If you have read any of my previous reviews then you will have read that I have quite a collection of perfumes. I tend to wear my lighter perfumes of a day and then the heavier perfumes in my collection of an evening. I have a couple that I think would be that bit too heavy for work and one that I would class in this collection is my ...  Read the complete review

The Product: This is a gorgeous scent by Dior. It has been round for quite a few years now I think I first tried it in about 2004. The scent is strong and quite sweet / floral. On the downside some people might find this scent too 'heady' however I like it because it is long lasting and you can smell it on your self and other people ...  Read the complete review

Dior Poison Eau de Toilette: Dark and Interesting (214 words)

Unlike other Dior fragrances such as 'Ma Cherie' Poison has an alluring quality to it that isn't just in the name. I use this mainly for a night out, a dinner or going to a restaurant. It has a real smoky texture to the fragrance which I love, but know isn't really suitable for day time wear. -= Advantages ...  Read the complete review

My favourite scent is Chanel no5 but Dior's Poison is my second choice because, in my opinion, it is like nothing else in the world of women's fragrances. My bottle is as shown in the Dooyoo picture although I have seen different sized EDT bottles with other types of tops so it may well be that the one shown is the 100ml size ...  Read the complete review

Dior Poison Eau de Toilette: A smell which will be passed down and down and down.. (876 words)

I have always known this fragrance ever since I was a little girl, it really reminds me of my gran because she wore it, my mum used to always wear it too and I even owned this when I was younger! I think its something that will be passed down along us all, because that seems to be how its gone now! Recently, my mum received ...  Read the complete review

1985 pefume- been around for nearly 25 years now so obviously popular, with a lovely, rich, sexy aroma not too powerful. If the looks of the packaging are important to you: the dark purple bottle with a lovely clear bauble type lid looks expensive and opulent inside an emerald green rectangular box. I very much agree with ...  Read the complete review

Dior Poison Eau de Toilette: A perfume that's stood the test of time (255 words)

With so many fragrances emerging onto the market nowadays it's easy for one to be lost amongst the crowd. Dior's Poison is not one of those perfumes. In fact it's popularity has led to other fragrances in the range like tendre poison and the more recently released midnight poison. For years it has stood out as one of the perfume ...  Read the complete review

A very cloying heavy perfume (169 words)
by - written on 23/02/09 (Useful, 91 readings)

This is one of the few perfumes I know of which, rather like Marmite, you either love or you hate. I absolutely hate it! It is such a cloying smell, it almost makes me feel physically sick. And the other thing is that it can smell really nice on one person, but absolutely horrible on me. Other perfumes I have worn, ...  Read the complete review

Dior Poison Eau de Toilette: Poison - give it a try and see what you think (246 words)
by - written on 22/01/09 (Very useful, 71 readings)

The reviews on this sight seem to fall in two opposing camps. You either love it or hate it. This propably shows how distinctive the fragrance is. If something was insipid then people would find boring ordinary things to say about it, but this has such diametric opinions that it really must be soemthing different. I ...  Read the complete review

Some fragrances are eternal and in 1985 Edouard Fletchier created `Poison` for the House of Dior, a potent, powerful and confident perfume that exudes sex appeal. A Poison Eau De Toilette Spray would be top of my Christmas wishlist. The unmistakable fragrance is heady and magical and it has an aroma that is ...  Read the complete review

Dior Poison Eau de Toilette: very strong scent (318 words)
by - written on 11/10/08 (Very useful, 107 readings)
Rating:

A friend got me a set of mini perfumes for Christmas and this Dior Poison was one of them. I love my fragrances light and breezy and never really go for heavy scents as it tends to smell too overpowering and causes my head to ache. So anyway, I thought I'd put some of this perfume on my wrist and wear it for a few hours, so I ...  Read the complete review

Express Review on Dior Poison Eau de Toilette
by - written on 11/10/08
Rating:

Christian Dior Poison is to this day my favourite perfume. My wife has used it for many years and the fragrance never fails to please me. The suttle hint of blackberry comes through and without being overpowering it is a delight to both wearer and those who are close by! A timeless classic that will be hard to beat.

Dior Poison Eau de Toilette: evil in a pretty bottle...poison (323 words)

Christian Dior Poison is an interesting scent because it always seems to evoke a strong reaction when its name is mentioned. its a real love it or hate it fragrance and I fall into the hate it category. The perfume has been around since the eighties which is testament to its appeal to the masses but i cant for the life of me comprehend ...  Read the complete review

an overcomplicated smell (156 words)

Poison now i would say that it is for maybe an older audience because maybe they can handle the smell of a whole garden. Many of us may remember our nans or grans wearing it and reeking the whole house out which trust me that is possible to do if you start spraying yourself overly. However with just a little spray it can be quite nice ...  Read the complete review

Dior Poison Eau de Toilette: Christian Dior. Poison. (186 words)
by - written on 07/08/08 (Very useful, 62 readings)
Rating:

Poison is aptly named. The perfume is strong and rich but has a very unpleasant habit of lingering on clothes and furnishings and turning stale. It is suitable for some wearers, particularly if they are isolated in the middle of a playing field, but a definite no-no for others because it really leaves no room for any other senses to ...  Read the complete review

Dior Poison Eau de Toilette: what a sweet smell (127 words)

Yes a perfume i smelt first in the eighties, but like most things they have a revival. I find this perfume has a lovely aroma without being to powerful. It is still quite expensive but it does last awhile so no need to spray throughout the day. My husband bought me a first bottle of 30ml and it cost around £8.00. I bought ...  Read the complete review

I cannot counsel you against this stuff enough. I tried "Poison" when I was in the duty free shop in Paris airport a couple of years ago, and I made the silly mistake of spraying it on myself to test it. Sitting on a flight back to the UK was an absolutely awful experience, sitting amongst various poshly ...  Read the complete review

Poison must have been one of the worst ever perfumes created that seemed to be worn by every woman (bar me!!) in the 80's! I have nastaligic memories of this perfume, as a mate of mine practically bathed in the stuff prior to going out, you could smell her half a mile down the road! I do associate this over powering, too ...  Read the complete review
