Advantages: lasts a long time, nice bottle, strong if you like that type

Disadvantages: wasn't for me

Ok, here goes with my opinon on Obsession. When I was younger and my mother wouldn't buy me expense perfumes, I had a Mystic Impressions or something like that, of CK Obsession. I wore it all the time and couldn't wait for the day when I could have an actual bottle of the real thing. Well that day came this year when I finally bought myself some. Luckily I just bought a mini of it for only 10 bucks. Because it turns out that I don't actually like it that much. It is too heavy, too.. something to my nose. Maybe it's the musk, too much for me. I'm not saying it's a terrible fragrance, but I just was not pleased with it and don't think I would wear it on many occasions at all. It's too "in your face" and just flat out strong smelling for my tastes. I like several different types of perfume, from light florals to deeper sensual smells. Maybe it is just my chemistry, but.. I think the cheaper impressions of this are softer and nicer to the nose. They round themselves out better. Maybe I would need to wear it a bit more, but I think the results would be the same. It makes me think of cats in heat.. (like a raw sexual smell, but that can be a good or bad thing, depends on the person's tastes) I see why it would be an erotic fragrance for some, maybe you can wear it well. But if your olfactory glands are similar to mine, pass on this or at least try the Sheer version. Which I haven't smelled, but I assume it is much lighter. :-)

Hiya and a belated welcome to DooYoo!

The way you described this perfume and what you actually prefer, I think you'd really like Allure by Chanel, try some out in a department store! It's like a sweeter, less musky version of Obsession.

Let me know if you try it... ditto what calypte said too... read, rate and comment on some ops as well as writing, you'll probably get more reads and it will help develop your writing style.

If you need a hand, then give me a shout.

Sorry for the rating - I understand what you're trying to say, but you've mentioned that you like florals to sensual smells - without telling us what this perfume actually is on that kind of level. Don't forget that you can update opinions, and then ask people to come back for another look and rerate - although it's better to get it right first go, obviously!

Oh, and a very warm wecome to Dooyoo. Please don't be discouraged at all. Have a look round the site, read loads, and keep writing :)

PS love the name!
