Another day, another Mogan Perfume. The thing I like about Morgan is that the scents are nice but the prices are reasonable as well.
I got this in a 35ml bottle and think it cost me £7. The bottle sizes for Mogan are that bit different to other bottles as at least you get that bit more for your money. Can't say that i've seen this in many shops but not really looked to be honest. Best place to find it is online.
The bottle shape of this is like most of the Morgan bottles. It is wider at the top and bottom and goes in narrower in the middle. It's a nice shape. This bottle is a bit colourful which I think it can look that but cheap this way. The lid part is pink and there is a few colourful Flowers on here as well. Just not my kind of look to be honest.
So how does this smell? It isn't my most favourite Morgan scent but it is nice. The notes in here are Peony, Blackberry, Guava, Violet, Lily of the Valley, Musk and Cashmere Wood. You get the slight hint of the same scent in most of the Morgan range, but this is freshened up with the Blackberry, and the Cashmere Wood adds a bit of a more deeper Musky scent to it. It's nice in a different way, and the mix of Fruit, Floral and heavier is easily identifiable, but it is mixed well.
This lingers on your skin for a while. After first spraying it and it dries and warms to your skin then the more suble scent is nice and refreshing. After 3 hours I can't seem to smell any of this, but this isn't such a big deal if i've not paid all that much for it.
It is nice for what it is. The Blackberry notes smell fresh and icy, whereas the Peony and Violet are nice as well.
Perhaps one to try especially since this is priced alright. You may end up loving this one!
I bought this while on the hunt for a new but cheap perfume as i can't always afford to restock my more pricier favourites.
Asda sells a lot of perfumes on the cheap when it's coming up for Mothers day so i bought this one at the same time as i purchased her gift. I think it cost me around £6 for a 35ml bottle.
The packaging is a white box with pink flowers and multi coloured pastel stripes, My Morgan is written in black letters at the top.
The bottle itself is glass with the same pattern applied to a plastic cover you could peel off to reveal a plain glass bottle, the lid is a hot pink plastic that you just push down on instead of pulling off like most perfume bottles. It has Morgan de toi written on the top of the lid.
Blackberry & Guava
Peony & Violet & Lilac & Lily-of-the-Valley
Musk & Vanilla & Cashmere Wood.
On first spraying this i wasn't very impressed, it's very fruity with a hint of musk and violet. Though now i can smell the blackcurrant.
I find it smells very cheap and fruity, more like a body spray than a perfume. It does say on the bod Eau De Toilette/spray so i guess i shouldn't have expected much.
I don't find it to settle into anything nice either, it stays the same and reminds me of our locker room at school where someone overly sweaty sprays themselves with a cheap body spray.
It's not something i would expect to smell on anyone over the age of 17, it's a very young fruity smell best suited for summer. If i were sat in the room with someone wearing this it would end up giving me a headache.
I don't think I'll be buying this again, I've used it a few times and I'm still not any closer to liking it. Not a complete waste as my best friend likes it so she'll be given it.
It gets an extra star for the fact it's cheap and does have a nice box, but other than that i find it to be rather terrible, which is a shame because i like another perfume in their range and bought it thinking it may be as nice.
