A good decent 'celeb' fragrance but unless you are a fan wait for it to hit the discount section!

I am a bit of a perfume snob and would never usually purchase an artist's fragrance. These 'celeb' fragrances never have loads of money chucked at them in the production stage. The plan goes...a celeb is 'in' at the moment, management say quick produce a fragrance as cheap as possible with even quicker turn around time. no time or effort goes into making the scent, the celeb usually has little or no involvement in making it, it is put on the shelf as quickly as possible whilst there is still a load of hype around the celeb, fans will buy at an extortionate price and them 6 months later you can usually purchase the fragrance in the discount section at best, at pound land at worst! Top beauty houses spend years developing their fragrances!
Anyway, I was bought the gift set as a present. When I googled how much it cost I was absolutely disgusted...you could have brought a top brand for that. The perfume was 100ml so size was good but the bottle look so cheap and nasty and the black plastic twirled around the bottle adds to its cheapness!
I was pleasantly surprised my the smell of the fragrance, it has a very spicy sweet smell to it. At first it is very strong. It is so overwhelming you can only spray at most 2 sprays on. This large bottle will go a long way!
The smell was so strong I had high hopes for the longevity of it throughout the day but my hopes were dashed when the scent disappeared very quickly. I wouldn't buy this product again but if you like celeb fragrances then this is probably one of the best I have smelt in a long time.

      Great quality for the price

I got this as a christmas gift when it was on sale because since it is Rihanna, it was quite pricy :) I think it was about 40 Euros on sale. I didn't mind at all though because it smells just so amazing! It's kind of like smelling flowers with a fragrance. It isn't a flowery nature smell at all, but it reminds me of a Rebel flower, like a teenager. It has a very different smell I can't explain. It isn't too strong, it is just perfect. The smell isn't too soft so that it doesn't bore you after a while. To me, every time I smell it, it still reminds me of being excited to use it the first time I opened the box :) It came in a box with Rihanna's cover on it and the packaging was great. It was not overboard that it made me go Wow but it was perfect. The bottle has its own, unique shape and I love it. I spray this only 2 times on my chest area, and the whole day the smell is still there. It stays on for so long, I barely ever go, I should probably carry a small perfume with me. And if you spray it on your clothes, the smell doesn't go away until you wash it the next time. It is just such good quality and the smell is adorable. I got so many compliments and the one I remember the most is when I was standing and it was quite windy outside. This guy said, that perfume smells so nice where is it coming from? And all the girls would just point at me. Ha ha thank you Rihanna! Like I said, I got it as a present for Christmas and I think it has been a year now and I am still using it! Definitely a good purchase.

        beautiful smelling perfume,

This perfume Reb'l Fleur by Rihanna was purchased for me about 2 weeks ago as i had run out of perfume, i smelt the tester bottle first as i wasnt a hundred percent sure what to expect from a perfume by Rihanna and i was impressed by it.

The perfume itself comes in a sleek bottle which is wide at the bottom and gets thinner as it gets to the top, the colours used for the bottle is a gold and black with a simple sleek design which i really like as it isnt too fancy and not over the top at all, the top is a black lid with a gold crusted bottom to it and is easy to take off and the perfume colour is a little tinted.

The smell of the perfume is a very strong powerful smell and has quite a musky scent, its more of a scent that you smell on an older female as they go for musky smelling perfumes, i couldnt imagine smelling it on a younger female as this doesnt smell very floral or sweet at all, its a bit hard to explain the scent but it does smell very nice and is a strong smelling perfume. The 30ml bottle was purchased for me from superdrug and if im honest i didnt pay any attention to how how much it was as my boyfriend was paying for it (apologies) i wore it that night to a wedding reception and there was a few people that asked me what perfume i was wearing and they all said they really liked it so it was very nice to get compliments on it. The next day when i woke up i could actually still smell the perfume on my skin but just abit more fainter.

I am very impressed with this perfume as the smell is beautiful and suitable for my age (26) and the bottle is a nice sleek bottle which looks very sophisticated and not too fancy and the smell just lasts for ages!! I would give it a massive thumbs up and it is worth smelling before purchasing.. but i would say its not the kind of perfume that you could wear on a daily basis as it is more of an evening one so dont give up the day perfume.

My review of the pretty floral scent of singer Rihanna's Reb'l Fleur...a lovely parfum

Perfume and I...a love story x
My name is Anna Louise. My favourite of my senses is smell... I know-what a curious and verging on the ridiculous thing to say I hear some doubters saying! ...But if you do understand me, you know what a thrill a fragrance can be. Its really inexplicable to me how just a concoction of fragrant notes can create hugely different and amazing fragrances to suit every occasion, mood, and create or add to memories, but ohhhhh they can! Hey I'll tell you now I know nothing technical about perfume, its creation nor production I only know what I like...

Reb'l Fleur by Rihanna Eau de Parfum
I was still working at my local Superdrug before Christmas when this was released in 2011. It was brand-new and we needed to promote it of course. Having said that I only ever actively promoted something I have actually tried and I really like or have some kind of faith in. Well intiailly I had no loyalty, however I did try it and straightaway I loved it, save for the 'celeb' label, which to me gave it no kudos. I loved it because the scent is lovely-you will get to know I do tend to love scents which have a complicit Vanilla base. On top of that it has Patchoulli, Amber and Musk base notes, Heart notes of Hawaiian Hibiscus, Violet,Tuberose and Cocunut Water, Top notes of Red Berries,Purple Plum, Peach, and Poinciana. That, according to the perfume shop, adds up to a 'Fruity Chypre' scent with a 'Sexy' feel.Rihanna herself has apparently stated "This fragrance is about my passion for individuality - being expressive and empowering, yes, but also emotional and intriguing. I wear my fragrance, I don't let it wear me."

I wanted to hate it I really did but I fell for the bottle somewhat-it is a clear bottle which allows you to spy the beige/peach liquid scent through it but it is designed in a tapered fashion-gently narrowing right upto its top and has lovely black, and gold trim. It seems to reflect the dichotomy or mix between the internal soft and subtle combinations of scents, against the bright, strong and sexy combinations of fruits and florals. It sprays well-nice and softly with a quality diffuser. It packs a punch, of homely Christmassy Vanilla but you can also detect the other stuff-the almost summery berries, plums peaches. It almost doesnt make sense or fit together-but it does... Smelling both simultaneously can work surprisingly. The initial smell is large, but as it settles it softens a little but maintains its strength and complexity. The scent lingers at length-it has staying power although it is a softer smell which stays-it loses an element of the fruity punch. I like this to wear as a daytime perfume because as it lasts the more subtle scents prevail, however arguably it can cross barriers and be used at night-its up to the wearer I guess.

So the practical stuff...its available from place to place but judging by my experience its not everywhere across all stores...I recommend Superdrug for competitive prices, great staff and beauty points ;p however I am aware they only have one size for sale at this time of year so you havent the luxury of choice between the available sizes. The Perfume shop havent had them in store either in my experience but the website has 30ml for £19.50, 50ml for £29.50 and 100ml for £36.50. I was very lucky to pick up a bargain in Ireland when I was last over in an independent chemist where i got 100ml for just £20-bargain! Try it next time you're in town and see if its for you, I recommend it! even if you dont bloomin know who Rihanna is! A x

          Also on Ciao!

Not your average tacky celeb perfume.

Every morning, I always had 20 minutes to kill between when my boyfriend dropped me into town on his commute and when I had to start work. As I always forgot to spritz my perfume in my hurry to leave the house, I would head to Boots to try out a new perfume each day. As a Rihanna fan, I decided to give hers a go and was pleasantly surprised. At work, a colleague complimented me on my new scent and asked me what I was wearing. Slightly embarrassed, I said that it was Rihanna's Reb'l Fleur. About a week or so later, I ended up complimenting the same girl on her perfume, to which she replied that she had liked mine so much that she had gone out and bought it. It seemed only right that I should purchase the perfume for myself. Now I'm halfway through my second bottle and I never forget to spray Reb'l Fleur before I leave. It is perfect for day or night time and always receives a compliment.

a really nice all round, all season perfume for an affordable price

I'm a perfume lover, but I'm never seduced by celebrity fragrances. I never get the feeling that there is much quality to the product and often I feel they've just been rushed out into the shops to make a quick buck.

Now I must confess, I am a big Rihanna fan and that is the only thing that made me curious enough about this fragrance to give it a try. Convinced that I would be disappointed, imagine my surprise when I found that this was such a sophisticated scent and one that felt like some real thought went into it.

The scent itself is neither floral or fruity with top notes of red berries, Purple plum, peach and base notes of vanilla and Patchouli with heart notes of hibiscus flower, violets and coconut water it's just the right balance of everything.

To me this is an all year round perfume, and a long lasting one too. In my experience I can put this on for a night out and the scent will still be lingering at the end of the evening - not bad for a perfume in this price range. And what a reasonable price range that is! With starting prices at £19.50 (depending on where you get it from) this really is an affordable quality perfume which won't leave you feeling too guilty if you buy yourself a bottle.

If I was forced to think of a bad point? Well I'm not crazy about the shape of the bottle if i'm honest. I get it, it's supposed to be shaped like a stiletto heel of a shoes, but for me it just makes one handed on the go spritzing a little more challenging.

            Nice, but not wow...

"My grandmother in Barbados used to call me her Rebel Flower. Over the years, I layered many different scents to get something that was truly my own. But I wanted something that said 'Rihanna was here.' Something delicious and special, a fragrance with subtle hints that linger and leave a sexy memory" - Rihanna

            Smells like...

All berries smell similar when used in perfumes, but REB'L FLEUR has slightly more distinctive notes, which lean towards tart rather then sweet. Cranberry perhaps? After the berries the plum is the next strongest fruit, but I can't separate any peach in the sweet/sour jumble. The soft coconut and vanilla are present through all of the fragrance, with adds a creamy sweetness and warmth to the mix.

REB'L FLEUR earns many bonus points with me because the tuberose is watered down and the subtle violet sort of powders the note down. As far as I know real hibiscus doesn't really have a discernible scent and as far as I can tell the perfumers have used a mix of florals, including frangipani, in it's place. I catch occasional hints of the other florals used, but nothing else is strong enough to stand out from the other key scent notes. Fragipani is sweet and a bit nutty, so the vanilla and coconut make it stronger.

There is no strong indication between the heart notes and the base of REB'L FLEUR, thanks to the constant trickle of coconut and vanilla. The amber, patchouli and musk are mingled closely together so it is a warm and creamy mix - it is nice, but it is a blend that is used in many fragrances today. Looking at my dresser I can immediately see two different perfumes with the exact same ingredients.

The transparent bottle has been designed to mimic the shape of a stiletto heel. I'm not sure what I think about the design and the ribbon pattern embossed on the glass; it is eye catching, I'll give it that.

The lasting power for REB'L FLEUR is so-so; it averages at about five hours. Not the best for a parfum, but - looking over my collection - it is far from the worst and not too bad for the price bracket it is in.

My sister bought the bottle in New York in February, so I've had the chance to wear this in every season and I'd class this as an all rounder. Admittedly, I prefer wearing this in colder weather, as the creamy tones are more apparent at this time of year. But considering that it is a quite sweet fragrance it hasn't become sickly or cloying in the hot weather we've had and is still perfectly wearable during spring/summer, as the fruit notes are not too sweet themselves and add a zingy freshness.

I think of REB'L FLEUR as being a cheerful fragrance, so I find it perfect for day wear, especially as a pick-me-up for work. I can't see why you couldn't wear it in the evening if you wanted, but for some reason I don't.

            Worth a spritz?
            - - - - - - - - - - - - -

I found the idea behind REB'L FLEUR (rebel flower) intriguing; blending together tougher, attention grabbing notes with softly feminine florals. And the tagline 'Bad feels so good' seemed to confirm that this would indeed be a bold fragrance, with noticeable contrasts between the scent notes. I don't think that the finished fragrance lives up to it's image and marketing, but it is 'nice'.

Although I think REB'L FLEUR is nicely blended, very wearable and wears quite well I don't know if I'll replace my almost empty bottle -at least not before checking everything else on offer out first. As you can see it's a short review and that's because whilst is is very pleasant to wear, it's nothing new and it doesn't excite me.

This scent will be followed by Rebelle EDP, which does sound like what REB'L FLEUR should have really been like; ploom, strawberry, ginger, heliotrope, cacao, orchid, musk, patchouli, amber and coffee.

None of my local shops seem to sell the 100ml bottle, so you may need to go online to buy it.

No sign of any gift-sets yet, but most celebrity branded perfumes usually get one for Christmas.

Daring, sexy and truly memorable, Reb'l Fleur is as much in tune with Barbados-born Rihanna's roots as it is with the glamour of her present life in New York City and was launched in 2011. The fragrance is an intense and daring fruity chypre, composed of sophisticated floral notes of tuberose, violet and hibiscus, with a splash of coconut water over the light and smooth base, with the combination of the final notes evoking the impression of warm skin.
