Advantages: Pretty, feminine, subtle

Disadvantages: None for me.

'So De La Renta', by Oscar de La Renta, has been one of my favourite perfumes for some years now. I first I bought this after trying out many testers in the duty free at Gatwick Airport, while waiting for a delayed flight. This perfume was introduced to the market in 1997, and this would have been around the time that I first bought it. I now, always have a bottle of this to wear, as it's so lovely and versatile.

I bought this solely based on it's highly feminine and very pretty aroma, although the packaging too is extremely appealing. It comes in a pink box with gold lettering and I think looks very tasteful.
The glass bottle also is of a particularly attractive design, widening and then tapering in at the top, finishing with a gold band. The lid is a glass effect crystal type of design. It will adorn a dressing table nicely and the packaging as a whole should make a most welcome gift to any perfume wearing female.

I consider this fragrance to be suited to any lady who likes to wear a fragrance, from the young to the more mature woman.

Although I have a good sense of smell, I don't pretend to be an expert on identifying the ingredients used in perfumes. I would say that this is definitely a flowery type of smell but also a trifle fruity. I believe that the perfume is made up from woods, gardenia, magnolia, clementine, kiwi, freesia, mango and even more! I think I can identify gardenia and freesia but would really describe it as a fresh flowery scent which is unusual and subtle.

AS this isn't too intense, I feel it is best suited as a daytime perfume but I have often worn this in the evening as, I think it really does lend itself well to any occasion, whatever time of day.

I have found with this particular scent, available in perfume or Eau de toilette spray, that prices vary quite a lot. I think with this one the better bargains are to be found on-line. It is available from Amazon.co.uk and many other on-line perfume stockists. I think you should expect to pay under twenty pounds for the small (approx 30) EDT bottle and around thirty pounds for the larger (100ml)EDT container. It is worth shopping around. This can also be purchased in some attractive gift sets.

Summary: A lovely fragrance to suit all perfume wearing women
