“ Brand: Marks & Spencer / Type: Fragrance / Concentration: Eau de Toilette „
With my fondness for Marks & Spencer beauty products I can be fairly sure of getting some goodies from there over Christmas or birthdays/mother's day etc. Last Christmas my grandson Jack informed his mum that he was going to choose his Nan's present himself. He's done this before and picked the most expensive earrings in the shop, knowing how much I love them. This time my daughter said he happily spent ages with the girl on the counter testing the perfume sticks until he found one that he thought smelt like his Nan. I must admit to a tiny tear in my eye at the thought since I wouldn't have considered myself as sensual. One thing he must have noticed is my overall choice of oriental notes to my perfumes.
This is a very attractive but handy shaped bottle with a clear colour and a fabulous gold top and spray nozzle. The writing on the bottle is in gold as well and looks far more luxurious than the price tag shows. The colour of the perfume is pink and this helps me to know when I'm running low. I tend to use this for the evening as it's got a depth to it that suits my skin and stays on for a good few hours before fading to a gentle background aroma.
The first thing you'll notice on spraying this is a strong smell of jasmine, although it's not supposed to be a strong note. I like this as it highlights the oriental touch and assures me that I'm going to like it. The top notes on this are refreshing lemon, bergamot and green notes with a floral heart of roses and subtle jasmine. The base notes are woody with vetiver musk and vanilla. The jasmine, bergamot and woody base give the perfume the oriental aroma while the musk is tempered with vanilla and the rose allows a lightness to show through.
It's a heady mixture that starts out strong and continues well which suits my skin and me. I wouldn't have expected this to be a young perfume but when I went in to buy some more for myself recently there were plenty of young girls trying it out. Apart from lasting on the skin this also lasts well in the bottle and doesn't lose the scent or start to fade in colour. I like the pink touch, it looks like rosewater and I consider that quite a change from most perfumes. The bottle keeps it's writing as well, despite a lot of handling the Name is spelt out in gold and the writing on the rear tells me this is BUAV approved. Obviously it also says not to spray near the eyes and to store in a cool dark place. Mine has sat on my dressing table for a while now.
This is a really nice perfume that will suit most people but I would advise some caution if you are not sure whether the person you are buying it for could take a heady scent, some people find it too strong. Otherwise it makes an ideal gift and is currently on the M&S special offer of buy one get another half price. You can buy it in store or have it delivered to you if you buy online. At this price it would make more than one gift or treat yourself.
Isn't it lovely to think you can wear a perfume called sensual and that alone helps you feel very feminine? Sensuale certainly fits the bill and with it's sophisticated bottle looks just as good in a handbag as the size is 25ml. You can get a larger bottle to sit on your dressing table. I like the small one because I can take it with me and show my grandson how much I appreciate his gift.
Currently M&S are selling this for £6.00 per 25ml bottle. It comes in a sturdy box, ideal for wrapping up for that special someone in your life.
Thanks for reading.
