Lush Tuca Tuca
Advantages: A lovely unique scent
Disadvantages: It wouldn't be for everyone
I had a 2ml sample bottle of this that lasted me for a week or so.
I still have the odd sniff of this when I visit Lush stores.
The perfume is a "Marmite" scent. You will either LOVE it or HATE it. This is because the perfume is so unique. I have never smelt anything quite like this before. I suppose in a way that's a good thing. The perfume reminds me of those Parma Violet sweets that I used to buy when I was younger. It does contain notes of violet and these violet notes are quite strong. These violet notes give the scent a warming floral feel. I would recommend this perfume to everyone as I love it. However it does smell quite retro so my best guess is that it would appeal more to the older woman. It's not what I would class as a youthful scent.
Tuca Tuca has great staying power. It smells quite strong to begin with and as soon as you spray it you can detect the stronger floral notes. I can also detect the ylang ylang in the perfume and the ylang ylang gives the scent a sensual edge. The sensual aspect of the perfume makes me feel quite sexy and feminine when I wear it. The perfume settles really well. Once it has settled it becomes more of a baby powder smell but I love this about the perfume. Overall it is a gorgeous scent and it's one that I will always thank Lush for!
When I get paid I will buy a bigger bottle of this. Currently the larger 30ml bottle from Lush is on sale for £23.00. A bargain in my opinion.
Summary: One of my favourite Lush scents
