Todays So... EDT is So... Sinful. It is described as 'a combination of fresh Strawberries and juicy Pineapple for a fruity scent followed by Violet, Water-Lily and Jasmine before over indulging you with a rich creamy Vanilla and Dark Chocolate base for the ultimate sensual fragrance'. Sounds like a chocolate fondu.
The fragrance comes in the regulation So... bottle. The bottle is made of clear glass with the name So... Sinful neatly printed on the front in pink handwriting. The bottle has a purple plastic cap that looks like a little button mushroom which when removed reveals a nice sturdy spray.
As usual I give the EDT a spray on each wrist and a couple of sprays on my chest. The initial scent is sweet and fruity but not very strong, I was tempted to put a couple more sprays on each wrist but I resisted and waited for the scent to develop. Within half an hour the scent has developed, it still smells slightly fruity but I seem to have missed the floral notes altogether and gone straight to the Vanilla and Dark Chocolate. The Vanilla is the strongest tone, the Dark Chocolate adds warmth to the Vanilla.
I actually like this scent quite a lot; I don't usually go for foody tones but this works as a nice everyday scent. The Strawberry and Pineapple tones when first sprayed are fresh and clean and it does not take long for the EDT to mature into the scent that hangs around for a good 6 hours.
This is my daughters scent but she does not wear it that often as she favours So... Kiss Me. I would class this scent as nice every day wear, it is not complex enough to be worn on a special occasion.
As with all So... EDT's they can easily be sourced online or on the high street. In Boots you can expect to pay £10.49 for a 50ml bottle and £5 on Amazon.co.uk. Other complementary products are available, so if you really like this you can layer it for a longer lasting scent.
Thank you for reading.
Bless my son! He may only be seven but at Christmas he wants to go out and choose me a present and apparently this year he told his Dad to buy me a Pandora charm for my bracelet but as we are now divorced I don't think this went down too well! He did however allow my son to go to the shops and choose a couple of small things for me and one of the items he chose was a So...? Sinful little set which contained a lip balm, body cream and a 30ml eau de toilette. It is the eau de toilette that I shall review today.
So is a perfume which I used to wear when I was a teenager along with the likes of Charlie and what not and so when I received this set from my son I did initially think oh my goodness I'm not a teenager anymore but I hoped it would work as a cheap perfume for days when I am doing not a lot or going to work when I don't really want to use my more expensive perfumes.
The So...? Sinful comes in a clear glass bottle which is narrow at the bottom and which gradually gets thicker. It has a square base and so it can stand on it well. I remember in the past the So bottles used to be a short square bottle and I have to say I do prefer the look of this longer bottle as it is a bit more elegant. This is never going to look like an expensive perfume because quite frankly it isn't and it is more aimed towards younger girls but I think the longer shape looks better all round. The bottle features a purple coloured dome lid as well as the product name on the glass bottle as well. What is great is that as the bottle is made from a clear glass and so you can tell how much you have in. I prefer this from a bottle really as it is nice to know when I am running out.
The lid of the bottle is easily removed to expose a shiny silver coloured spray top and when you sniff at the spray you can smell the perfume immediately even without spraying it which is nice I think. This particular perfume actually shocked me in that when I smelt it I thought it was lovely even for someone of my age! The perfume smells very fruity and the notes of strawberry and pineapple are apparent but what is also noticeable for me is that this isn't just a sweet, fruity and girly fragrance but it has quite a sensual undertone to it which I just love.
The fragrance comes out in quite a powerful spray and so you don't need to spray it many times to get a nice amount of the perfume on your wrists or whatever. Initially the smell is very strong and you can detect the alcohol in the scent but this soon settles leaving a really sweet lovely scent which I think would be suitable for anyone who loves sweet fragrances to be honest as opposed to just teenagers which I had initially feared when opening the present. The eau de toilette isn't going to have the staying power of Chanel or something like that but you can't really expect that when it costs just a fiver from Tesco for a 50ml bottle! It probably lasts a couple of hours before fading in to the background but as it is so cheap I don't mind reapplying it if and when I need to.
As surprised as I am I can actually recommend this eau de toilette as a perfect day perfume as it is sweet yet a bit sexy too and it won't break the bank by any means. I think it would suit any fans of a sweet fragrance and would certainly recommend giving it a go as you may well be as surprised as I was!
Thank you for reading my review!
The So...? Range of perfumes have been around for years - I remember often getting a little selection box of mini bottles from the range for Christmas and birthdays as an older teen - and certainly the scents are very young and fresh.
So, when my daughter (almost 8) stated that she was too old for toys now, but wouldn't mind some perfume and make-up , we went down to the local Boots to see what we could fine for her, and ended up with a 50ML bottle of So...? Sinful for just over a tenner.
Naturally, my daughter was delighted, and as soon as we got home she eagerly sprayed herself from head to toe in the fragrance, and initially the sweetness was so overwhelming as to make me almost nauseous . This was however because my daughter had used far too much of the stuff in her excitement.
However, a second, and much calmer use revealed a lovely sweet fruity scent - it's just incredibly yummy. A smorgasbord of tasty treats - strawberry, pineapple, and melon are the scents to first hit your nose after spraying, but after a few minutes a delicate floral tone begins to creep into the scent, with hints of jasmine and violet. Allowed ten minutes or so to develop, a small hint of bitter cocoa creeps into the mix, which helps to calm some of the sweetness .
This isn't a perfume I would personally wear - it's far too sweet and sugary for me liking. However, I do think this is a nice scent for a child or younger teen - fresh, light, and innocent. I do think older teens, and most adults, would find it rather babyish and unsophisticated.
The bottle is rather plain - a sort of triangular affair, narrower at the base and widening at the shoulders, with a pink and purple cap . It does allow you to clearly see how much scent is left in the bottle, and as you can see the perfume is ever so delicate a pink colour. It doesn't stain clothing though (I was cautious and tested it!) nor does it irritate skin .
Overall, I'm pleased with this. My daughter loves the sweet and fruity smell, and of course the fact that she likes it is the most important thing . I like it because it isn't too grown up - in fact, you wouldn't necessarily know my daughter had used perfume rather than a fruity shampoo or body lotion. I don't want my daughter to be too grown up too early, but nor do I want to baby her, and this playful scent strikes a good balance between my wishes as a parent, and her desire to be grown up like mummy. It's also very reasonably priced - my daughter could easily save a few weeks pocket money for a bottle, and I can occasionally treat her to something new from the range.
I'm giving this four stars - I don't like it much personally, but my daughter (whom it was purchased for) does, and that's what counts.
I have So...? Sinful in a 20ml and 30ml bottle, the 20ml was given to me as a Christmas gift a few years ago and I picked up the 30ml recently as it was on offer.
The 20ml bottle, pictured above, is a small cube bottle. The bottle is completely clear and has a purple, mushroom shaped lid, which simply pulls off.
The 30ml bottle is slightly different. It comes in a cylinder shape which gets thinner as it gets closer to the bottom, the lid is the same as the 20ml bottle.
So...? perfume usually RRP around £5 for a 30ml bottle, I recently picked mine up at half price in Boots. So it only cost me £2.50! Bargain!!
The So...? website describes this perfume to have 'a combination of fresh strawberries and fruity pineapple'. It also says that you should pick up hints of violet, water-lily and jasmine with vanilla and dark chocolate.
To describe the scent myself, I can pick up the vanilla and dark chocolate smell in a sense. The best way to describe it would be to say it smells like cocoa butter, I believe it has the exact same smell! I do not detect any of the other scents which are supposed to be in the perfume.
I know that a lot of people turn their noses up at so..? products and believe that they are for teenage girls, rather than adults. However, I adore this perfume and will continue to buy it for as long as I can get away with it!
The scent is beautiful and lasts for most of the day. I always carry my 20ml bottle in my handbag, just incase I need it. Even the 30ml bottle is a handy size for your handbag.
For the price, it is definately worth picking a couple of these up, just incase you ever need them.
Also, I believe that so...? perfumes are perfect as gifts for teenage girls but, at 20, I would be very happy to receive a bottle as a gift.
I had a So...? Sinful gift set for Xmas that contained a bottle of perfume and a body spray. I like the perfume a lot more than I thought I would and it's deffo got a more grown up smell than the rest of the So...? range.
It comes in a small pyramid shaped bottle with a big chunky purple lid, it looks a bit cheap I think but is still a nice girly bottle that looks ok with the rest of my bottles.
When I first sprayed the perfume I noticed the vanilla smell straight away, it's a lovely sweet perfume that is a bit fruity at the same time. The vanilla is definitely the strongest smell to start with and it's not until that calms down a bit that you start being able to smell the other things in the perfume.
The fruity smell comes from strawberries, you can't pick up the exact smell of strawberry (or more accurately I couldn't! lol) but there's a strong berry flavour that turns fruitier and fruitier on my skin as the time goes on. There's a bit of a floral smell in the perfume too but to be honest I wouldn't have known what it was until I looked on the So...? website and found out that it's violet, and it's weird but now I know I should be able to smell the violets I deffo can detect the sweet flower smell of them.
The perfume lasts for longer than I thought it would. It's quite a faint smell to start with but that works out ok because it doesn't fade for ages after you've sprayed it so you get this lovely sweet perfume though a lot of the day and even though it's faint it lasts. The sweetness fades but that's about it and once the sickly sweet vanilla smell has disappeared a bit the perfume starts rounding off a bit and that's when the fruit smell comes through.
I think the fainter smell than I was expecting is because it's an eau de toilette instead of an eau de parfum. But then a bottle is only about a fiver so what can you expect for that??? lol
I love this perfume and I've stuck me nose up at the So...? range before thinking it was for tweenie school girls who think they're big and clever. It's not the sort of perfume I'd wear on a bit night out because it hasn't got much depth in the smell and is so faint, I'll stick with Dior perfume I reckon for nights out or when I want to smell particularly nice. For during the day though this is fine because it's girly and light and deffo won't knock anyone out with a majorly strong smell like a lot of perfumes.
So...? Soooooo GORGEOUS!
This is the most amazing fragrance smell i have ever had to endure. With its powering auroma making you feel sexy and sassy. In my opinion, it smells like candyfloss, but to others it may smell like pineapple, strawberry or mint. It just haves that develish smell that makes you want to have more. So sinful comes in perfume bottles or deodrants for body spray. This will definately make you feel gorgeous because even my friends have commented that i have smelt amazing lately! hehe. You can find this perfume in superdrug, or any other leading retail stores around the country.
I absoloutly love this stuff, and for all you sassy women will love it too!
The downside is that if you use it too much on a single spot of your body, it may become overpowering and may smell too strong for your liking, So make sure you use wisely. It comes in a small bottle but it is very cheap to buy! Go buy it now :D
So...sinful is a great perfume however it does, as with most perfumes, have its negatives.
The positives to start with - the price! I bought a 30ml bottle a couple for months ago for just under a fiver in Boots. I thought it would smell tacky and fake like most cheap perfumes do. However it wasn't!
Another positive is the simple bottle design. It's easy to slip in a pocket or bag and nothing can break off (unlike some fancy perfumes I have bought!)
However the main negative: after a while it does get a bit sickly. Even though it is eau de toilette it sometimes can be a bit strong. However most of my friends seem to like this! I've had loads of complements on the small and I swear they've used more than I have!
There are many perfumes in this range and they all small different. Some are light some are heavy. For the price you may as well try one!
I have a couple of favourite fragrances. Fragrances evoke memories for me and this particular perfume not only cost pennies compared to most but is a firm favourite with me because an ex used to love it and always commented on it and like most of the women on here I have loads of perfumes, alot of them really expensive and this gets the most reactions and comments!
I'd used it years ago when it first came out as I have tried most of the so...? fragrances over the years and most recently I fell in love with and picked up on the So...? Sinful body-sprays cos they're always on offer and now it's the only body spray I use so when I saw this Eau De Toilette on offer in Superdrug it made sense to buy it an I've pretty much worn it ever since!
So...? Kiss Me
Also available in all of the above fragrances are matching body sprays which are quite often on 2 for the price of one deals in Boot's, Superdrug, Wilkinson's, Tesco's, Sainsbury's at the price of £1.60 each or as stated for 2 in some cases! These are really gorgeous and in the summer perfect for all over sexy scenting!
So...? Sinful... The Packaging....
Mine is a 20ml glass bottle with push down lid with a bright pink rim that goes over a little shiny silver sprayer. On the front of the bottle in pink writing I'm told that it is indeed So...? Sinful and on the bottom told it is Eau de toilette. It came in a purple box again telling me what it is and who it's by and the weight is stated on the front.

I just adore it! It's my feel good about myself and feel incredibly sexy perfume! It's very warm, sweet and deep and although billed as a daytime fragrance I agree if your daring by all means do wear it but for me this is a nighttime fragrance in the main.
To my nose it's mainly vanilla. It has a very grown up seductive edge to it. I can smell the sweetness of the vanilla and chocolate more than anything with the jasmine lightly breezing over the top of it softening down the sweetness.
In it, it also has strawberries, pineapple, violet, and water Lily's along with the ingredients I've already listed. The more you sniff at it the more you get confused cos you never smell it the same way twice! You don't need alot to achieve a smell so it's long lasting in the bottle and it not a perfume that once you apply you need to pop it in your handbag and take it out with you to top up, one spray and your away kind of thing.
It stays on the skin for hours and is perfect for wearing in warmer places i.e pubs and clubs cos it really does get more fragrant with warmth. It laces your clothes but is none staining (and fragrance washing out easy) and when I've been out clubbing and get me kit off and snuggle up in bed (alone lol) I can still smell it, just a bit more faintly.
It's a grownup girly smell with a big hint of naughtiness thrown in for good measure and I call it my candyfloss perfume. It really is sexy and I always feel a shift in my attitude when I'm wearing it! All my friends who adore Lush I demand you to smell this! It smells a bit like a Lush shop in a bottle!
Truly different and unique and so cheap compared to many other fragrances on the market. The only reason you wouldn't like this is if you don't like really girly fragrances, and very sweet and deep, but for me I'm sure this will always be my favourite!
Perfect for young women and more mature ladies alike..get sinful with me!!!!!!!!!
I can't find any prices on the Boots, or Superdrug website and these are the only places I have seen this fragrance so I can't give sizes or prices but my 20ml in Superdrug was on offer at £3.75 for the bottle. Also can be found in discount stores on line (really cheap!)
