Advantages: smells nice, looks nice, lasts a long time (smell and product)

Disadvantages: none!

I'd never been much into perfume but after smelling this on a few occasions in Boots or Debenhams I really liked it and would always borrow my friends on a night out. I saw an advert for it in nearly every magazine and knew it to be very popular which used to put me off but it smelt so good I couldn't resist!

The bottle design is really cute, it is a clear, rounded rectangular shape. Marc Jacobs and Daisy are written on the front in gold and you can see the yellow (a summery, warm yellow) coloured perfume inside. The lid is round and gold with three daisys stuck around it of varying size. The middle of the daisys are gold too. The flowers don't get in the way of removing the lid at all which you would expect them to. Before seeing the bottle in person, I thought the flower decorations on top of the lid were hard but when I actually held the bottle it turns out the daisys are rubbery plastic so there's no worry of them breaking off. I love how this bottle looks in my room and often half the reason I now choose perfumes is because of how they look (you are paying half the price for this itself so why not be a bit fussy!).

There are few different colour variations of the bottles including black and gold, gold and black, silver and white and even red and black. I think these colours are aimed for older women as the standard bottle is very young (but still sophisticated and elegant) and is aimed at a younger market. I think some of them are limited edition too, as Daisy is now I famous Marc Jacobs perfume that is a recognisable and famous bottle and scent. There is a new 'eau so fresh' version which is a lighter version and the bottle is pink with gold and white flowers on top.

So this brings me onto the smell itself! The description online is:
Enter the world of Daisy: fresh and feminine, with a playful innocence. At the heart of Daisy is a floral with vintage edge: violet. Sophisticated, with a touch of whimsy, violet captures the eclectic, vintage flavor of Marc Jacobs' feminine, edgy designs. Always elegant, always enchanting - but not too serious - Daisy is a sparkling floral bouquet, spirited and fresh, wrapped in comfort and warmth.
Notes: Strawberry, Violet Leaves, Ruby Red Grapefruit, Gardenia, Violet Petals, Jasmine Petals, Musk, Vanilla, White Woods.

I think this is very accurate description of the perfume as it is very fresh and enchanting but like they say not to serious. The smell is definitely floral but not sickeningly sweet or overpowering like floral smell sometimes can be, the smell is light and fresh and perfect for wearing in summer. I think it is so appealing because it uses vanilla and musk which the majority of people seem to like and are in most of the perfumes I've smelt. The smell seems to last a very long time through the day too, I spray a little around my neck and a spray for my wrists and the smell is with me all day. I do find it can be a bit too much if I accidently spray too much but it will die down after a little while. It is more of a daytime smell rather than one you would going out at night but I still do as I love it so much. It's not really a 'sexy' smell but makes me feel girly and fresh instead but doesn't make me feel immature either.

Mum bought me my bottle for about £40-£50 from The Perfume Shop for Christmas which I think is a very fair price (I only ever get perfumes at Christmas which also justifies the price as it makes them more special). You are paying for a beautiful bottle, a well known great brand that is Marc Jacobs who appeals to high street and high end shoppers, and a smell that is lovely and lasts a long time. I have had my perfume for 7months now and am only just about half way through the perfume so it will definitely last a long time.

Obviously everyone smells smells different so make sure you smell before buying but I would definitely recommend as it lasts forever and the bottle looks good on display it is definitely worth the money and it smells amazing!

Summary: Fresh as a daisy, great perfume!
