Advantages: Great Value for money, smells so feminine, it's Eau de parfum so is long lasting
Disadvantages: it isn't a cheap celeb perfume so I don't have any negative points
I was bought this perfume as a present for my birthday and I wasn't too sure whether it would smell nice because it is a celebrity perfume. I have tried Britney Spears and some other celeb perfumes which I thought were horrible.
However the person who gave it to me rated it so highly that I thought I ought to just open it and try it out.... and to my surprise I thought it wasn't too bad. The first thing I thought when I smelt it was that it smelt of roses but then had this peculiar minty after smell (like toothpaste), this put me off it slightly, but I continued to wear it. And now I have been wearing it for 4 months the fragrance has grown and grown on me and now I can't go out the door without wearing it. It was a 50ml I was given and I have about 10ml left, I will definitely be buying another one!
***History to the Bottle and Fragrance***
I did some research when I first got this fragrance to find out a bit about Sarah Jessica Parker (SJP). She is not like all the other celebrities that get manufacturers and other perfumers to create a perfume and stick their name to it. No SJP actually picked out all the ingredients herself as well as helped to design her own bottle. This is perhaps why the fragrance smells like a quality fragrance and not some cheap celeb fragrance.
So how did SJP help design the bottle? I found out that apparently the top to the perfume imitates one of SJP's doorknobs in her home and that she asked the makers of the bottle to add this. The grey surrounding under the top to the bottle came from a grey ribbon that was hanging on this doorknob at the time which gave her inspiration to add that to the bottle. And the colour of the bottle she experimented with to find the perfect shade by dyeing eggs and once she found her perfect shade she passed it onto the designers of the bottle.
***Main Ingredients***
It contains mandarin, orchid, apple martini, rosewood, bergamot and amber (I have no idea where I thought this minty smell came from, but if I smell it and really think about the ingredients, this minty smell still occurs).
So it is a fruity and exotic fragrance which smells LOVELY! It is also an Eau de Parfum so lasts such a long time.
***Prices***
50ml = £30.00
100ml = £40.00
Body lotion = £15.00
Shower gel = £14.00
***So would I recommend this fragrance? ***
I certainly would and I have thanked my friend so much for buying it for me. It really is a beautifully feminine and fruity fragrance. It is like an old fashioned fragrance that has been modernised, it really is a timeless and gorgeous fragrance.
Summary: It is a beautiful timeless and feminine perfume, which is great value for money!
