Soap & Glory Original Pink
Advantages: gorgeous scent, summery
Disadvantages: can't see through the bottle, no lid
I adore the majority of the soap and glory original pink range because I love the fragrance of it. When I discovered there was a soap and glory eau de toilette I added it to the list of things I might like for Christmas and was lucky that my mum bought it for me in part of a set.
The fragrance comes in a shiny silver bottle which has a circular front. The bottle is almost like a mirror and so I guess if you were desperate you could use the back of it as one! You cannot see through the bottle anywhere which I personally don't like much as I would like to be able to see when I was running out of it. On the front of the bottle it has the soap and glory name in a pink coloured lettering which is slightly jumbled so it looks quite fun I think. The bottle doesn't come with a lid, only a silver clip with some ribbon tied to it which I have already managed to lose so I do think a lid would be a better option and would make the bottle look more complete on a dresser in my opinion.
Now as I mentioned earlier this perfume is intended to replicate the original pink fragrance which I really do love and I have to say it will not let you down at all on that front. I am a bit rubbish at picking out individual notes and such like and so had a quick look online and can advise that the fragrance is a sweet and fruity fragrance which has notes including peach, summer rose, strawberry, patchouli and jasmine as well as a few others. All those scents mean very little to me written down like that but what I smell as a complete unprofessional when I spray this fragrance is a very fruity, sweet and girly fragrance. It is not too strong and overbearing and it settles nicely on the skin to leave a subtle and fresh scent.
I find that if I use this fragrance the scent is noticeable for perhaps a couple of hours after application but it is much lighter than when originally sprayed. I have taken to also using soap and glory's righteous body butter before using the eau de toilette which does make the fragrance last a little but longer as it is layered up. I have had lots of compliments whilst wearing this fragrance with people asking me what it is so it is perhaps more noticeable than I think.
A 50ml bottle of soap and glory eau de toilette costs £15.83 from boots currently. This sits in line with the price of some of the celebrity fragrances on the market and I think is about right really considering the quality of them and this particular product. I would recommend this product as a perfect day time scent for spring and summer as it is so fresh and fruity but I would say that you need to expect to reapply a few times.
Thank you for reading my review!
