Advantages: Lovely bottle, nice smell

Disadvantages: Expensive

The first thing that actually attracted me to this perfume was the beautiful bottle. The bottle is made of see through glass but then on either side of the lid stopper and two beautiful daisies. THe daisies are made out of a touch foam and are quite big. Of course, they don't really look real but they definitely look very striking and pretty and I think will make the bottle look great on your bedside cabinet. The liquid inside is then a lovely golden colour, almost like the colour of the inside of a daisy. On the front of the bottle the words, Daisies, Marc Jacobs are just simply written.

The smell itself is described as a sunny, pure and free spirited fragrance and is classified as a floral fragrance. It comes from the American designer Marc Jacobs. He is very successful and is currently the Creative Director of Louis Vuitton!

Like I said, this fragrance is classified as a floral fragrance. I generally tend to really like smells like this as I always find them quite light and easy to wear and this perfume was no different. The floral heart notes in this perfume are made up of gardenia, violet and jasmine, beautiful smelling flowers in themselves. Then there are top notes of fruit such as wild strawberry and red grapefruit. To finish off the base notes are made of musk, vanilla and white woods. I mustn't have a very strong nose because I can never distinguish the smells that the perfume is meant to have, ie, it does not smell overly fruity to me. It's definitely light and not too sweet and a very good perfume to wear during the day. I would agree with their description of it being sunny as it does give you a nice upbeat feeling when you wear this perfume.

I find that the perfume does last all day after putting it on in the morning and I have had a bottle now since Christmas and it has hardly ben used at all.

They market this perfume as carefree, flirty, natural. It is supposed to be happy and youthful and sophisticated but not too serious. I think the fact that they have big plastic daisies on the bottle does keep it quite young. In fact, according to an article I read this perfume was designed to bring younger consumers into the Marc Jacobs fold.

I do find this perfume quite expensive though compared to other perfumes out there. A 50ml bottle will cost you £39 and a 100ml bottle will cost you £48 but it's still a lovely smell.

Summary: Daisies by Marc Jacobs
