      Lovely!

I bought Lolita Lempicka Lolita Lempicka 100ml eau de parfum not long ago after receiving Lolita Lempicka's Forbidden Flower for Christmas.

      ~ Bottle ~
The fragrance comes in the same bottle as Forbidden Flower, which is shaped like an apple.
The bottle is decorated with gold and white leaves and flowers, which are imprinted on the bottle.
'Lolita Lempicka' is written in gold curly joined up lettering on the front of the bottle.
On the top of the bottle is a gold coloured wood textured cylinder shape with a heart shape with an arrow through it imprinted on it, as if it has been carved in the wood.
Then on top of that sits the apple's stalk. This is quite thin and made from gold plastic and when the stalk is pushed downwards into the bottle the perfume is sprayed. The spray comes from a tiny hole, which is also in the stalk.
The perfume itself is a purple colour. The glass is clear and it is the perfume that makes the bottle look purple.
It is a really nice, pretty bottle. I must admit I think the Forbidden Flower bottle looks nicer with the yellowy coloured perfume inside, but this one still looks nice.

      ~ Price and availability ~
This perfume is available in 30ml, 50ml and 100ml bottles.
On cheapsmells.com, where I ordered mine a 30ml bottle can be purchased for £18.45 (RRP £34.00).
The 50ml bottle is available on cheapsmells.com for £26.45 (RRP £46.00).
The 100ml bottle is available on cheapsmells.com for £34.09 (RRP £60.00).

      ~ Scent ~
This perfume does bare a resemblance to Lolita Lempicka's Forbidden Flower. Lolita Lempicka is based on liquorice.
The top notes are liquorice, anise and violet.
The heart notes are ivy, iris, amaryllis, orris root and cherry.
The base notes tonka bean, vetiver and white musk.
When first sprayed I can detect a lovely floral powdery scent straight away. It is light and fresh, but it develops very quickly into a darker scent, which I think is the liquorice and anise.
It is a little bit sharp, but not too sharp for me and I think I am quite easily offended by harsh scents.
The dry down brings out the floral powdery notes again, which seem to be less strong than when first sprayed. I think the sharpness mellows out a lot in the dry down and although there is still a gentle sense of liquorice, it is softened by the white musk and floral notes and the darkness becomes lighter and softer.
I like this perfume. It is similar to Lolita Lempicka's Forbidden Flower, which comes in the same bottle, which I have also reviewed. They have a very distinctive scent, different to that of any other perfume I have smelled before.
To be honest, I prefer Forbidden Flower to this offering, but I still like this perfume.
It has good staying power and remains evident on your skin for around 8 hours, which I was pleased with.
I would say it is a daytime scent and not one I would choose to wear for special occasions. I think it is suitable to wear all year round. It is light and floral enough to wear in spring or summer, but has a depth to it that makes it suitable for autumn and winter.
I think this scent would suit women of all ages, but I think it might appeal more to younger women.

      ~ Conclusion ~
I like this perfume. It is fresh, floral and powdery with a sharp heart that is quickly overcome by its white musk base.
It is long lasting on your skin and it is a versatile fragrance, being a scent that could be worn all year round and by women of all ages.
I like the design of the bottle. It is an interesting shape and is quite busy with its gold decoration.
I would recommend this perfume, although I personally prefer Forbidden Flower, which comes in the same bottle. I would buy this perfume again if my current bottle was to run out.

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

Nice, but not for every day

I got this perfume as a present from a friend and although I am not a great fan of Lolita Lempick's fragrances (I find her products too expensive for what they are: there are Dior and Dolce Gabbana fragrances of the same prices and in my opinion, have a better reputation for quality. However, it was a pleasant surprise, the fragrance turned out to be quite compatible with my preferences and I think it is really a nice discovery:)

What do I like about it?

        1. Original design, beautifully decorated in a very feminine style. Besides, I think it goes well with the fragrance itself too. Unusual.

        2. Fragrance: soft, floral and long lasting, but very difficult to define. I guess its attractivity lies in its originality: it is really very hard to define (something like Kenzo perfumes, however this one is more floral and not so spicy:)

        3. Quality-price: I have already mentioned that I found it a bit to expensive in comparison with other best trade marks.

Conclusion: I won't buy it again, but it is a nice experience beacause the perfume is very very original.

If you enjoy Angel and Wish you'll enjoy this.

        The fragrance

I used to wear LOLITA LEMPICKA all the time, but now when I come across it my stomach turns. I don't know what's changed - maybe my taste is starting to mature.

I love the top notes; the fragrance applies sharp and slightly sour with aniseed and fresh 'green' notes I take to be the ivy leaves. I love the contrast between this and the sweet remainder of the fragrance.

It's the middle phase that puts me off. The sweet fruits and florals combine with the other notes to make the fragrance very sickly. I gravitate sweet fragrances, but this is just too much.

        The bottle

The semi-sheer violet bottle is shaped as an apple. Very beauiful, but the glass doesn't seem thick so I'd hate to drop it, and wouldn't carry it in a bag just-in-case.

This is a good choice for all ocassions; Casual, work and evening wear.

I wouldn't recommend wearing this in warmer weather, as the sweet notes can be strong enough to cause dizziness and/or headaches.

The staying power is good; It'll easily last through a working day.

        My opinion
        - - - - - - - - - -

I don't think LL is a 'bad' fragrance exactly; But it's nothing new and it just doesn't work with my body chemistry. There are just so many sense-friendly alternatives available nowadays, there's no need for me to make myself ill over a perfume.

Wow! This perfume is gorgeous. It's not so easy to find and I vividly remember paying £48 for a bottle 10 years ago from House of Fraser but it has been my signature scent ever since. It looks beautiful and smells very sweet and unusual. It has licquorice in there somewhere and violet and vanilla.

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

My favourite perfume, give it a go!

Lolita Lempicka was unheard of in the UK until 2006, when it was slowly introduced into bigger department stores over here. I first came across it on a trip to Paris in 2005, and purchased it for it's pretty bottle and pretty name, from La Gallery du Fayette. Nowadays, it's a bit more popular, but still an uncommon fragrance, and it's guaranteed to get you noticed.

Without a doubt, it's my favourite perfume. It's quite difficult to put your finger exactly on what this smells like, but it's certainly enchanting, and actually quite heavy, in an alluring way as opposed to an overpowering way. It's very feminine, and it's main tones are vanilla, enhanced with a fruity, woody note. It's certainly different to anything I've ever smelt, and everytime I wear it I get a lot of ocmpliments, and people asking what it is, as they feel it's unusual. The bottle indeed fits this description; a pretty purple apple featuring gold and white embellishment. It's eye-catching when you take it out of your bag!

The price isn't too bad either, at £40 or thereabouts for a 30ml bottle; as you only need to use it sparingly. If you like heavier and more unusual, yet still sweet and girly perfumes, I would definitely have said this one was for you.

        Disadvantages

        An exsiting and warm scent

This is an unusual and more often then not unheard of scent, and that's exactly why I love it! If you are spicy and passionate and love the subtle smell of liquorish undertones and warm spicy overtones then this is the scent for you!
I love it so much I got the mens version for my partner, and the best thing about it is I can use it as well, it dosnt have a strongly feminine or masculine feel to either one, and so can be used as a unisex perfume, I even know some girls that prefer the mens version as it is a little bolder then the womens version.
It comes in a gorgeous packaging both for men and women, always a purple bottle but the apple (which is the womans version) is a particular eye catching shape when its sitting on your dresser.
So if you want to be different and have a scent that really turns heads rather then blend with the usual musks, vanillas and floral tones, then buy lolita!

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

I would recommend it to everyone

Oh I love this one!! Lets start with the bottle, it is in the d=shape of an apple with the stalk being the sprayer. It is a gorgeous purple with metallic swirls all over. It is not very practical so putting it in your handbag would probably damage it but it looks lovely sitting out on the dressing table. This is a very sensual fragrance with hints of violet, vanilla and aniseed. It is very light so is suitable for wear during the day as well as the evening. Whenever I wear it I always get asked what it is I have on - I am a perfumeaholic - as I have so many different ones. Everybody seams to love the smell. It lasts for ages too with a squirt around the throat and at the wrists being enough to last the best part of the evening. It is quite pricey as you can expect from a designer perfume but I would go for the big bottle because this is one you will use again and again

A perfume fit for woodland nymphs

This perfume is my signature scent, it's what I wear on most days (although I do sometimes mix it up a bit and wear a different perfume, to keep people guessing! hehe). My boyfriend adores Lolita Lempicka, as it's what I wore all of last summer (when we met), so he relates it to happiness and good times, and goes into a mad passionate frenzy whenever I wear it around him (which is never a bad thing!).

The bottle is simply beautiful, shaped like an apple with gold leaf and a gorgeous little stalk shaped spray nozzle, the only downside is that is doesn't have a cap, which can make it difficult to move around or take on holiday (unless you keep the original box it came in).

The actual scent is very exotic and seductive, with a heady blend of aniseed and liquorice. It's not too over-powering at all, and leaves you with a subtle mist of fragrance, which will drive any man wild!, it really is impossible to resist the lure of Lolita Lempicka.

It's almost impossible to think of the words to describe this perfume, it smells different on almost everyone I've sprayed it on, so it's really adaptable and personalised. I have no doubt in my mind that you will absolutely adore Lolita Lempicka.

The nicest... and when your body warms up it releases the most exciting fragrance... any man would go mad :-) This perfume does not kill you with a strong smell when you put it on and you needn't put loads to smell it. On the other hand it does not give you a head ache. I have used my first bottle at the very beginning of it coming out and left it on the side for several years and it was still great so : It ages well too !
