Ralph Lauren Blue was launched in 2004 and is a subtle yet sensual blend of lotus flower, gardenia and pink peony, exotic blossoms such as tuberose, rose de mai, and orange flower enriched with musk, ambrette, and sandalwood.
My first reaction to this scent was that it smelt especially floral but not in an antiquated way, the scent was a seductive, woody yet floral sensuous aroma. I immediately bought a bottle and discovered that it's one of those scents that smells unique to who-ever wears it, adapting with each person's own scent.
It's the type of fragrance that always draws compliments from male and female friends and work colleagues alike. The scent isn't overpowering and doesn't last quite long enough after the first initial spray, I found that the Gardenia smell soon gives way to the deeper, muskier scent and then dissipates.
The bottle is a gorgeous deep blue with a silver lid. A lovely scent which doesn't last long enough.
