==Lush Honey I Washed The Kids Solid Perfume==
Visiting family recently on the mainland meant that I was able to sneak off for a bit of retail therapy in my favourite store, Lush. I hadn't been there for a while as the Isle of Wight doesn't have one of these shops but I have been known to place a few large orders on line from time to time.
However because I hadn't been for so long meant that I was able to stock up on all my old favourites and also try out some of the new products that they have bought out. This Solid Perfume is not something I had tried before but the fragrance is one of my absolute favourite.
There were a few other solid perfume I could have chosen but seeing as this is my favourite all time fragrance I of course opted for this one. I found them on the counter at the Lush shop and thought them to be of a fairly reasonable price at £5.10 pence for the tin containing a good amount of the product.
The perfume itself comes housed within a small metal tin rather like the lip balms or temple balms from Lush so you have to be careful and always read the label when using these tins as it is rather easy to get the products mixed up.
The labelling for this solid perfume is rather simple with only a black label to the front of the round tin and one on the back. The front label gives the name of the product, the Lush logo and the fact that it is a solid perfume. The back label gives al the ingredients, the Lush contact address and the made by and use by date. There is a good amount of time from when it was made until when it should be used up, mine was made on the 14/4/10 and needs to be used up by 14/06/11 which I am sure it will be.
The tin is easy enough to open with a screw top although this lid is sometimes difficult to get back on because the threads of the lid don't often find one another again. However the tin is a great pocket or handbag size and makes it the perfect perfume to take out and about and allows the product to be used quickly and easily throughout the day.
On opening the screw top lid, you can notice the smell straight away and it is a very strong and sweet aroma which I personally find totally wonderful. It is a warm fudge type honey aroma and this certainly smells exactly like the Honey I washed the kids soap but perhaps in an even denser style.
To look at, the solid perfume is exactly what it sounds like, a solid block of perfume. The product fills the small tin to the brim and you certainly get your monies worth. It is a creamy colour with a slight yellow tinge to it and to be honest it doesn't look particularly exciting or different, but it is really the smell that does it for me.
I would think the smell is not really for everyone as it is very sweet and strong and it is fairly simple to apply as you need only rub your fingers around the solid lump of perfume a few times to get enough of the product off to apply to behind your ears or on your wrists. The more you rub, the more the fragrance is released and I was surprised at how a little bit does go a long way in the fact that the aroma is a nice strong one.
The smell of the perfume does indeed last a fair few hours and this again was far better than I had first expected it to do. I can still smell it once it has been applied around 5 hours later although no where near as strong as when first applied but it is still there nonetheless. That said because it is so small and pocket/handbag friendly it is easy to take with you where ever you are going and have a second application.
Overall I really like this product far better than I would have thought. So much so that I have already planned to buy another for when this one eventually runs out which will probably be a good few months as like I said before a little goes a long way.
If you compare it to spray perfumes, this one is really far superior as the price is much better, it is a fragrance that I personally love and a little does go a long way and lasts a good amount of time.
I think a score of 5 stars out of 5 is applicable for this Honey I washed the Kids Solid Perfume and a high recommendation.
