“ Brand: Marc Jacobs / Type: Fragrance / Concentration: Eau de Toilette „
I don't like Marc Jacobs perfumes that much but that doesn't stop my aunt buying me them for every single Xmas, I've told her not to but have give up now and usually end up offloading them onto my mum after Xmas.
The full name for this one is Splash Sorbet Pear and she actually made a good choice with it because I think it's a lovely smell that suits me perfect.
The smell is mega light and fruity, it smells of ripe pears but there's also a floral smell that comes through after you've been wearing it for a bit. I think it's something like jasmine because the floral smell is very musky and even though it's lovely I'm glad it doesn't last very long because I think it makes the perfume smell a lot stronger than I'd like it to.
The pear smell is offset a bit by the gorgeous smell of lemons, that gives the perfume a gorgeous fruity smell that lasts for ages. The lemon smell comes through just as the floral smell is fading and it smells like a completely different perfume by that time. The pear smell is underneath it all for ages, it never goes away really it's just that as all the other notes come through it's shoved to the back a bit.
The staying power of this perfume isn't brill for the price. This bottle was about £30.00 but the perfume only lasts on my skin for about 2 - 3 hours and then I need to apply it again, it's not just me getting used to it either because I asked my mate to time how long she could smell it for the other day and she reckons the smell had completely gone after about 2 1/2 hours.
Over all I reckon this is a lovely summery smell that I do love, I can't be bothered reapplying my perfume through the day so I'll just have to put off with the smell disappearing on me after a bit.
Recommended..... even if like me you're not mad keen on Marc Jacobs perfumes!!!
