      A perfume from M & S.

I visited Marks and Spencer with my mum a couple of weeks ago and while she was browsing around the clothing (looking for sensible work trousers... boring!) I decided to have a look at the beauty range. Therefore it's no surprise really that I ended up making a couple of purchases as I simply don't have the ability to browse and not buy as most people do. The most expensive thing I bought was a bottle of perfume to keep in my handbag for work; you never know when you'll need a little spritz during the day! The "Adored" fragrance isn't one that I'd come across before but as it smelt quite nice and, more importantly really, was priced at only £15 for 100ml (or £6 for 25ml) I decided to purchase it.

As you can see in the photo above the glass bottle has a purple tint to it and also features a large plastic flower on the lid which is also purple. The floral accessory is actually a hair accessory and, if you so wish, you can wear part of the perfume bottle in your hair! The bottle immediately looked familiar to me and any of you perfume addicts out there will no doubt think it resembles Marc Jacobs' Lola perfume bottle which is also purple and has the same large flower on the lid. It comes encased in a plastic box which is largely clear in colour apart from a purple base and lid. The bottle is really attractive and it certainly stands out from the other more typical perfume bottles that you tend to find on the shelves.

The perfume itself has quite a deep and heavy scent to it with notes of orange, mandarin and lemon infused with raspberry and plum. It's also described as having floral tones of jasmine and mimosa with notes of vanilla and amber as well. I'd personally describe it as a strong fragrance with clear hints of the fruity scents and jasmine coming through. It's certainly not a light scent and nor a very floral scent which I quite like about it. Overall I think it's a nice fragrance that lasts for a couple of hours which isn't bad considering the price. The only thing I would say is that it doesn't smell particularly expensive if that makes sense, you wouldn't get it mixed up with a Chanel or Dior perfume for example. I'm giving it four stars as I like the bottle, I quite like the smell and it's a great price for a daytime perfume.

      Thanks for reading.
