Nina Ricci EDP
Fluer de Fluers
I remember when my (then) boyfriend brought me back a bottle of Nina Ricci Parfum from a business trip abroad. I was wearing Fiji most of the time and had commented that I liked floral fragrances whilst we were chatting, so he bought me back a big duty free bottle of the most floral fragrance he could find.
These days as far as perfumes are concerned I am what Martin Lewis would call a "tart" I have no loyalty to one brand or one fragrance, I know what I like and I go for it. I have over the years been given lots of different perfumes that I would not have bought myself, some I have grown to love, others still lay in the bottom a drawer, because the bottles are so beautiful I cannot bare to throw them away. Nina Ricci Fluer de Fluers is one of the long standing perfumes that I always have knocking about.
The current bottle I have is one I bought myself just over a year ago and it is a small bottle of parfum that is in a circular bottle with a squashed appearance, so that if you lay it down it is a cross between circular and tear drop shaped. Topped by a gold coloured plastic stopper lid, this bottle of parfum is dispensed via the tip up and onto the finger and spread method. Alternatively, it could be decanted into a spray atomiser. I keep this bottle in my handbag. It is my fall back perfume, if I have forgotten to apply some perfume I can quickly and discreetly put some of this on smell and feel great. The glass bottle is clear and the perfume within is a light amber colour. The glass has a gold coloured flower etched onto one side and it was originally supplied in a pretty flower covered cardboard box outer.
The fragrance as you would expect is floral. For me the top notes are reminiscent of Hyacinth, Lily of the Valley and Rose. The parfum matures to the middle notes that seem to add Iris and Jasmine with a hint of something spicy and herby maybe Rosemary or Freesia to the still present Lily of the Valley and Hyacinth. The final flourish of notes for me are definitely Sandalwood with Ylang Ylang and a hint of muskiness that is not too much. The fragrance is fresh, floral and unashamedly so. It conjures up carefree, happy spring days and summer nights, beautiful summer dresses and sun kissed shoulders.
I love to wear it on days like today when the weather is mean and viscous with wind and rain and cold and generally not nice. Add a little of this too my pulse points I feel instantly uplifted.
I would expect this to be an older person's fragrance having considered the fragrances I am picking up today, however I have worn it regularly since my 20's. I do though intend to wear it into my old age!
The longevity of the fragrance is not great, the initial flush soon settles to the more comprehensive strong floral middle notes that are lovely, the end notes do linger, but are subdued, which is probably why it appeals so well to me, as I don't care so much for the musky fragrances, which is rather odd as I love Miss Dior too! I tend to reapply after about 5 hours.
Price & Availability:
I'm sure I paid under £40.00 for my little bottle that I think is 15 or 20ml and I have just done a search on-line to see it advertised at £88.00. On Amazon there is the EDT as well as the parfum and the parfum is just under £88.00 for 7.5ml. Look out for it when in France it will be cheaper.
Conclusion & Stars:
I recommend Nina Ricci Fluer de Fleurs to anyone that fancies an uncomplicated floral fragrance. It is floral first with hints of green and is alluring and subtle to brighten the dullest British day.
Thank you for reading about my Little pick me up!
Nina Ricci's Ricci Ricci eau de parfum is a perfume I received as part of a gift set for my birthday earlier this year. It came with the matching Ricci Ricci 100ml body lotion. The fragrance was released back in 2009.
~ Price and availablility ~
My Ricci Ricci eau de parfum is 50ml, but it is also available in 30ml and 80ml bottles. I have not seen the 30ml bottle, but I think it will look too small. If I was buying the 30ml bottle I would want to see the size of it out of it's box before buying it.
The 30ml bottle is available for £24.25 at Cheapsmells.com (Recommended Retail Price £31.00)
The 50ml bottle is available at £33.07 at Cheapsmells.com (RRP £41.50)
The 80ml bottle is available at £39.95 at Cheapsmells.com (RRP £55.00)
It is also available at Boots, Amazon.co.uk and most department stores at prices closer to the recommended retail prices.
~ The bottle ~
The bottle is made of chunky glass. It is a rectangular shape, but with very rounded edges and the glass has a pink/ purple tinge making the bottle look quite a dark purple colour.
My 50ml bottle is 5cm tall and 6cm wide, which is quite small, (which is why I think the 30ml bottle will look too small) but the lid does give the bottle extra height on top of this.
There is a rigid, metallic purple coloured bow which wraps itself around the neck of the bottle with two pretty loops - one to the right of the bottle and one on top of the of the bottle which doubles as the lid of the bottle. The end of the ribbon also hangs down the left hand side of the bottle flicking out at the bottom.
I think the bottle is beautiful. The rounded glass gives the bottle a beautiful shape and the ribbon is really pretty on it. The lid, which is one of the ribbon loops, can be removed to reveal the spray button and I think this bottle looks just as good with the lid off as even without the second loop there is still a lot going on with the design.
~ Scent ~
The fragrance offers top notes of rhubarb and bergamot, middle notes of moonflower, Indian tuberose, Centifolia rose and base notes of sandalwood and patchouli.
The fragrance is fruity and floral. Although it is a fresh scent it has a deeper mysterious element. It is described as sophisticated and sensual, which I would agree with. I'd say this is more of a perfume I'd choose to wear in the evenings either for a night out or a cosy night in. I think it smells expensive.
I have found it to be long lasting, still evident hours after application.
I think it would suit more mature women as well as younger women in their 20's, but I can't imagine a teenager would choose this.
~ Overall ~
Overall I think this is a great perfume. It is truly unique, being fruity and sweet and floral and bitter all at the same time. It is a sophisticated scent with a beautifully designed bottle and longevity. I wouldn't buy the 30ml bottle without seeing it first as I think it will be too small to look good on my dressing table, but otherwise I would definitely buy this perfume again if I used mine up. I would recommend this perfume for yourself or as a gift for a friend or partner.
I bought this fragrance from Nina Ricci at boots for the price of 29.99, and was very surprised to find that such an affordable perfume could smell so very nice and look so elegant and luxurious! This Eau de Perfume comes in a very original, elegant and pertty bottle, which makes this fragrance very ideal for a gift for either your best friend, your girlfriend, mother, aunt and so on! The deep purple color makes this bottle look very elegant and feminine, and I still cannot believe that I was able to get this very nice looking and lovely smelling perfume for such a low cost!
On my skin, this fragrance last for about 7-8 hours before I need to add more, which I find to be a very good lasting power. This is without doubt a very feminine, classic scent, and I do believe more mature women would appreciate this just as much as younger women! These are the scents I have been able to detect in this fragrance:
Sandalwood, Bergamont, Rhubarb, rose and moonflower.
This is a very nice smelling fragrance for a reasonable cost, therefore I have no hesitation in recommending this perfume from Nina Ricci, as it also comes in a lovely looking bottle!
Five out of five points
Nina Ricci founded her company in 1952 and since her death, it has been took over by her son. Nina Ricci is a fashion and accessories brand which has since expanded to include various fragrances.
Ricci Ricci is a fairly recently released fragrance from Nina Ricci. It is available in an Eau de Parfum with matching body lotion and shower gel. Nina Ricci has also released an alternative, sensual version of the original known as Dancing Ribbon.
Ricci Ricci is a "Parisian" style scent which claims to be feminine and designed for "optimistic and self confident" women. It falls into the "fresh and floral" fragrance category.
The bottle design for Ricci Ricci is certainly eye catching. The rounded glass is tinted with various shades of pink and offers a faceted appearance. The true beauty lies within the carefully yet beautifully designed glass effect bow which ties around the neck. The bottle is completed with a strong, shiny pink lid which completes the overall design.
Ricci Ricci has been created using various fragrance notes. The notes are blended into sets and become noticeable at various stages on the skin.
*Top notes (the initial, shortlived scent) - rhubarb zest and bergamot
*Heart notes (the main body of the scent) - Indian tuberose, Centifolia rose and Moonflower
*Base notes - sandalwood and patchouli
Ricci Ricci is availabe in 30ml, 50ml and 80ml sized bottles on the highstreet and online :

*www.fragrancedirect.co.uk : £26.50 - £46.99 (gift set including 50ml EDP, 100ml shower gel and 100ml body lotion also available for £33.99)
*Boots : £31.00 - £55.00
I try not to buy any perfume in the run up to Christmas as stores such as Boots and House of Fraser often reduce the gift sets on boxing day! Armed with some Christmas money from my fiance, I headed to the boxing day sales with my Mum and planned on purchasing the Nina Ricci Nina gift set (the one in the apple shaped bottle). I had a little sniff around the testers in House of Fraser and decided I wanted the Ricci Ricci EDP but there were no gift sets left with this perfume so I opted for a 30ml bottle and believe I paid around £20.00 in the sale.
I love the bottle! It is just stunning and one of my favourites. It is of a high quality but very fragile so not one for throwing in my handbag. That being said, I never need to take this one out with me. I sits pretty on my dressing table and looks simply stunning. Ricci Ricci is one scent which I keep for evening use. Whilst I have many day time perfumes, I feel this one is more suited for me wearing if I go out for dinner or with friends in the evening.
When I wear Ricci Ricci, I spray a small amount on my wrist, my neck and sort of spray it lightly into the air for me to walk through..just to get a light spritz of it on my hair and clothes! The scent sprays out in an even mist which dries quickly on my skin and from the first spray, I fell in love with this amazing scent.
The top notes offer quite a heavy but engaging scent. This is the first scent I have worn that offers rhubarb as a scent note but it is carried off in style in Ricci Ricci. The rhubarb offers a delicate sweetness which is complimented by a surge of bitterness. Bergamot was certainly a good choice to blend with the rhubarb as it lightened the top notes to avoid them being too sweet. The blend offers the perfect level of scent to be noticeable but not overpower and is fresh yet subtley sensual at the same time. Surprisingly, this gorgeous set of notes remain on my skin for around 1hr 30mins before making way for a heavenly heart.
The heart of Ricci Ricci is by far my favourite ensemble of the scent overall. The freshness of the bergamot dwindles and the sensual feel deepens. The heart of Ricci Ricci is feminine in a sexy, sultry kind of way as opposed to a cute, girly scent and is mature and confident in so many ways. The leading scent is the Moonflower which is one scent notes which I adore. I use the Dreamy Skin products from Johnson which contain Moonflower as the main scent.
The Moonflower is relaxing and favourable. It gives the heart soft. indulgent feel and is of a high quality. The other floral notes tend to linger in the background and sort of lace the Moonflower scent to offer little sensual notions. The heart of Ricci Ricci isn't your typical fresh, floral ensemble but so much more and certainly a bit different to the norm. Whilst the tuberose and rose start to sneak away around 3-4hrs from initial application, the stunning Moonflower offering remains consistent on my skin for a further 4hours.
Whilst patchouli and sandalwood is a pretty standard combination of base notes in many scents, in Ricci Ricci it is complimented by the delicate traces of Moonflower which sit very close to my skin. The base note combination is quite enticing and holds onto the sensual feel of the whole scent. The sandalwood is most appealing as it comes across as being creamy and is lightly sweetened by the Moonflower. The base notes are consistent for around 4hours but after this time, they start to soften and I can still detect a very light trace of sandalwood on my skin the next morning.
As I said before, Ricci Ricci is perfect for wearing in the evenings. If Moonflower hadn't been used as a prominent fragrance note, it could have been a day time scent but its deep, sensual nature makes evening wear a must. I'm 23 and this scent suits me so I would say that anyone from 20 upwards to carry it off.
Do I recommend Ricci Ricci EDP? Without a doubt! I am pleased I opted for this scent as opposed to Nina. The bottle is stunning and the staying power is superb which gives you an idea of the overall quality of the scent. I find Ricci Ricci to be an addictive scent which oozes confidence and when wearing it, I feel special and cannot stop sniffing my wrist! Whilst not overpowering, I have received a few compliments whilst wearing Ricci Ricci which always makes me happy.
Because I have used this for evening use, I have managed to allow the bottle to last me well. I plan on purchasing the gift set come Christmas time as this is truly a gorgeous scent and comes highly recommended from myself! The price is favourable and well worth it in my opinion.
Thanks for reading x
I own and love the Nina perfume, which I have had for a few years now, so a couple of months ago decided to purchase Ricci. It is marketed as an uber feminine fragrance, and I did, of course, make the most of the tester perfume in Boots prior to settling on perfume. I like to make sure that my new perfume will not only please my nostrils, but is one that has impressive staying power. To me there is little worse than continually having to reapply a perfume during the day, especially one with a price tag like this. Having said that, one of the reasons I do like some of the more expensive fragrances is because they tend to have increased staying power.
Like other perfumes from this brand, the Ricci bottle is sleek and vintage-inspired. The unusual shape makes it stand out on my shelf, and the deep pink is almost hypnotic. I believe the bottle is a bit misleading in terms of occasion however: it gives the impression that this is a night time perfume, but in fact I think it is far more suited to day. This is partly because of the subtlety of the fragrance.
TOP NOTES: Rhubarb zest, bergamont
MIDDLE/HEART NOTES: Moonflower, Indian tuberose, Centifolia rose
BASE NOTES: Sandalwood, patchouli
To me the warm, fruity bergamont is very noticeable in the blend top begin with. The various roses lend freshness, and the final phase the perfume settles into about fifteen minutes after application is the feisty sandalwood one.
Ricci is very special in that it manages to achieve a feminine fragrance that combines the traditional floral and the substance of a much more traditional fragrance. In fact, it does remind me somewhat of a well-loved perfume that has been around for years and is instantly recognisable even though you may not be able to immediately recall its name.
I usually apply perfume to the neck, which means I am able to closely monitor the staying power of my perfume throughout the day. Even though I had tested Ricci, I was a little disappointed when I began using my own bottle to discover that it did not quite possess the staying power I had thought it did. I found that when I was at home I had to top up with an extra quirt half way through the day. While Ricci is a lovely fragrance and is considerably more floral and fresh than some of the other perfumes I own, I do not like it enough just yet to consider purchasing a travel sized version that I can keep in my bag to top up when out and about. For now I enjoy it on the odd occasion, but for the price I paid I would have liked it to have a bit more of an oomph.
I was hesitant to try this perfume at first because the bottle design seemed to give off the impression that maybe the scent would be sweet, however I received it as a gift from Christmas and loved it as soon as I first sprayed the air as you do with any new bottle of perfume. It's the best perfume I've ever had which surprised me because up until then my best was a five pound bottle from a market stall years ago called gold! I don't wear the perfume everyday as I want to savour the scent, I feel if I wear it everyday I'll get far too used to the smell and eventually become de-sensitized to it. Instead I adopt a 'when I remember to wear it, I'll wear it' approach. I'm guaranteed each time I wear it though my boyfriend will always comment an say 'ooh you smell nice,' and I'll roll my eyes and say yeah I'm wearing Nina Ricci again! I recommend this product to any female, because it's honestly the most beautiful smelling fragrance in the world!
I absolutely adore Ricci Ricci, my boyfriend bought me this for my Birthday and I'm in love. I'm already on my second bottle! It has a lovely feminine fragrance that's not too over-powering and receives LOTS of compliments from both men and women. The bottle is also gorgeous and looks lovely on your dressing table, with a pink opaque glass base and cute bow detailing it is very chic and expensive looking. I would recommend the perfume for a teen or "young at heart" lady... my mum steals mine, hehe. Not overly cheap or expensive I would say Ricci Ricci offers excellent value for money, with a long lasting scent that doesn't fade quickly like some cheaper brands. In conclusion, it's a very pretty, girly perfume and gets a 10/10 from me. P.S. For any men out there, this would make a great Valentine's gift for the lady in your life. (:
i have used nina riccis perfumes before and hinted for weeks for my husband to get it for my xmas and i wasnt dissapointed the bottle is soo cute and elagant matches the perfume to a t the perfume is a lovely smell that doesnt overpower you great for everyone from a teen to a granny i will buy this product again
One of my presents this christmas was this beautiful elegant bottle of Nina Ricc - Ricci, Eau de Parfum, this retails from around £32 - £39 depending on where you buy it from and is available online and in perfume shops and some chemists.
I was really happy to get this for christmas as I collect perfume bottles and this one is so rich and elegant in presentation that you automatically fall in love with the rich deep ruby colour of the bottle and the ribbon design on the top. It's so girlie and unique that it has a place in my collection of perfume bottles on my dressing table.
Nina Ricci has been making perfume in France since the 1940's and is famous for her perfumes all over the world she also works with fabrics to create beautiful gowns and other fashion items and is well established in the fashion industry. She has used her creative artistry to create this beautiful designed bottle.
This came in a lovely pink box which has the name of the parfum in red on the front and is a 30ml bottle of spray eau de parfum.
The ingredients are plainly shown on the back of the box in case you have any allergies to anything in the eau de parfum.
You can also buy 50ml at around £43 and 80ml bottles at around £58 but a 30ml bottle will last you a long time as you don't really need a lot during the day or night as the scent lingers on your skin for hours after using it.
The parfume itself is a rich flowery scent subtle but long lasting. The top tones are Rhubarb and Bergamot
which give it a nice fresh tone combined with the middle tones of Beauty of the Night and Rose Centifolia to give it a strong flowery scent, then the undertones of Patchouli Fraction and Sandalwood give it the rich deep scent that lingers ont he skin for hours.
I like the bottle and the brand and the eau de parfume, for me this is a great product and makes the best present a woman can get. It shows thought and care from the person who's buying it as the design and elegance of this eau de parfum is nice to recieve.
I will be buying this again when it runs out as I like the scent and will give it 8 out of 10 for originality, staying power and unique design.
At first I did not really take to this fragrance and wondered if I had wasted £30 on a 30ml bottle however after a couple of uses it really started to appeal to me and my opinion was totally reversed whioch is not the norm when it comes to fragrances and me, I either like or dislike them. Initially I guess I was suckered by the name and the packaging, the bottle is a very attractive pinky purple colour, the bottle has very smooth design lines and is topped off with a bow.
When you first apply the initial scent you get is rather fruity and this was what I originally did not like as it is rather sharp and non descript however once it settles down it becomes a more floral scent (Rose, Mirabilis and Indian Tuberose and sandalwood) which is very exotoc smelling with some nice blended smells comming through, sort of like being in a rose garden but with a little something extra added in for good measure, a sort of spicey side kick to the main fragrance. This is quite a distinctive scent and I have not come across anything similar to it which is always a good thing to have something similar.
For me this is a scent that works well either as a day scent or for evening wear, it is quite a sophisticated scent and one that lasts a long time hence it is suitable for day wear. I find that it lasts for a good eight hours which is not bad for a scent in this price range.
I have had a few compliments when wearing this scent so I'm glad I stuck with it and did not consign it to the back of my dressing table after a couple of uses. Certainly it is now a scent that I would recommend giving a try.
I havent written any perfume reviews in ages and with Christmas coming up that means a whole new batch of perfumes for me - hopefully anyway - and that means I have to try and write about my current collection first. Starting with the most recent addition to my collection 'Nina Ricci:Ricci EDP' which I bought about a month ago and being honest it was a decision based solely on sight alone. I had never tried a Nina Ricci perfume before or heard much about them to be honest so when I bought this I had no idea what it would be like or whether it would smell nice at all. Im very happy to report in this case I did not waste my money and Ive been wearing this ever since, in fact Ive bought 2 more NR perfumes simply because this one was so nice!
Price: 30ml bottle - £29 50ml bottle - £39
Stockists: The Perfume Shop, Bodycare, Boots, Superdrug ETC - VERY widely available.
I think the bottle for this perfume is simply gorgeous and actually the main reason I bought this perfume. The bottle is a deep purple and pink colour which is very eye-catching and certainly looks very dark and dramatic - which for such a feminine design is a nice and very different touch. The bottle is made from very sturdy, transparent glass which means it wont get knocked over easily and wont break or leak if you are carrying this around in your handbag. The bow around the top of the bottle is simply stunning and makes this even more feminine and it has to be one of the prettiest, girliest perfume bottles I own - it definitely stands out from the rest of my perfume collection - and when you own as many as I do that is a serious achievement.
As I always say when Im writing perfume reviews I am not great when it comes to describing what notes are in a perfume so I did a little digging around the net and found the main notes in this fragrance are: Sandalwood, Rhubarb, Patchouli, Rose, Bergamot & Moonflower. And if your anything like me that wont mean a thing so Ill try and describe the scent as a whole as best I can.
The rhubarb is definitely the strongest scent out of the bunch and it certainly the most noticable straight away. I simply adore the scent of rhubarb so that made me love this perfume immediately and it surprised me that this perfume was more fruity than floral as I was not expecting that at all. The other smells do start to come through as the scent dies down - the patchouli, bergamot & rose start to become more powerful but that doesnt mean that this smells like an essential oil burner at all. Those scents just help to add something different to the fruity tones and help to make this a darker, heavier scent which means it is perfect for the night time. Not what I expected at all - I assumed this would be a very light, floral day scent but it is actually the total opposite.
Staying Power: This has amazing staying power in my opinion. I sprayed a few squirts of this on my wrists before work this morning at 9 and it is still very much there now - I dont feel I have to spray anymore because the scent is still as strong as ever which I reckon is brilliant.
Recommendations: I definitely recommend this perfume for night wear more so than any other time as for me it would be too heavy to wear in the day if I was just going shopping or something - I had a long day at work today thats why I applied this first thing!
I would also recommend this to 20s and over. I think the older generation of women will appreciate this more than teens as I think most younger girls would like something a little lighter and fresher. Check it out though as different scents smell different on each person.
I would highly recommend this perfume to women of most ages because if your looking for something a bit darker and sexier for the evening this just might be it. Im glad I took a chance of this scent and its one that I will be wearing for as long as possible - go out and buy a bottle now!
Thanks For Reading.

I have always really liked Nina Ricci perfumes, my favourite being Nina, her fragrance that comes in an apple shaped bottle. Somehow the release of new Nina Ricci scent 'Ricci Ricci' in 2009 completely passed me by. Unlike Nina which was heavily advertised, I can't remember seeing any adverts or promotions for this one.
I actually first came across it on a perfume display in Debenhams, and it was the unusual bow design on the top of the bottle that grabbed my attention. It comes in a gorgeous purple-pink coloured bottle which is wrapped in a metallic bow of the same colour. It's really unusual and pretty, and takes pride of place on my dressing table. There is a bit of a running joke about me and bows - virtually anything with a bow on it I will buy! As I write, I am wearing a jumper with a bow, I have my hair tied back with a sequin bow, and later when I go out I will no doubt put on my bow necklace, one of my many pairs of bow adorned shoes and my take my bow handbag. Yes, I know, bow overload, and even if I didn't like the scent of this, no doubt I'd have bought it anyway, just for the bow on top!
Luckily, like the majority of other Nina Ricci fragrances, I really loved the scent of this. The top notes (the scent you can smell when first sprayed), unusually are said to be rhubarb and bergamot. I've never heard of rhubarb being used in a perfume before, and to be honest when initially sprayed, although this does smell fruity to me, I can't really detect rhubarb in there. I think I would say it smells a little bit like grapefruit - it's quite a sharp and zesty scent with a warmer undertone that reminds me of berries! I'm no perfume expert but that's definitely what comes across to me personally and whilst being sharp, it's not too strong or overpowering.
When the scent has been on the skin for a while the middle (or heart) notes start to come out. These are Rose Centifolia, Indian Tuberose and Beauty of the Night, which is a flower also known as Mirabilis. To me, it's when the scent has settled and these notes have started to come out that the fragrance really comes into its own. The scent is floral and you can smell a hint of rose in there, but it's got an exotic and unusual fruity kick to it. It's unusual, yet warming and quite sensual.
The base notes are Patchouli Fraction and Sandalwood. These take quite a while to come through because the scent has good staying power, but when they do, it's only really the sandalwood I can smell, with perhaps a very slightly sharper tone that could come from the patchouli. I am not a fan of patchouli, yet it is pretty much unrecognisable in this scent, so if you're also not keen on it, I wouldn't let its inclusion put you off.
The Nina Ricci website describes this scent as 'floral, glamorous and feminine' and I think they've hit the nail on the head. I think the strength of the fragrance is a perfect balance. It's light enough for daytime wear, yet strong enough for night time without being overpowering in the least.
I must admit, although I have occasionally worn this during the day for work, I think it's more of a 'special' fragrance that I tend to save for dates or nights out. It's got a warmth to it which makes it quite sensual. I actually think it's quite a glamorous fragrance , and I'd say it's ageless. I'm 26 and love it, but I can imagine my younger sisters and my mum also loving it.
The staying power is impressive too, I'd say I normally get around 6 hours fragrance from it, and I don't often feel the need to top up the scent. If you're someone who likes to layer your scent with matching products, then you can also buy a shower gel and body lotion in the same fragrance. I must say though, after having a good experience with a previous Nina Ricci Body Lotion I bought this alongside the matching body lotion, but I have been disappointed with it...although that's another review!
As with all fragrances, you will find that prices vary depending on where you shop. Currently the prices on the Boots website show:
30ml - £29.00
50ml - £39.00
80ml - £52.00
If you're looking to buy a Christmas gift there is also a gift set with a shower gel, body lotion and 50ml perfume for £39.00.
To conclude, the only thing I can say is that I thoroughly recommend this scent. It's feminine and sophisticated, unusual and sensual - a really girly scent that I think would appeal to a wide age range. Obviously fragrance is quite a personal thing, but if you're passing through a perfume department I think it's well worth trying a tester of this one!
Nina Ricci, Ricci, Eau de Parfum is a fragrance that comes in a bottle to die for, that purple glass bottle with a bow really what drew me to buying the fragrance, daft as I was not even thinking what scent that could hide in the bottle, other than really believing it to be a delicious one! I found this fragrance fresh and fruity, very light and not too demanding on your nostrils, and in my opinion you can wear the perfume whether it`s going to work or heading out on a blind date...
What I found really original and different about this fragrance, is the clear and sentral scent of rhubarb, which I never have noticed in a fragrance before... I didn`t really think that the smell of rhubarb would be something that I`d usually enjoy, but fact would have it that the scent of it is really fresh and lovely, standing out from a crowd! When the smell of rhubarb is detected and rests for a bit on your skin, the smell of bergamot and sandalwood comes into notice, nicely complementing the rhubarb, giving the fragrance a feeling of autumn and forest, which I very much enjoy! This is a fragrance of flower, forest and nature, and all though the bottle looks very fancy and classy, the fragrance within it is very funny, fresh and original!
Now, every skin has its own will, but when applying this perfume onto my skin, it stays on there for about 4 hours before needing a new application, so I would bring it with me in my purse... This fragrance comes in bottles of 30, 50 and 80 ml, the largest bottle costing 52.00, while the smallest bottle costs 29-30.99.
This is an feminine, fresh and intruiging scent from Ricci, and both the fragrance and bottle has managed to hypnotize me!
Ricci Ricci by Nina Ricci is a fragrance for women that was launched in 2009.
With hints of moonflower, indian tuberose and centifolia rose, top notes of rhubarb zest and bergamot, and base notes of patchouli, and sandalwood.
The general scent is very much floral, and marketed as being a glamorous fragrance.
I have found that the scent is very much any-time usage, as it makes a very nice day time fragrance or it can set off an evening outfit. Unlike many other floral fragrances on the market, this one is very subtle and makes an excellent scent that would be suitable for work or school.
An unusual component of this perfume is the rhubarb, which isn't particularly commonly seen. It makes a refreshing change and results in many inquiries as to the make-up of this perfume.
Previous Nina Ricci perfumes have been aimed at the 18-25 market so the name is known as a scent for the younger woman. This one however is listed on the Nina Ricci website to be focused at a wider range - 20-40. I think you can be younger or older to enjoy this and would suit anyone.
The price I have found to be very reasonable, with 30ml, 50ml and 80ml bottles that are priced approximately £29, £39 and £51 respectively. I have seen them cheaper in shops and online without too much effort, and I found purchasing mine from debenhams and getting loyalty points to be a good option if you are a regular perfume purchaser.
One 30ml bottle has lasted me the best part of 6months with near everyday usage, as one squirt is plenty and it goes a long way.
I would recommend this perfume as an all round good value, any time perfume, that has an unusual scent and is sure to get many compliments.
Created by master perfumers Guichard & Huclier, Ricci Ricci is a perfect scent for women of any age, but a younger generation in particular. It is a sparkling fruity floral fragrance with epicure aspects. The perfume is acknowledged for its notes, having been around for a number of years but the innovative composition of Ricci Ricci, steers well away from simplicity and offers nothing but the best in its class.
Ricci ricci is a fresh and full-bodied floral with a specific focus upon the beauty of the night flower. The perfume opens with top notes that feature hints of rhubarb, introducing a contemporary and fresh quality to the fragrance. The heart is dominated around the rose Centifolia and Indian tuberose, and is heightened further with the beauty of the night, a rare and enigmatic blossom that creates scent that is floral, glamorous and feminine. Voluptuous and graceful, at the base of the perfume lies notes that are warm and have depth, with rich notes of Patchouli fraction and Sandalwood, as featured in Flora by Gucci. The perfume can be worn with ease and is tremendously feminine. It is certainly aimed at a woman of optimism and poise.
I adore this bottle. It's sublimated with a lively ribbon resembling the sheer elegance of a contemporary monument. Nina's association with Couture has stimulated the creation of this remarkable design. The fragrance's rich cerise colour embodies a sense of confidence and femininity, much like the Ricci Ricci heroine as featured in promotional material.
This perfume is a thing of beauty, which is more that can be said for a lot of the newest additions available at present. It has an unusual, timeless quality that will probably be as popular today as it will be in 30 years time. The fragrance is delicate but has real character. I highly recommend this purchase for just about anyone, the fragrance is mischievous, classic and has sophistication. The perfume is available for purchase in Eau de Parfum spray 80ml/50ml/30ml.
