A lovely everyday wear fruity-floral S&G scent. I just wish it lasted longer!

There are a few scents which some of my favourite cosmetic and beauty products hold which I feel would make a really pleasant fragrance. If you've ever thought this about Soap & Glory's The Righteous Butter then you'll absolutely adore this perfume as that is pretty much what it is!

A 50ml bottle of this perfume costs £16.50 in Boots, I've never seen it in any other High Street shop but I'm sure it's available on various websites too. I think £16.50 for 50ml is an amazing price for a decent perfume and I certainly don't begrudge paying this particularly seems as Soap & Glory products are often part of a three for two deal in Boots with this perfume included in that offer. It is, however, only available as a 50ml bottle.

Soap & Glory have stuck to their usual pink and girly packaging for this perfume although it doesn't have quite as much of a retro feel about it as many of the other products do. Its pink, rectangular box has a sort of random mix of letters from the name embossed into it with a little silver square smack bang in the middle of the front of the box with the perfume's name also embossed into it. The Soap & Glory's logo is stamped onto the top of the box and the full product name on either side. The back contains some information about the perfume itself too.

Opening the box reveals the bottle which is fairly simple and not that much to look at (although what is inside the bottle counts much more). It's a round bottle with a flat front, back and bottom. It's silver in colour and the only form of decoration you really have the bottle is another random mix of letters from 'Soap & Glory' stuck on in big, pale pink lettering. The bottle has no lid but instead has a little half ring of metal which slots just below the nozzle preventing the perfume from being sprayed accidently. This ring also has a dark brown piece of ribbon attached with pale pink dots along the edges. This method does work at stopping the perfume being wasted in your bag etc but I still think I'd have preferred an actual lid.

To be honest, the packaging and the 'Original Pink' name really doesn't appeal to me at all and if it were not for the fact I know and love Soap & Glory I probably wouldn't have even given this a glance on the shelves when I saw it. It all appears to be marketed at the young girl audience, a sort of 'my first proper perfume' type product. Fortunately the smell offers something much more and isn't, as the packaging suggests, a typical over the top sweet smelling perfume you'd expect to get a whiff of on a twelve year old girl.

The perfume features top notes of orange leaf, lemon, peach and sweet strawberries. Heart notes of mandarin, summer rose, gardenia blooms and jasmine. And base notes of patchouli, warm amber and musk.

On initial spray you get a sparkling fruity scent although not to the extremes I think the notes make you imagine. I think it's the mandarin which is the dominant scent initially but there's always an air of muskiness to it which I think balances out what would otherwise be a sickly sweet fruity scent.

It really doesn't take long for more floral heart notes to come out either - maybe about five minutes. Here the rose and jasmine really shine but, again, still with that fruitiness and muskiness present.

I wouldn't say the scent changes again after this; it seems to stay as it is for a while before starting to fade. Unfortunately after two, maybe at the absolute most three, hours after applying this all traces seem to have vanished and a top-up is required. At its price, however, this doesn't bother me too much.

It's a fruity-floral scent which is very pleasant and something a little bit different. It really is Soap & Glory's signature scent in perfume form so is great for wearing after already layering in this scent in the bath/shower and goes absolutely perfectly with The Righteous Butter.

In terms of strength it is what I would call a subtle perfume. It's still very detectable, particularly for the first half an hour or so and, until it fades completely, it remains strong enough to clearly smell but subtle enough not to blow the back of my nostrils off (if that's even possible).

It has room for massive improvement in terms of how long the scent lasts but I find the perfume cheap enough to replace often so I don't find this too off putting. Despite its price, however, it doesn't smell like a cheap perfume in my opinion. It's definitely an everyday scent. I tend to spray myself in this for work and I always gets a fair few compliments from my co-workers and even customers when I do so, I get asked very regularly what I'm wearing went I'm wearing this so it can't be all bad!

I would recommend this perfume. It won't win any awards any time soon but for its price and beautiful scent albeit not being long lasting one, I think it's a great, easy to wear perfume for day-to-day activities.

      Highly recommended

I first came across this gorgeous perfume a few months ago in Boots; I am a huge fan of Soap and Glory products, so a perfume was right up my street. I spent ages sniffing it in the shop, wishing I hadn't just spent all my money on clothes! It's an absolute bargain at £16.50 for 50ml, you'd pay so much more for a designer brand that doesn't smell as nice.

Anyway, a few days later, my husband came home with a present for me....this very perfume! I was thrilled to bits!

The perfume comes in a really nice pink box, decent quality, feels more expensive than what it is. The bottle is sort of flat circle shape and is silver with pink writing on it. It also had a ribbon on it but I took that off as it was annoying.

The scent is gorgeous, if you've ever used Soap and Glory, Clean on Me, it smells exactly like that. I've had so many compliments about it since I started wearing it. It has a very floral, very girly smell; it has Rose & Bergamot, which is their signature scent.

I put this perfume on in the morning and I can still smell it a few hours later, so it's not one of those perfumes that fade after an hour.

Definitely recommend it if you're looking for a new perfume, it's affordable and smells amazing.
