“ Brand: Miss Sixty / Type: Fragrance / Concentration: Eau de Toilette / Gender: for women „
I bought Miss Sixty Rock Muse eau de toilette, simply because I liked the bottle (it is not the same as that pictured). It was a blind buy, which I ordered online a while back.
~ Bottle ~
I have the 30ml bottle, which is rather small. It is sort of uneven heart shape with a banner across the front of it with 'Miss Sixty' embossed onto it.
There are also embossed flames all away around the bottom of the bottle. The bottom of the bottle is made from red glass, but it blends into a more orange colour towards the top of the bottle.
The lid and vaporiser are set to the right hand side of the bottle and a thick silver band sits beneath the lid, with cross and diamond shapes equally spaced around it.
The lid itself is made from red plastic and sits over the red plastic vaporiser. The lid is angular and is shaped to represent a precious gem stone.
I think the bottle is quite pretty, though the 30ml bottle is very small and could easily fit into the palm of your hand.
~ Price and availability ~
The eau de toilette comes in 30ml, 50ml and 75ml bottles.
It was originally released back in 2007 and is quite difficult to get hold of now, but it is sometimes available on cheapsmells.com and it is currently available on Amazon.co.uk at £21.99 for the 30ml bottle and £35.99 for the 75ml bottle.
The 50ml bottle is available brand new on ebay.co.uk for £25.99.
~ Scent ~
This fragrance has quite a dark, deep scent.
It has top notes of sparkling grapefruit, bergamot, red currant, prickle gooseberry and gourmand plum.
The heart notes are jasmine, tea, rose and heliotrope.
The base notes are patchouli, sandalwood, vetiver, musk and basmati rice!
I can detect the fruity notes, which are dulled down by the tea.
I find the fragrance quite harsh, but once it has settled on the skin it is quite subtle. I cannot detect any floral notes in it.
To me, it smells quite spicy and warming. I think it is an autumn/winter fragrance, but I don't really like this scent. I find it too harsh.
The scent quickly dies down to become more subtle and it sits quite close to your skin, but I don't mind since I don't actually like it.
It lasts around 8 hours on your skin before fading away, which is good for an eau de toilette.
I think this fragrance is aimed at younger women, judging by the bottle design, but I think a lot of younger women will find this too harsh, as I do.
~ Conclusion ~
I really don't like this fragrance. It is far too harsh for my tastes! I would not recommend this to anyone, even those who are tempted by the unusual list of notes!
The longevity is good, but this is another negative for me as I don't like it.
The bottle is nice enough, but its contents are offensive.
I have seen this selling on cheapsmells.com in 2013 so I believe this has only recently been discontinued. I have no idea how a fragrance like this can still be on sale 6 years after its release unless it is the same stuff they got in back in 2007, which they haven't managed to sell!
I got this about 7 months ago. The reason that I bought this was that I was looking for a new Perfume which wasn't all that much money and also I wanted to try something different. I have used most of the Miss Sixty Perfumes as they are nice and price wise they are good too. Although I feel that this range of Perfumes are more aimed at the teenage market, they are nice and light scented Perfumes which is what I like.
I got this in a 50ml bottle and this cost me £10.95. I bought this online and got free delivery as well.
The design of the bottle is different to the Dooyoo picture. So perhaps 1 of them is an older bottle and the design has changed. The bottle is a medium orange colour and in the shape of a heart kind of. Not a perfect Heart shape, but still a heart. The lid is a simple ball shaped lid. It all looks ok and a bit more expensive looking than what I was expecting for the price of this.
The scent of this is nice. I can smell Grapefruit and Berries. To be honest I was expecting a little bit more of a heavy scent in here instead of fruity and citrus scents with the Rock name of this. I knew of the notes before I bought this anyway and was happy with the scent.
When I first sprayed this I thought this was a bit strong and perhaps a bit sour smelling as it was the Grapefruit scent that I could smell more than anything. After this dried I thought that the scent became a lot nicer and you could smell the Citrus scent enough but the Berries came out more and the 2 scents mixed together well. It was a nice light sunny scent which is perfect for Summer. This scent lasted a good lenght of time considering the price of this, but it wasn't going to last as long as a designer brand. I didn't mind to reapply this due to the price of this anyway.
I would recommend this if you just like a light Citrus scent as it is cheap and cheerful.
I was given this perfume as a gift, although I believe it is available for around £15 for 50ml.
I have to say, I probably would never have bought it myself, going from the packaging because, although the packaging is nice, and the bottle is lovely, I am not a big Miss Sixty fan.
However, I am so glad that this was bought for me as it has opened my eyes and has made me not judge a book by a cover - or a perfume by its box!
The bottle itself is in the shape of a heart, and has a beautiful red crystal topper. The bottle is orange at the top and then fades in to red and has detailling on the bottle.
Fronm reading the box, the perfume is a chypre fragrance with notes of grapefruit, bergamot, redcurrant, heliotrope, jasmine, yerba mate, frosted rose, patchouli, sandalwood, vetiver, soft musk and basmati rice.
I think the grapefruit and redcurrant smells really stand out with this perfume. I put some on in the morning, and when I get home late at night I can still smell it strongly, without the need to reapply.
I think the price of £14.99 is great for this perfume as it is suitable to be used everyday.
I'm not really an expert on perfume and I don't like to spend too much on it. I was initially drawn to the name, and the packaging. It comes in a pretty little bottle, that fits easily into your handbag.
It has a really girly, sweet, yet musky scent, which lasts for hours and suits any occasion.
I choose to wear it either during the day or for a night out. It looks and smells expensive, but I think I picked my bottle up in a Wilkinsons sale for around £14.
It comes in different size bottles, but I like the smaller size because it it a thin shaped bottle and fits into any size handbag..... perfect for a hot date or a night out with the girls.
You can look like you wear expensive designer, distinctive designer perfume without actually having to. Would make a nice gift for a teenage girl or twenty something lady.
I absolutely love this smell! I love all perfumes that are sweet smelling and this definately is.
The Miss Sixty Rock Muse Perfume has a rich, soft, tangy sweet smell to it. I also like the bottle that it comes in. I like my perfume to not only smell good but to be in appealing packaging too. It is a very feminine perfume.
I also like the fact that it could either be worn to work during the day or on a night out with the girls. Some perfumes are too strong for the day but this is not.
I dont own any other Miss Sixty Perfume but had to buy this when one of my friends was wearing it.
It comes in a variety of different sized bottles and is not as expensive on the high street as a lot of other brands of perfume.
I cant really find a downside except that maybe it is soo nice that you will have to buy it quite regularly because you will be wearing it every day if you purchase this.
You can buy this in Boots on sale for £13.00 for a 30ml bottle, £17.33 for a 50ml bottle and £21.66 for a 75ml bottle.
