I have tried quite a few Next Perfumes over the years as I find that they smell nice and the prices of the products are pretty good. I recently chose a bottle of this and since I had a £10 voucher to use in Next due to them messing an order up, so I was happy to use this for a Perfume purchase. You get this in a 30ml bottle and this costs £6, or the 100ml bottle costs £12. So I bought the 30ml bottle of this, and another Perfume so had to just put £2 to it - nice. The bottle looks like the picture. It is quite an angular bottle. It is more of a rectangular shape and although it is quite a flat bottle so therefore looks like it is a bit larger than what it is. The glass is clear so you can see the light orange liquid through the bottle. I think that the bottle looks quite cheap and sort of Old looking. I think this is due to the fact of the colour of the liquid makes it look older. This is just my view though. Then again price wise it is pretty cheap anyway considering. This didn't smell exactly what I thought it would smell like. I had images of Mango and Pineapple being a Tropical scent but it didn't smell exactly how I thought it would smell. You can smell Lillies in here and although there is light and fresh smelling scents in here and some Citrus fruits I thought there would be more Fruity scents in here. It all goes together well, and is a nice fresh mix of scents. This lasts a good enough lenght of time as well. After spraying this in the morning I could still smell it later in the day, but it is a good bit fainter and not that much scent to it. Then again due to the price of this I don't mind to reapply this again through the day. A not bad scent which I would use now and again but I don't feel I would buy this again. It's just not exactly the kind of scent that I go for. Price wise perhaps worth a try though.
I am forever spritzing my perfume, and due to this I do get through it very quickly. Having dabbled with many brands such as Juicy Couture, Moschino and Anna Sui, I decided to try out a cheap and cheerful perfume to see how it would do. I actually find that Next's own branded perfumes are lovely, and my latest addition was the Tropical Paradise Eau de toilette. I paid only a mere £12.00 for a 100ml bottle which is fantastic pricing, however it is available in a smaller size for around £6.00, and is also available in gift sets including body lotions and goodies which would make a perfect birthday gift if anyone's is coming up soon, or alternatively a nice little treat for yourself. I had brought a similar perfume called Paradise from Next in previous years and hadn't seen it around for a while, so I assume that this is the new, updated version of it. When in a store the other day, I spritzed a bit and completely fell in love with this, and feel that it will now be my signature summer scent. Next describe it as "a light fruity fragrance with white florals and green notes". Something I must stress is that this is an extremely sweet, fruity scent which I know might not be to everyone's taste. However, I love the sweet, girly scent of it, and unlike many other sweet perfumes, it is not sickly or off putting. All the combinations of fruit just remind you of summer, and make you want to be wearing it on the beach somewhere nice and sunny. The scent is absolutely delicious, and I would recommend it for the upcoming summer, particularly if you are going on holiday and want a signature scent for it. However, despite how much I love the smell, I know it is not to everyone's taste, and it is also only wearable for within the summer months really. Due to the scent being quite strong, I do not find that it is overpowering, however it may be a little strong for some people. One thing to note is that the scent does stay strong for a good few hours, which I find is a big plus for this perfume, as you can guarantee it will stay on throughout your average day, or even throughout the night if you wish to wear it then. One problem I have found with this was the shape of the bottle. It is difficult to describe, but as you can see in the image it is not your typical perfume bottle, and this can make it difficult if you spritz on your perfume in a rush, as it just does not fit into your palms as easily as a symmetrical bottle may. I know it is not completely a big deal, but it is worth taking into account to meet your needs best! Overall, I am extremely happy with this scent, and no doubt I will be wearing it full force throughout the summer to help me smell gorgeous and fresh. The best thing is, is that it just smells like an excellent quality product - even as good as some of my more premium perfumes, and it only cost £12.00! You can't really ask for much more than this, so it is worth trying out a tester if you pop into a Next store any time soon. Thanks for reading and hope this helped!
Next Fragrance, Paradise What is it? ******** A fragrance by Next. Special features? ************* This particular fragrance has been designed for women. It is described as a light fruity fragrance with white florals and green notes. This version is the eau de toilette. What do I think? ************* I quite like this fragrance. My first impressions of it from the tester was a very fresh floral smell, very uplifting and reminded me of being on holiday. It has some kind of an exotic smell, I think this is the main reason why it is called 'Paradise' - almost making you feel as if you've brought it back from the Carribbean's or somewhere similar. It's a shame it doesn't state what the fragrance actually contains, as I am very interested to know. I would say the fragrance is a 'medium' in terms of 'heaviness'. It's appears quite light at first, but after a while the scent does linger and settle and it's not really something I would use on the second day as I felt I had had enough after one day of wearing it. The fragrance does also remind me of lilies, so I am also guessing that it contains something that imitates this and also with a picture of a lily on the box, this is probably a big clue (!). I'm not actually so keen on the fruity side of it, I'm guessing that this is needed to make the fragrance 'lighter' - although it feels a bit like mango and oranges, this is again, supposed to contribute towards the 'exotic' side of it. The fragrance was only £6 from Next for a 30ml bottle. It's a bit of an awkward shape, a kind of triangular shaped bottle and so it isn't really the most easiest thing to hold and spray at the same time. It's nice but only on cooler days and for one day only. Thanks for reading. ©Leighsa 2010.
