Inticing yet Stately (Marc Jacobs: Marc Jacobs, Eau De Toilette)
Member Name: ClimbTheLadder
Advantages: Great smell Disadvantages: cost In a word, perfect. I first discovered this fragrance back when I was 16. Stuck between the choices of stuffy "old-man" smells and common place favourites in school I wanted something with that bit extra. This was certainly it. The added ingredient (figs believe it or not) really gives this smell an almost intoxicating property that leaves the senses wanting more. 6 years on and I still make sure I have a permanent stock among easily accessible in front of my collection. What is really great about this fragrance is how uncommon it seems to be. Too many of the great mainstays seem now to be in every boardroom, in every office. Marc Jacobs has managed to stay a cult favourite and is always highly distinguishable when around others, though not in an overpowering way. As if that wasn't enough, those of you that are into the current "green" thinking mentality, the bottle acts as a fantastic paperweight after use. Summary: get it |
