Advantages: None

Disadvantages: Don't like the scent, doesn't last

I recently just realised that I hadn't reviewed a couple of bottles from my perfume collection, which has ended up hidden amongst other things on my dressing table. Those bottles of scent that I use all the time are always at the front of my dresser, so you can already tell that this was hardly a favourite, the fact that it got hidden away.

I actually got bought this perfume a while ago by my husband, and to be honest, neither him nor me had ever heard of Paul Smith! I think my husband bought it at the time because it was a good deal and he thought it looked quite girly. A 100ml bottle of this Eau de Parfum costs over £20 on the internet, but you need to shop around for deals, even on the highstreet.

There is no doubt that the bottle itself is pretty feminine, as you can see from the picture above, with the bottle made of pink glass, although a bit bland some might say on the design front. However, I don't like things that are too over the top, and prefer elegant fragrance bottles, so the design alone wouldn't put me off this.

This fragrance claims to have top notes of bergamota, clementina, casis and green pepper, along with lily of the valley, green tea and freesia. The base notes are patchouli, noble woods, and vetiver, which altogether should create a fruity feminine fragrance creating an air of boldness, elegance and ecentricity.

When you first put this fragrance onto your skin, I find it is a little on the strong side and quite masculine initially, and my first impressions weren't great. As it settled, I felt a little of the fruitiness started to appear and I started to think I might like this fragrance, however, after it had been on my skin for 10 minutes or so, I really wasn't that impressed with the smell. It certainly did not seem feminine to me and it just wasn't something that I would wear. I certainly couldn't class this fragrance as one for the evening, if you warm to it, it would definitely be a daytime fragrance, however it is just not something I like the smell of when it fully settles on the skin. What makes matters worse is that it is one of the worst fragrances I have for durability. Within an hour of me putting it on, the scent is gone on my skin, which makes it little better than a body spray, but a lot lot pricier.

All in all, the fact that I don't rate the scent and it doesn't last at all are the reasons behind this fragrance bottle getting hidden on my dressing table. I simply don't like it and I don't wear it, much to my husband's disappointment!

Summary: Not my kind of scent, and no durability
