Advantages: Daytime scent

Disadvantages: Bit mature and outdoor scent for me.

I had this as a gift for Christmas but these now retail at about £3 - £10 a bottle. I would only pay £3 of it though as it does not have the smell I would expect for a tenner.

The design of the box is a striking blue with light blue, the bottle has a simple design which is quite boring compared to other perfumes you could get more a aftershave bottle feel to it. The colour of the perfume also put me off initially because it looks like quite an old and mature yellow orange my nan would buy.

The smell is really overpowering on the first two sprays, It seems to smell like pledge furniture polish for the first five minutes, when the smell dies down you can start to smell floral (lavender, rose) a very strong citrus seems to take over and I think there may be some vanilla in there. Its a fairly sweet smell but quite mature for my liking. It tends to smell quite plant like, like the water in the base of a vase full of flowers. The spray also doesn't last very long and It had totally disappeared by the end of the day.

In my opinion, it's not something I would wear, but I can see the attraction to it but I only think this is suitable for daytime wear, I can imagine it being quite nice for a BBQ or a pool party because of its nature smell but it's not something I would smell anyone wearing out in town.

Summary: I have mixed feelings about Charlie Blue
