Advantages: It won't be mistaken for aftershave.

Disadvantages: Like Gaultier perfume, you won't want to open the packaging!

Signature scents are like buses - you wait ages for one and two roll up together. Having discovered Green Tea (Elizabeth Arden) and loving it for not being a sickly, girly scent, I thought I was set on 'my' perfume. I'm one of those people who finds a good brand and sticks with it.
This is where it gets tricky. On a shopping expedition with the compulsory gay best friend, I realised I hadn't spritzed myself before leaving the house, and immediately had that neurotic 'do I smell?' fret that only women get. We hit a well-known department store to remedy the problem. Said department store had no Green Tea, but I found myself eyeing up an interesting looking package, a red apple-shaped bottle with a silver coloured leaf. You know the DKNY perfume? Yeah, well, it looks nothing like that one. It's more effeminate packaging, less industrial-looking. Having very sensitive skin, I'm wary of what I spray myself with, so I did the cursory air spray. It didn't smell noxious, so I sprayed a little on my wrist. Hmm, agreeable enough. The best friend came over and agreed it was rather pretty and smelled pleasing, then drenched me in the stuff (cheers hun!). We wandered round the city centre, my best friend smokes rather too many cigarettes, we passed burger vans and fast food outlets, and the scent held its own beautifully. This is definitely a lasting scent, which immediately gives it value for money. As I type, I've been wearing it for over eight hours now and it smells wonderful still. In addition dear reader, I suffer from migraines, and have found that many sweet-smelling perfumes tend to trigger the migraines, this one appears to be an exception.
What I hadn't realised is that this fragrance was first retailed in 1987, which reflects how popular and lasting it is.
The other half is under orders to buy it for me for Christmas, but hey, I've just found Green Tea online for £10, a girl can dabble occasionally.....

Summary: It's loooooooooooveeeeely. A Green Tea for special occasions or nights out.
