Marc Jacobs Daisy Sunshine Edition was my second purchase from their Sunshine Edition range, which I bought a few days after buying Daisy Eau So Fresh Sunshine Edition.
I had been torn between the two for my initial purchase and decided on Eau So Fresh, which came in a 75ml bottle, but days later I decided I needed this fragrance as well.
There are three fragrances in the Sunshine Editions collection. There is Daisy Sunshine (which comes in the same shape bottle as Marc Jacobs Daisy), Daisy Eau So Fresh Sunshine (which comes in the same shape bottle as Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh) and Oh, Lola! Sunsheer (which comes in the same shape bottle as Marc Jacobs Oh! Lola).

Although I bought this in Boots it is not available to buy from their website, but it is available in department stores such as House of Fraser and Debenhams as well as The Perfume Shop.
The 50ml bottle cost £45.00. This is the only sized bottle the fragrance is available in. It is also only available as an eau de toilette.
~ Bottle ~
The bottle is made from clear glass. It is quite a flat bottle, not much taller than an inch, but about two inches wide and almost an inch thick. The bottle has rounded edges and it is narrower in the middle.
The fragrance itself is a light orange colour.
The bottle has 'Daisy Marc Jacobs' written on the front in black lettering. It does not say anywhere on the bottle that this is the Sunshine Edition, but the perfume box gives it away. The box is white with little green, orange and pink daisies around the border.
The lid is a gold coloured ball covered by 3 rubbery bendy bright coloured daisies. There is a small bright green coloured daisy, a medium sized bright orange daisy and a large bright pink daisy. I think the colours go well with each other and make the bottle look very summery.
Each daisy has a gold coloured centre.
I really like the bottle for this fragrance. It is bold and colourful. The glass is chunky and not being as tall as the bottle for Daisy Eau So Fresh Sunshine Edition, I think it looks a lot more attractive.
I don't think it looks tacky with the bright colours as the lid is well made and you can see it is of good quality - I'd describe it as fun!
~ Scent ~
The scent has a vague resemblance to the original Marc Jacobs Daisy, but I prefer this fragrance.
It is really fruity, refreshing and uplifting.
The top notes are mandarin, guava and red currant.
The heart notes are lily of the valley, lychee and violet.
The base notes are blond woods and musk.
The mandarin really stands out in this fragrance and the red currant is also evident. It is light juicy and fresh.
The floral notes bear a resemblance to those in the original Daisy fragrance by Marc Jacobs.
I really like this fragrance and I think I prefer it to Daisy Eau So Fresh Sunshine Edition as it is more fruity and I love the mandarin scent in it.
It is a very summery fragrance, but it was only released in October 2012.
I heard on an online forum that the Sunshine Editions will not be released in the United States of America and would only be available in Europe. This irritates me a bit because I'd hate to think that a fragrance from a big name like Marc Jacobs would be released exclusively to a far away country that I didn't have easy access to like the USA.
I love this fragrance. It is so fresh and fruity. You find yourself sniffing at your wrists obsessively because it smells so good.
Unfortunately I must admit that the sillage is very poor and this perfume is not the longest lasting.
It lasts for around 3-4 hours on your skin. The longevity can be improved by spraying it on your clothing or hair, but this is not an ideal thing to have to do.
I'd say this perfume would appeal to women of all ages. It is fruity, but not overly sweet. It still has an elegance to it.
With it being so light and summery I think this fragrance is more of a day time scent than one that I would choose to wear on a night out.
~ Conclusion ~
I really like this scent, but it really lacks staying power and therefore it becomes a bit pointless. While it does last I really love the scent.
I'm not sure if I would buy this again if I ran out. It is one of the nicest fruity scents that I have used. If it had a higher concentration and longer staying power I would definitely buy it again, but £45.00 is quite a lot of money to pay for a fragrance with such poor longevity.
If it had better staying power it would get the full 5 stars as I really do love the scent.
