My favourite scent. Makes me feel like a woman.

Some girls are all about the shoes, some can't have enough handbags...me? I love perfume! I tend to like light florals and citrus scents the best. Though on occasion a nice spicy, woody scent catches my attention, particularly over winter. But Pacifica's Tahitian Gardenia is definitely the former.

While holidaying in Ulverston last year I wandered into the World Peace Cafe. They sold a whole range of Pacifica goodies. I spent a good 45 minutes smelling and testing their products. Having never heard of the range before I was really impressed with the luxurious, rich scents that their products emit. Knowing now that they adhere to a strict code which means they are environmentally aware is a plus, but if I'm honest it's not what enticed me to buy this product. This was one of the last products I picked up before my partner dragged me reluctantly from the cafe. I sprayed it on my wrist and fell in love instantly. The hefty price tag of £22 for 30ml of an unknown brand of perfume initially put me off, and I left the cafe without it.
As silly as it sounds I spent the rest of the day smelling my wrist. This scent just works for me. It makes me feel sexy and fun. I went back to buy this the next day, and am so thankful that I did.

You may be forgiven for thinking that this perfume smells mostly floral, and perhaps for most it does, but on my skin the first notes are citrus. There's definitely a scent of lime, and maybe a little orange. You don't need a lot of this perfume, it's really quite strong. As the day goes on the fragrance mellows a little and becomes powdery and very sweet, but not overly so. This is when I get a whiff of a more floral scent. Obviously the main note is that of gardenia (or tiare flower) The perfume lasts quite well on my skin - about five or six hours.

This has become my favourite fragrance, and not one I would be without. It's quite quirky and gets me a lot of compliments (that's why we ladies wear perfume, right?) I love it for everyday wear and wear it most days. It is great value for money, considering how strong the scent is, and it's staying power.

The only disadvantage of this perfume is that it's not widely available. I have never been able to find it on the High St. I need to order it online, which means I need to take note when I'm running low and order it in advance.
