“ Brand: Lush / Type: Fragrance / Concentration: Eau de Parfum / Gender: for women „
I love lush and I am a huge fan, I regularly indulge in a lush shopping spree and this is definately one of my favourite products.
It is packaged in a small flat round pot, perfect for popping in your handbag or your pocket (careful when keeping it in your pocket though as it can melt if it gets too warm, it does solidify again though once cooled). Although the smell is quite strong when you first apply it, it can fade after a few hours; but it is such a small, handy sized pot though that you can carry it around with you all day and re-apply when needed.
It comes in solid form, and is simple to apply. Simply rub a little on your fingers and apply to your skin. It melts very easily against the warmth of your skin, but doesnt feel greasy once applied. It smells like a mixture of vanilla, bubblegum, cotton candy and other sweet things - it is very girly and I am always complimented on my scent when I wear it.
The perfume itself costs around £4.75 for a small pot - but dont be deceived by its size! This perfume, as it is in solid form, lasts for aaaages. The only down side is that it is only available around christmas time, so I tend to stock up on it as soon as it is available. Or better yet, wait until it is reduced in the lush christmas sale.
The perfume smells lovely. It has a really nice sweet smell to it, almost like candyfloss. If you're aware of the shower gel of the same name (Snow Fairy) it smells exactly the same. I find that the perfume has good staying power. Once rubbed into the skin the scent lingers and hardly needs topping up. It's a real girly girl scent so I would recommend it to teens and younger women (under 25's). It's an ideal daytime scent as it smells fresh, fruity and VERY sweet. I think it'd be too sweet for evening wear.
As the perfume is solid I sometimes find it difficult to get out of the tin. I have to leave the tin in my bra to warm up for a few minutes before I want to use it otherwise it's almost impossible to get out of the tin. Also, the tin is quite delicate. It tends to dent easily and if I get the perfume TOO warm it can melt and leak from the tin (so don't leave it in your bra for too long!). The tin can be hard to unscrew at times aswell.
A nice perfume. The tin is small (at just 10g) but it'll last you a while as you only need a tiny bit at a time. I paid £4.95 for my tin, which is kinda cheap for a Lush perfume.
I love to treat myself to a Lush Product when I go to Birmingham shopping and this time I went I bought Lush Snow Fairy Solid Perfume for £4.95 for a 10g tin of solid perfume.
The tin is quite small and can fit in your pocket or make-up bag for you to reapply when you need to. I like the solid perfume as you can just put a little on your skin at a time and this is kind of wax like but melts with the warmth of your skin but doesn't feel greasy on your skin.
The scent of this is quiet sweet but not too over powering and has vanilla tones which I love in any perfume, vanilla is such a distinctive scent and one of my favourites.
It doesn't linger all day like someperfumes so carrying it around in this handy tin is a good idea, as you can keep re-applying it every few hours if your out and about, it can be worn for any occassion but I like to use it during the daytime as it's light and sweet scented.
Be careful not to leave it on a window sill in the full sunlight as it will begin to melt but will solidify again once it's taken into the cooler air. I'm quite impressed with this as it's affordable and convenient, which is always a plus when it comes to buying perfume.
I like the Lush products and with Christmas coming ever so closer, this is a cheap enough stocking filler for my grandaugther who has just turned eleven and has started to want to wear perfumes and make-up. It's a good product for teenagers and adults alike.
I'm happy to recommend this to you as it's easy to use, is stored well in it's little tin and is at a price that won't break the bank.
It gets my excellent vote.
==Lush Snow Fairy Solid Perfume==
I am a really big Lush fan but the problem is that there isn't a Lush store on the Isle of Wight where I live. This means that I either have to place a large order via Lush's online store or each time I make a trip to the mainland I have to stock up. The only only downside of that being that some of the items from Lush do tend to have a short shelf life because of their freshness.
This Lush snow Fairy Solid Perfume was an item I got around November time and I have to say how much I have enjoyed the product. I don't think that it is available to purchase from Lush at the moment as I think it might just be a product they bring out in the winter - hence the snow bit of the name. However it is a popular product which I am sure that they reinstate year after year. For the little pot that this product comes in I paid around the £5 region which is a good deal for any perfume but especially one that smells to divine as this one does.
The product packaging on this item is far different from any other perfume I have at the moment because it is in a solid form and held within a small pot rather than a liquid form in a bottle. This was much more common years back and you don't really see too many solid perfumes nowadays. However I have had many of these types of perfumes from Lush over the years and I quite like how they work and how easy they are to take out and about.
The little silver pot is a sort of screw cap although it has not got great threads on the pot and will more often than not take a couple of efforts to screw the lid on in the right position. This does need to be done correctly because if the lid is not screwed down then the perfume will dry up and become useless if not careful. The outer information on the little pot is really not that vast because of the tiny size of the packaging but it does give you the dates that it was made and the date it should be used by, who made it in the store and a list of the ingredients which is really all you need to know.
Inside of the pot there is a block of beige/yellow coloured hard product. This has the most amazing smell coming from it even before it has been used and although it doesn't look that appealing, it certainly smells it. The idea of the product use is simple and because it is a solid block of product you need to rub it a little bit with your finger tips in order to get the oils melting and the product moist enough to be able to apply it to the skin. This doesn't take long for the product to begin to turn softer on the top and easy to then transfer from finger tip to the neck area.
The smell of the little product is really what it is all about and I have to say that this little pot of aroma can really hold its own against its perfume competitors in so far as fragrance of product goes. I really love the sweet sugar smell of the Snow Fairy Scent although I am sure it would be too sweet and perhaps a little sickly for some people who tend to like their muskier scents. This fragrance however seems to smell really light and girly with the sweetness being the main scent from it. There is a slight fruitiness to it and if anything this would be a berry type of aroma - possibly raspberry's. The smell is described as being candy floss in nature and this is very true with the sweet girly fluffiness and it is something I really like.
The little pot itself lasts for ages even though the smell on my skin once applied in the morning will not really be overly noticeable at the end of the day. That said though because of this products small and compact design it is so very easy to pop in your pocket and apply when ever you feel you must. Of course try not to get it mixed up with a lip gloss.
Overall I think this product is a really good one. I like the different type of design compared to regular perfumes and although the scent doesn't last all day from one application the smell is divine and the product easy to carry about and re-apply whenever. The price for this product is about right as I probably wouldn't want to pay out too much more for it but for £5 or there abouts it is well worth the money and a product I no doubt shall be buying again and again. For these reasons nothing but a top score of 5 out of 5 stars and a big thumbs up with a high recommendation!
I do hope that this has been of some help/interest to you
Many thanks for taking the time to read.
I love the Snow Fairy range from Lush and I have bought several of the largest bottles of shower gel as well as a shower jelly version that they were selling one Christmas and the Candy Fluff dusting powder which has the same smell. When I saw that Lush also sold a solid perfume version of Snow Fairy, I bought one straight away, so I'd be able to enjoy the lovely scent right in the middle of the day instead of just around bath and shower time! At the same time I bought a Snow Fairy lip tint which I also recommend!
One of the metal tins of solid perfume costs £4.95 and can be bought in Lush stores or on the Lush website. The tin is similar to other lip balm tins and the lid can be a little tough to get off at first, but after a while and a few openings it loosens up a lot and gets better.
The perfume itself is pale, hard and waxy in it's texture, and to use it you just rub your finger on the wax, which melts it a tiny bit, and then dab your finger onto your skin where you want the perfume, and the scent will be transferred. It's very easy to use, just dab a bit on your neck, wrists and anywhere else you want to smell nice!
The scent is not as strong as with the other Snow Fairy scented products, but the aroma is definitely there. The perfume smells like sweet candy floss, and a little bit raspberry-ish, with a hint of bubblegum. It's very feminine, and I love the sugary smell. This daytime scent would suit younger teenagers but I think those past the mid-decade mark might fight it a bit too young smelling for them. I hope I can still get away with it in my 30s though!
The perfume lasts 2-3 hours on my skin before I can no longer smell it, but because the tin is so handy to carry around, it's no problem reapplying it. Overall I can really recommend this sweet smelling, girly solid perfume, particularly as a top up scent when using other Snow Fairy / Candy Fluff scented products.
I am a big fan of perfume and I own quite a lot of designer perfumes which I love to wear. The only problem with these is that they are usually expensive to buy so I have recently started to buy smaller cheaper perfumes from lush and the body shop that I can wear around the house or popping to the shops and save my good more expensive ones for work and more special occassions.
One of my my first purchases of perfume from Lush was the snow fairy perfume when I was in browsing. It only cost me £4.95 is actually a solid perfume of which I was not overly failiar with previously and comes in a silver coloured tin that is reminicent of the type vaseline and lip balms come in.
Inside the tin is the perfume which is as I said in a solid state. It looks a bit like hard parrafin and is greasy and waxy to the touch. To use i all you have to do is run your finger along the hard wax until i softens and some comes off on your finger just like with a lip balm and then you just dab it on the skin where ever you would like it.
I find that the best place for this is on my pulse points at my nek and my wrists and also just behind my neck. I don't really like applying it to my facial skin die to the greasiness of it but to be fair once it is on my wrist and neck skin it sinks in really well and is not noticable but I am just a little worried it might be too heavy and make me break out.
The scent is very sutble and not one for those who like a heavy perfume but I think it is lovely. It is quite a sweet smelling scent and reminds me a tiny bit of old fashioned bubblegum but just in a more subtle sophisticated way so don't le this put you off trying it. I also can smell vanilla coming from it and it acually reminds me more of a body butter than a perfume but I quite like this as sometimes when I have a bath I wish the smell of my lotion would last longer.
For me I would say this is a light daytime scent that is probably a bit on the younger side of things bu it is perfect for keeping in your pocket or bag and dabbing a little bit on during the day.
It is no the longest lasting of perfumes and I find myself having to reapply every couple of hours whcih I really don't find a problem since the tin is so handy to carry around with me.
Talking of the tin it can be a complete and utter pain to remove the lid when it was new and I originally thought I must have got a bum one but after being so impressed with this one I bought some different scents and they also had this problem. It's a little annoying but with use it soon loosens up.
This little tin of solid perfume will never replace my designer ones but as a cheap alternative they make a nice little change and it is refreshing to be able to apply it as often as I like without worrying about the cost.
With christmas coming up I also think this would make a great stocking filler for teenagers and young girls.
Solid Perfume isn't something I go for. It just seems odd to actually rub your perfume on in this way, but I got a tin of this last yeat, used it a bit then forgot about it until I found it in my cupboard last month. It still smelt alright and still had a fair amount left in it, so I popped this in my bag to use up.
This comes in a simple silver coloured tin. It has a label on the top and bottom. I like how simple Lush products are, and also this is small enough to put in your pocket so handy for that.
This costs £4.95 from Lush (well it was when I bought it). This does do a lot of times, so perhaps ok value for money. The good thing about Lush is that the products are hand made and pretty natural as well. Think Organic products are used in most of the items.
You just pull the lid off this. It is flat and sits on the tin. Just looks like the Dooyoo picture, and that's a bit easier to describe rather than trying to explain it.
When you open this tin you see that the tin is full of a sort of Waxy product It is solid and the way to get this out is to kind of press your finger into the tin which warms and loosens the Wax and then you can rub this over where you want it to go. Although it feels Waxy and sort of heavy on the skin it dries in and then doesn't seem too greasy.
The scent of this is nice enough, but it is quite sweet. I would say that this is a bit like a Candy Floss kind of scent, but it also smells like a light fresh scent as well. It isn't all Sugary smelling. It smells quite a young scent and I would say my teenage niece would probably like it, but I feel that I like this kind of scent for a change, but it wouldn't be 1 I would want to use all the time.
A nice change to a Perfume that you Squirt, and a nice change of scent for me too.
Up until a few weeks back the solid perfume range from Lush was something of a mystery to me. Id seen them sold in the shops (and tried one out AGES ago) and everyone on Dooyoo raving about how good they were but for some reason I had never tried them myself. So I decided to have a look on eBay to se eif I could pick up any of their perfumes for bargain prices and because I found an absolute load on there I decided to treat myself to 3 or 4 tins to see what all the fuss was about - purely for Dooyoo research of course! I decided to try this 'Lush Snow Fairy Solid Perfume' first because I have used the matching shower gel in the past and absolutely LOVED the smell so I thought this would be a great starting point.
Price: Around 5.00 (Price will vary greatly as I believe this particular scent has now been discontinued in stores)
Stockists: eBay's probably your best bet for this fragrance.
Other Info: DO NOT leave the tub in direst sunlight and aim to keep it as cool as you can otherwise it will melt, if it becomes too solid (sometimes happens in the colder weather) holding the tub between your hands should leave it at a usable consistency and this product has a 6 month shelf life but I reckon I'll have used it all up quicker than that!
To an observer I think the appearance of this perfume might fool some people into thinking its a run of the mill lipbalm (its worked on a few of my friends LOL) because to be fair thats exactly what it looks like. It comes in a small metal tub a lot like a Vaseline tub with simply the Lush brand name and the 'Snow Fairy' product name on the outside. Inside the perfume looks even more like a lipbalm as it is totally solid and a yellowy/brown colour - not the most appealing Lush product I have to say. I was a bit disappointed that this wasnt coloured bright pink like the rest of the Snow Fairy range I think that would have made it look much nicer but thats not really a major disadvantage.
One thing I will say about the packaging is that when you first buy this the lid can be very hard to get off - particularly if you have long nails like I do. After a few uses it does start to loosen up a bit but at first it can be quite tricky to open so that might be worth keeping in mind.
I think the scent of this is absolutely gorgeous as it is much like the shower gel but not as strong and with a few other yummy fragrances added in. Like the shower gel this does remind me of candyfloss and bubblegum but this one had lovely cocoa butter/shea butter scents in it as well which for me makes it even more wearable. Theres no denying this is a very sweet and distinctive scent so if your not into sweet perfumes I dont think you will like this one very much at all but for Lush lovers I recommend it to you all!
A small amount of this perfume on your neck and wrists is more than enough to give off a gorgeous fragrance without it being too overpowering and I think a little bit of this goes a long way so you wont waste loads everytime you want to apply it. A few little dabs here and there and you'll be smelling gorgeous all day long. Well for 4-5 hours anyway which is how long it tends to last on me. Which isnt as long as most perfumes but as you hardly use any each time I think thats an appropriate length of time.
I would highly recommend this to women of all ages as I think as long as you like the Snow Fairy fragrance this will be right up your alley! It may not be as widely available anymore but it can still be bought quite easily and cheaply and it smells gorgeous so I cant think of anything bad to say! Highly recommended from me, I love it!
Thanks For Reading.

Snow Fairy is without a doubt the most popular scent at Christmas time. What with its pink and sparkly look and its candyfloss scent, it is more than girly. I was jumping off the sofa in excitement when Lush released it as a solid perfume last year. I love the scent but didn't want to have to carry around my precious bottle of Candy Fluff (the same scent as Snow Fairy) perfume around in my hand bag through fear of it being damaged so to have Snow Fairy made into a nice little solid perfume in a little screw top tin, perfect for travelling was definately the answer to my Christmas wish!
The Snow Fairy solid perfume comes in a little aluminium screw top tin and inside the tin there is a balmy solid perfume. On top of the lid there is a small sticker which states that it is Lush and the product is the Snow Fairy solid perfume. It retailed for £4.95 at the time it was available in Lush stores.
The Snow Fairy scent is very much like candyfloss. It is very sweet and makes me think of when you are a kid and you walk into a sweetshop. It is a very sugary and a very girly girl scent. It is and always has been on of my favourite scents.
The perfume is 10g and looks a little bit like a lip balm though I would not recommend putting it on your lips - my husband did and his lips stung for ages! This is strictly a perfume. It is completely solid and sadly it is not coloured the same bright pink as the Snow Fairy shower gel, it is just a beige/yellowish colour much like lip balm.
As soon as you unscrew the lid you are hit by the sweet and lovely smell of Snow Fairy. It isn't a strong heady scent but it is strong enough to be noticeable even in its solid perfume form.
It has a waxy feel and to use it all you need to do is sweep your finger across the surface and then once you have a sheen of the solid perfume on your fingertip you simply just apply it to whichever body part you wish. It can be applied to the neck, the wrists - pretty much anywhere you want to be smelling of Snow Fairy!
The solid perfume doesn't last very long - about 3 hours before the scent dies away but seeing as the tin is so small and is perfect for your handbag you can just reapply easily wherever you are. And you will not offend anyone either because you don't have to spray it.
Now not only do Lush solid perfumes leave you smelling lovely because they are also made with cocoa butters jojoba oils it leaves the skin where you have applied it very smooth and soft which I found as an added bonus. I didn't even realise about the butters used in the soid perfume until I mentioned to a member of Lush staff that my skin felt really smooth and soft wherever I had applied the Snow Fairy and she pointed the fact out to me.
One thing you do need to be aware of and this goes for any Lush solid perfume is that if you do not screw the lid back on the top properly the perfume with dry up and go a crusty looking white colour and you just won't be able to use it properly. Sometimes if it has been particularly cold, you will notice that your solid perfume will go quite hard. All you have to do is hold the tin in the palms of your hands for a few minutes and it will loosen the perfume back up. Also do not leave the solid perfume in sunlight or near heat otherwise it will melt.
One 10g tin of Snow Fairy solid perfume easily lasted me six months so they are great value for money too.
This was strictly limited edition and was only available last Christmas but there are still plenty floating about for you to buy on eBay and the Lush forum's swap shop.
Snow Fairy is an extremely popular fragrance that Lush brings out every Christmas. It started off as a shower gel, and last year they extended the range to include a bath melt, and a solid perfume.
Snow Fairy shower gel is the most girly product I have ever seen Lush sell! It is bright pink with lots of glitter and sparkles, and smells incredibly sickly sweet. I usually quite like sweet smells- I love Lush's Candy Cane bubble bar, for example- but I find Snow Fairy shower gel just too sickly. The scent reminds me of Calpol and makes me feel rather poorly!
I was therefore slightly alarmed when a very enthusiastic assistant came rushing up to me when I was browsing in Lush during the January sales, and shoved a Snow Fairy solid perfume under my nose! It is definitely not something I would have looked out for to sniff, but I was pleasantly surprised. The scent from the solid perfume was like a lighter, less sickly version of the shower gel. However, it was not the kind of scent I would choose to wear every day, so I decided not to buy it. Instead I stocked up on Christmas Eve bubble bars, which I absolutely love, and was very excited to be given a goody bag for spending over £25.
When I got home and peeked in the goody bag, I had to laugh when I saw I'd received a Snow Fairy solid perfume! The staff must have been determined to make sure I got one! The perfume had a RRP of £5.75, and the little pot contained 10g of perfume, so this was a generous freebie.
Lush produce a range of perfumes in a solid form, as they require less chemicals than liquid versions, which makes them kinder to the environment as well as to your skin. Along with the Snow Fairy blend of fragrance oils, the solid perfume also contains fair trade organic cocoa butter, and organic jojoba oil. I like the sound of this as it should act as a moisturiser as well as a perfume- two for the price of one!
As you can see from the photo, the solid perfume comes in a little silver screw tin. The tin itself is not the easiest of things to open, as it frequently jams shut and its tiny size makes it very difficult to lever the lid off. I have found the quickest way to open it is to place the pot on the palm of one hand, and place my other hand flat over the top. I then twist my palms in opposite directions, and this seems to do the trick as the lid then usually falls off!
As the name suggests, the perfume inside is indeed solid! It is a similar texture to hard polish or wax, and has none of the bright pink sparkles of Snow Fairy shower gel- it is just a dull pale yellow/beige colour. To use the perfume, you need to scrape out a tiny amount of the product and then rub it into your wrists. The smell is very strong initially, but fades after a few minutes and is much more pleasant. The smell reminds me of candy floss, bubble gum, jelly beans, and candy canes, so it is still a very sweet candy type of smell. It is very feminine, and is much more likeable than the overpowering sickly sweetness of the standard Snow Fairy shower gel.
I found the smell lasted throughout the day and I didn't need to reapply it at all. However if you like your perfumes super strong then this solid perfume is a very convenient size to simply pop in your handbag or purse for reapplying later in the day.
This is not a scent I would wear every day, as it is a very girly sweet scent and I need to be in the right kind of mood to enjoy wearing it. However for occasional use it makes a nice change. I think any fans of Snow Fairy shower gel will love the scent of the solid perfume, and it is perfect for very girly girls who enjoy very sweet candy type scents. Even if you hate Snow Fairy, like me, this is still worth a sniff!
The tin has a use by date of 14 months after it was made, but as you only need a teeny bit at a time I think you will get a lot of applications from it. Even with every day use, I imagine this would last at least six months if not longer, which makes it very good value for money, particularly compared to how much it would cost to wear an eau de toilette daily for the same length of time. However I doubt I will even make a dent in my solid perfume before the expiry date as I am only using it roughly once a week, so you need to want to wear it frequently to get your monies worth!
In summary, I'm not enough of a Snow Fairy fan to really love this solid perfume. However it is much more bearable than the Snow Fairy shower gel, and once it has settled on your skin the smell isn't too bad! The solid perfume is very long lasting, which is fabulous, and having it as a solid rather than a liquid makes it cheaper, more environmentally friendly, and kinder to your skin as it doesn't need as many chemicals. If you're a Snow Fairy fanatic then this is a must so you can smell of bubble gum all day long! If not then it is worth a try when Christmas comes closer as the solid perfume is less sickly than the shower gel. Lush stores (and www.Lush.co.uk) usually get their Christmas range in stock around September, so not too long to wait now!
It has to be said time spent in a Lush store is a slice of heaven for me. I really love their products and their ethics, one range in particular I like is the snow fairy range.
The snow fairy shower gel is only available during the christmas season, so I was delighted to discover the snow fairy solid perfume to remind me of my favourite showergel when it is not in the store (not that I go into my overdraft bulk buying for the year it or anything!)..
I hadn't really heard of solid perfumes before discovering the range they have at Lush, there is about 8 different scents to choose from, all £4.95-£6.25. Instantly there is a huge difference in price and packaging, and with the tin smaller than that of a tin of vaseline it is definately something you can take with you on the go with very little hassle, and with no risk of it leaking in your bag.
The whole experience is different too, as you are not spraying on a perfume like you would do normally. This solid perfume requires you to apply it yourself, which actually is quite a novel idea as with a spray it is easy to end up with half of it going in the air rather than on you, therefore wasting money.
All of the solid perfumes differ slightly in texture and consistancy, but snow angel is generally quite easy to rub in and apply.
Any fans of snow angel will instantly get a stream of delight at the nostalgia this solid perfume brings as it smells just like it's showergel counterpart, which is essentially bubble gum, sweets and a hint of fruit (but not too fruity, sort of Banana ish). It's perfect, not too overpowering and fantastic to take with you in your bag, even with the smallest of bags (particuarly going out bags), you could fit this in there no problem.
In terms of any negative aspects (and it pains me to bring these up with any Lush products as I adore them), I would say that after a while the mixture of the perfume can get a bit lumpy/messy. If it's loosely placed in the tin which occassionally it is, a good idea to revive the perfume is to tip it out and turn it upside down, then it's essentially good as new again. But if you're not fussed what it looks like in the tin this shouldn't be too much of an issue.
At roughly £5, you could be, and well if you're like me, WILL be tempted to buy several other Lush solid perfumes! A definate winner, and a totally different kind of perfume experience.
Snow Fairy Solid Perfume by Lush shares a name and scent with Lushs' Christmas Limited Edition shower-gel.
The snow-fairy scent is, in my opinion, the girliest and sweetest Lush have to offer.
The perfume comes in a little silver tin that weighs 10g. Inside there is a solid creamy-whitey sort of stuff which looks like Cocoa Butter.
As soon as you open the tin, the scent hits you ; it smells like candy floss and / or bubble gum, depending on your perspective. It always reminds me of candy floss though. It is the sweetest smell in the world, and really does remind you why being a big girly-girl sometimes is so great!
To use it ; you rub your finger onto the surface then transfer the scent to wherever you want it. Or, alteratively, scrape some off with the back of your fingernail and apply that way (it's a bit easier that way, in all honesty)
I'm not usually one for overly girly things, but Snow Fairy (the perfume and shower gel) is one of those things I make an exception for - however, I only use it occassionaly since I'm not often in a 'smell like bubblegum' mood.
I'd suggest buying this for any young girls in your life - they'll love you for it, no doubt!
I bought one of these the minute the Christmas stock came in along with the Snow Fairy shower gel that I buy each Christmas. I was delighted to see that lush had decided to a solid perfume of Snow Fairy and I couldn't wait to receive it as there is nothing I love more than the shower gel.
Well needless to say I wasn't dissapointed when it did arrive and couldn't wait to try it out. It smells gorgeous just like bubblegum :) I wore it to work the next day and the amount of compliments I got was amazing everyone was asking what it was. The smell lasted for hours and I only put it on once more during the day, you only need to put about three dabs on your neck. It smells even nicer when used after having a shower with the snow fairy shower gel (you defantly get compliments then!!!)
If you love girly sweet smells then this is defantly the perfume for you. Once again Lush have amazed me with another amazing product.
I was thrilled to receive a little pot of this in my stocking as I love the Snow Fairy scent (I also got a large bottle of the shower gel - yay!).
Snow Fairy is a Lush limited edition Christmas product and smells of sweets, bubblegum, generally a very girly scent. The shower gel is pink and shimmery, the solid perfume is white in colour and contains Japan wax and cocoa butter to provide a base and make it solid. It comes in a little round tin similar to the other lip balm and solid perfume tins. The tin is really cute and easy to carry around. As it's solid, there is of course no risk of liquid leaking all over your bag.
To use, just rub your finger over the top or use your fingernail to scrape a little out of the pot, and apply on your wrists, neck or anywhere else you want to smell sweet. The smell lasts for ages and you keep getting whiffs of the lovely sweet scent all day!
The product costs £5.75 for 10g, which might sound expensive but it lasts for ages, and when you think of how expensive most perfumes are, it seems like a bargain.
I had never tried solid perfume before but am very impressed by this. I am going to take it with me when I go abroad later this month, rather than my liquid perfume miniatures - that's one less liquid to fit in my clear plastic bag at security!
Unfortunately the Snow Fairy product range is no longer available at Lush - you'll have to wait until next Christmas, or maybe try out eBay.
Snow Fairy is one of the Lush limited edition Christmas products, girly girls will be familiar with the shower gel as it has been around for a few years and it was joined in 2009 by a matching solid perfume so you can smell sweet all day long.
The Lush solid perfumes may seem expensive as this one costs £5.75 for a tiny little silver tin containing just 10g of perfume but they really do last for months, I am a massive fan of the Karma perfume tin and mine has lasted for 9 months so far even though I use it several times a week. The perfume itself is a solid white in colour with japan wax and cocoa butter being used as a perfume base. To use the perfume you simply rub your finger along the top of the perfume and it will melt with your body heat and you then transfer it to your body.
The smell of Snow Fairy perfume is sweet and girly, to me it smells like bubble gum or candy floss with vanilla. The perfume has musk added which the shower gel does not but it does not make much difference to the smell so if you know what the shower gel smells like then you will know what the perfume smells like. The scent is not at all subtle or sophisticated, the scent you put on lingers well on your skin for several hours but does not change or develop over time. I think it will appeal to girls who like sweet body sprays and perfumes, one for teenagers or young women rather than somebody older.
My teenage daughter loved snow fairy shower gel and was delighted at receiving the solid perfume from her favourite aunty as a Christmas gift. She is a girl who normally sprays far too much impulse around the room so giving her a solid perfume is a stroke of genius as not only is the ozone layer safe but I don't have to breathe in the fumes from an aerosol. She does reapply the perfume several times a day but has barely dented the surface of the tin so it will last her for several months and will fit neatly into a bag or pocket to take out and about. Snow fairly shower gel and solid perfume both make perfect low cost stocking fillers for girly girls.
