Lush Love Eau de Parfum
Advantages: Feminine and delicate
Disadvantages: Not very strong
I love perfume and I love Lush and nearly every perfume they sell is gorgeous in its own way. Obviously some are better than others but there hasn't been one yet that I didn't at least like if not adore.
Love is one that I only recently bought for myself as it is newish and I had actually waited a little while before purchasing it and treated myself to a while host of Lush goodies one day. As I always do with Lush perfumes I bought this in the solid version as I think this is not only a great way of buying expensive perfume fairly cheap the solid perfumes from Lush are always really good quality and although they aren't as potent as the sprays they still give off a strong and long lasting aroma.
The solid version of this cost £7.50 while it is also available as a spritzer and an atomizer for £15 and £31 respectively. I really do think that the solid perfumes offer the best value for money but I do also buy myself the larger spray bottles if it is a fragrance that I really like.
As with all the other Lush solid perfumes this one comes in a black stick with the solid perfume being a light rose colour. To use solid perfume you have to just rub some of it on to your pulse points such as your wrist and neck. Unlike some of the other solid perfumes from Lush this one doesn't stain your skin when you rub it on.
This is supposed to capture the essence of love and while I'm not quite sure it does that it is still rather lovely. It has notes of apple and spices in it and although the apple and spiciness is quite strong I also think that it smells of lemons and flowers with some sweetness in there too. It really reminds me a desert for some reason but this shouldn't put you off because it is really nice on my skin and not too sickly sweet where you actually want to eat it.
The only problem that I have with this is that it doesn't last nearly long enough on my skin. Usually with the solid perfumes from Lush I find that they last a long time which is what I think makes them really good value for money but this one only lasts a couple of hours at most before I can no longer smell it on me. I am not sure what the perfume would be like but I would have expected better longevity from Lush. It also isn't brassy and shouty and is more a fragrance to be enjoyed by yourself rather than expecting other people to be able to smell it with the exception of maybe just a subtle waft every now and again.
Love is absolutely lovely but it isn't going to be one that I buy on a regular basis for myself. It is delicate and feminine and I did enjoy wearing it but Lush already do so many other fragrances that are just a little bit nicer that I don't feel that I would bother with buying this again purely for that fact. I would recommend that you try it though as it is really nice and you might find that you like it better than some of the others that they do.
