Following up on my review on Gillette shaving gel for sensitive skin, I thought that it would be a good idea to review the second stage in my shave which helps to reduce irritation, Nivea shaving balm for men with sensitive skin.

I found it very hard when going from a dry shave to a wet shave to stop skin irritation and tried many different combinations of gels, creams and aftershaves, before settling on my chosen two of the aforementioned products.

Since using these two products I have never had any bad irritation after shaving, and I believe it is down to these two, both for sensitive skin which helps this.

The product itself is very easy to use, you simply put some in your hand and rub it into your face. It is very refreshing after shaving and you can feel it soothing as you put it on. It is quite runny though so you have to be careful not to pour out too much. It also has quite a pleasant smell, my partner regularly asks what aftershave I have on, when all I have is this balm and deoderant.

I believe that it is also a useful stage for those who dont have sensitive skin, yet find putting aftershave on immediatly after a shave too painful. This almost gives a costing to your face and prevents the stinging that you would normally get.

It is also quite reasonably priced at somewhere between £3-4.50 depending on what offers are on and will last a long time.

Overall i would defiantly reccommend this for people who suffer from skin irritation after shaving, or those who find putting aftershave on quite painful.
