The only thing that I could possibly point out that's wrong with this product is the packaging, but I suppose you can't expect fancy packaging for so cheap.
Overall, VERY recommended!
Ok I have written an awful lot of reviews on Lee Stafford products during my time here on Dooyoo. Read some and you will see that I really am a true fan. I'm like a lamb to the slaughter with these products and I use and replace them and am truly loyal nowadays to this brand in the form of haircare.
I'm always advising my friends to invest in these amazing hair care products. Now one thing that I have said in the majority of my Lee Stafford reviews is how amazing the smell of all his products are. I know for a fact that I have said in reviews that it is a shame there is no Lee Stafford Perfume smelling the same as the haircare range as it is delicious! To me the fragrance in the range is one of the main reasons I love it so much and if you've never smelt the range do read some reviews people have written on here and other sites mentioning it. It's a huge selling point!
So I almost dropped down dead when I was mooching about in Boot's a while back and saw a stand of this. Needless to say I didn't even think twice about buying it and ran to the checkout with the matching bodyspray and waving my advantage card about a loony tune. I was absolutely delighted!
The perfume came in a clear plastic sleeve telling me what it is and who it is by. The bottle is frosted glass with bright pink writing on the front telling me it is Lee Stafford, Pink, Eau De Toilette and the size is stated on the bottle. On the back I'm told in small writing it is made by Quantum Beauty Company (the manufacturers of lee Stafford products) and the Lee Stafford website is listed (www.leestafford.com). On the top there is a see through plastic safety lid that covers a bright pink push to squirt sprayer. It looks very young packaging but it is in keeping with the Lee Stafford range of products.
About The Product....
The eau de toilette and body spray feature the same scent as the trademark pink products, mixing passion fruit, bergamot and cassis with patchouli, vanilla, chocolate, honey and caramel. Wow it sounds great don't it eh! Yes I was hooked on the blurp too lol!
With excitement! It sprays out really easily and quite a bit of it comes out quite wet but it doesn't soak you and skin absorbs it straight away. Now when you spray it on go easy! It is highly fragrant and just the same as the pink hair care products in the Lee Stafford range and as strong.
The smell is flirty, funky and and as it settles down actually becomes very sophisticated and perfect for women of any age. At first spray I can really smell an oriental Patchouli smell followed by the bergomot. As it settles down (in a couple of minutes) you can really smell a deep musk made up of the patchouli and the vanilla and floating gently over the top giving it a slightly sugary smell is the vanilla and honey though I can't personally smell the chocolate or caramel at all as ingredients that stand alone but it is on the sweet side of things. It's really scrummy and me, I do like a musky but feminine scent and this really is that with a girly mix. It's very deep, rich and oppulent.
When it's been on the skin an hour however the smell really does settle down and to me I can't really smell it at all. The disappointing thing with this is that often I do get comments about my fragrances and not once has anyone ever said I smell nice wearing this which is so gutting!
This is one that does need topping up regular if going out and me I have the 30ml bottle so I don't find it a problem to take it out in my handbag (as it's small) and at £5.95 for the 30ml size and £9.95 for the 50ml size I don't mind having to reapply often cos it's cheap for what it is!
I absolutely adore it and at the moment it is my favourite perfume. I feel so girly and to me it's like grown up candyfloss in a bottle. Yes I do wish it stayed more fragrant for a bit longer but then you can't have everything eh! I advise all you ladies to test it out in Boots (the only stockists) and see what you think for yourselves! A real bargain and I'm pleased to be the first to review this product and bring it to your attention!
A real must buy for girlie girls!
