Advantages: Smell delicious

Disadvantages: may be too sweet for some people

This solid perfume was another of my purchases on a recent shpping trip to lush. It is probably the one I wear the least but that's not to say that I don't like it, it's just that it is a little different from the kind of perfumes I normally buy.

As the name Vanillary suggests this is a vanilla based scent that also contains jasmine and tonka. Normally I wouldn't buy something that was vanilla based but I was seduced in the shop as it smelt good enough to eat so I had to have it.
I was a little surprised to see it cost more than my other solid perfumes I bought that day but it is still only £6 so it is really cheap for what you get and like the others it comes in a black stick that contains 12g of solid perfume.

The solid perfume itself is a lovely buttery cream colour and as soon as you open it the smell of vanilla hits you but in combination with the other ingredients it makes it a little more sophisticated than just a pure vanilla scent would be.
It is extremely sweet and I imagine the actual liquid perfume would be too cloying for me but as this is solid it is a little more subtle and makes it much more wearable for me.
To me it is definaely a daytime perfume and I would feel out of place wearing this anywhere at night.

It goes on extremely well and doesn't leave any stains on the skin although it does leave a slight shine where you have slicked it.
Even though the solid perfume is a little more subtle than the liquid one it is still quite potent when you apply a lot of it so I recommend you just apply a little bit to you pulse points and the smell will stay with you quite a long time.

The stick is incredibly handy to carry around with you and unlike with the tin you won't have any trouble with removing the lid.
I personally like to wear this perfume after I have had a shower and applying palmers cocoa butter as I find that it compliments the body butter perfectly and with the two of them I have a lovely smell for the entire day.

Vanillary solid perfume won't be to everybodies taste but even if you do not normally like vanilla based perfumes you should give this a try and see as it is not as cloying as some of them can be.

Summary: A delicious smelling perfume from lush
