Marc Jacobs Oh Lola Eau de Parfum
Advantages: beautiful scent, gorgeous fun bottle, long lasting
It had been a while since I last sniffed it and I was a bit worried that I'd built it up in my head as being nicer than it actually was, but I was not disappointed when I tried the tester again.
~ Bottle ~
I love the bottle! I think it's beautiful and I prefer it to the original Lola bottle, which is purple.
The bottle for Oh, Lola! is different depending on which size you buy. The 30ml and 50ml bottles are taller and thinner with large floral lids. The 50ml bottle is the one Dooyoo have pictured.
The 100ml bottle, which I have, is really wide and almost oval shaped.
The bottle is a light pink colour and has 'Oh, Lola! Marc Jacobs' in black lettering across the front.
The lid has a matte silver plastic cylinder shape with a rope like pattern on as if there is string tying the bottom of the bouquet together.
The huge flower sits on top of this. The flower is made from a flexible rubbery material so the flower is not rigid. It is made up of three layers, each in a different shade of pink and there is a cute green leaf peeking out from underneath.
I love Marc Jacobs bottles. I know some people have written reviews saying they find them tacky, but I think they're really exciting and fun! I think this one is my favourite Marc Jacobs bottle, but I really like Dot too and I really can't wait to try the new Marc Jacobs fragrance, Honey, which is coming out in the summer. The bottle is the same as that of Dot only with white dots and yellow and black striped butteflies to represent bees.

~ Scent ~
This perfume is juicy, fruity, sweet and uplifting. I absolutely love it.
The top notes are wild strawberry, raspberry and pear.
The heart notes are peony, magnolia and cyclamen.
The base notes are sandalwood and vanilla.
The fresh fruity berry notes dominate, setting the scene of a lovely summer day. I can also detect the peony, which is delicate and uplifting and the vanilla note is also evident.
This perfume is very sweet. A lot of people associate sweet perfumes with younger girls and I do think this would appeal to younger girls and teenagers, but I don't feel that it's your typical sweet teenage perfume as they can often smell quite cheap, whereas I think this one has a bit more depth. I wouldn't say that this perfume smells particularly expensive, but I don't think it's your typical sweet fragrance.
It is definitely a spring/ summer fragrance, reminding me of sunshine. I'd say it is definitely a day time scent, rather than one for nights out or special occasions.
To me, this fragrance is very different from the original, Lola and I much prefer this one.
I am in my mid-twenties and I love this perfume, but I think it would appeal to more mature women as well as younger girls and teenagers. There are no sharp or harsh notes in this fragrance at all so I don't think anyone would find it offensive, although those who dislike sweet perfumes may not find that this suits their tastes.
This perfume lasts on my skin for around 8 hours and even longer on clothing.
~ Conclusion ~
I love this perfume. It is one of my favourites. Everything about it is uplifting; the bottle is gorgeous, the scent is summery and beautiful.
I have found that it is long lasting on my skin. It isn't the cheapest of perfumes, but it isn't the priciest out there either.
I would definitely buy this again if my bottle even started to run out. It is now an essential part of my perfume collection. I love it!
