Paul's Boutique AM to PM Set
Advantages: presentation, atomiser, nice scents, price
Disadvantages: perfumes do not last long, not very special scents
~AM/PM Gift Set~
This gorgeous gift set is part of the Paul's Boutique range. It includes a Limited Edition, pink atomiser which can be attatched to your handbag. Also included is 3 x 10ml bottles of eau de toilette.
*AM - designed for daytime use, this scent is a blend of floral and fruity notes.
*PM - this evening scent is a blend of fruity notes with amber and musk.
*24/7 - an all occasions scent designed to take you from daytime to evening.
This set is also known as the 24/7 Gift Set.
This set is presented in a pink and black box with gold writing which opens up like a book. Inside, there are two satin sections - one side with the atomiser and the other side secures the little bottles of perfume.
The atomiser is a hot pink colour and has the Paul's Boutique name on it. It is made from durable metal and looks sleek but is bigger than your average atomiser. The key chain is fairly long and secured well. The actual perfume bottles are large vials and do not have lids as they are designed to be held within the atomiser. The atomiser lid pops off and neck screws off to allow the perfume bottle to be inserted. I find the packaging to be attractive and pleasing to the eye. It definitely makes a lovely gift.

I was delighted to receive this gift set from my best friend for my birthday last month. Whilst I'm not crazy on the Paul's Boutique bags (though I do like the purses), I love trying new perfumes. This little set is the perfect way to sample the different perfumes that Paul's Boutique offer and it is so beautifully presented too! The atomiser is very portable and I'm not ashamed to display it in public as well, I love the colour pink! Those who prefer a more understated look may wish to opt for the gold atomiser set.
I tend to keep my little bottles in the box when not in use as they are small and I would be scared to break them. Each bottle has the gold Paul's Boutique name on it and they are slip very easily into the atomiser. The holder provides a safe container for the bottle and I have had no issues with loosening. I am unable to attatch this to the outside of my main handbag because of the design of my bag but do find it easy to attatch to the zip compartment inside. It is so bright that I can find it within the my handbag very easily!
I had wondered at first how I would store the little bottles when out and about if I wanted to use them as part of a daytime/in between/evening time like set but decided that I would only take one bottle out at a time. I like to wear these perfumes at anytime so usually switch the bottles around to suit my mood. Each perfume blasts out from the holder in a fine mist and very little is needed for excellent skin coverage.
~Day To Night~
AM is actually quite a strong scent when first applied and much heavier than you would expect for a scent promoted as being a daytime fragrance. It is lovely though especially when it settles down. I wouldn't say that it is a highly unique scent but neither are PM or 24/7 if I am being honest. It is a pleasant aroma though - quite warm and slightly sweet on my skin. I can't say that I can pick up on any specific notes but it is more fruity and floral. It fades quite quickly and after an 90minutes or so, is only a whisper of warm sweetness on my skin.
PM is a gorgeous scent and in a way, I do feel they have mixed up the AM and PM. PM comes across as being quite fresh and light which I would normally say is better suited to daytime use. It is a lovely scent but again, not highly memorable or special smelling. I can pick up on a very delicate and generic fruity note mixed in with the freshness which to me, is like that of bergamot. After a short while on my skin, the scent changes a little to reveal a touch of warm amber and a musky note which isn't overpowering or too mature smelling. PM doesn't last longer than 2 hours on my skin which isn't ideal when you wish to wear it in the evening.
24/7 is described as having fruity top notes, a floral heart and a warm drydown. This is the Paul's Boutique signature scent and is actually really nice. At first my nose is greeted by a strong alcohol aroma which makes me think of a mega cheap perfume. This disappears quickly though and a gorgeous aroma is left on my skin. The scent opens up with a delightful fruitiness which reminds me of sweet berries and hint of zingy citrus. The floral heart is subtle and gracefully executed. It is soft, feminine and light on my skin and although I cannot pick up on individual notes, I would say that a light jasmine is there mixed with other notes. After 2hours or so, the drydown of 24/7 becomes apparent and it smells gorgeous. There is definitely amber present and a touch of sweet vanilla and perhaps some sandalwood. Not original in the slightest but smooth and well done. 24/7 lasts the longest of all three scents on my skin and is still noticeable after 4 hours.
This is a lovely set and worth the retail price in my opinion. Each scent is different but not special or particularly long lasting. I find the AM scent to be most suited for evening use and as PM is lighter, it is better suited to being used through the day. I would wear 24/7 anytime of the day so the name of this scent is very fitting. Whilst I would say that Paul's Boutiques products are more marketed to the younger generation, these perfumes are actually quite classy and grown up smelling so are likely to appeal to a wider audience. The addition of the atomiser makes this set a little unique and the quality of the set is really good. I would buy this again when my bottles run out.
Thanks for reading :)
