I received a miniature of this fragrance from my sister for Christmas in a gift set.
It comes in a heart shaped bottle with a pink metallic lid.
The fragrance opens with a bitter and intense citrusy scent, which is the bergamot. It is very strong, but it isn’t too harsh and it isn’t offensive. The citrus soon settles down and reveals a bakery-sweet raspberry note, which is pleasant. I can’t detect the pineapple sorbet note at all in this fragrance, which is a shame as I think it would be nice.
The fragrance is fruity and floral. The floral notes are subtle and soft and they give the fragrance a bit more depth.
To be honest I don’t think the bergamot and raspberry blend well together in this fragrance. I have tried fragrances in the past that have both bergamot and raspberry in the top notes (Nina Ricci La Tentation de Nina springs to mind) and that was done well because the bergamot was sweet like the scent of lemon cake rather than actual lemons or citrus fruit. In Pink Bouquet the raspberry is really sweet and the bergamot is more of an intense citrus scent and the two don’t mix particularly well.
I would not be able to pick out the floral notes in this scent individually. I was surprised to see that lily of the valley was one of the notes listed in this fragrance as usually I find lily of the valley stands out and it can be quite a harsh scent, but I can’t even pick it out in this fragrance. There is just a soft, gentle floral scent which combines with the bergamot and raspberry.
As well as having barely there middle notes I find that I can’t detect any of the base notes in this fragrance.
I thought that gingerbread sounded like another interesting note that I would have liked to have tried out, but I can’t honestly find the peach, gingerbread or musk in this fragrance even as it wears away.
The fragrance lasts on my skin for around 5 hours and I do notice it on myself during this time.
I was pleased to receive this fragrance as I had wanted to try this one out for a while, but my findings have not been very good at all. The scent of the fragrance is ok, but I wouldn’t go as far as to say I like it. The top notes clash a bit, the heart notes are barely there and the base notes don’t bother showing up at all.
I would rather wear this fragrance than no fragrance at all, but there aren’t many other nice things I can say about it.
I can’t recommend this fragrance and I would not buy it again.
