The one thing I havent bought myself in what seems like ages is a new perfume. I owned loads already and vowed when I moved flats back in February that I would use up what I had before purchasing any more which I have been doing so when I spotted a really big bottle of this the other week in a 100ml size for just £3.99 in my local B & M store I treated myself to it after a box being opened by someone else and having a sniff of it as they don't usually have testers there and I really did like it and so I treated myself!
I don't know much about the brand that is Storm, only that I have seen perfumes and the likes from the brand in places like Boots in the past and that it was far higher priced than what I paid for my bottle! A quick look on Amazon (my bible!) shows me that at the cheapest for a bottle the same size as to what I bought, I should have paid £11.67 including postage and packaging for it....so I'm pleased!
My bottle of perfume came in a light pink, metallic box ad on the front of it we are told that it is indeed Storm Electric 'For Her' (there is a For Him edition of this as well), Eau De Toilette and that it is indeed 100ml in size(3.4 Fl.OZ) and then on the back of the box other information listed includes the size being again stated, some information is given in foreign languages and contact details for Jigsaw Distribution (the manufacturer of the product) are clearly stated. The bottle the Eau De Toilette comes in is oblong and made of see-through quite thick and chunky glass with what feels like a plastic but still see-through lid to the top of that which securely covers the silver pump action sprayer and then on the front and back of it, once again we are told what it is and who it is by and the size is stated and on the base of it we are told again the size and that once opened that we should use this up within 36 months. The packaging is nice enough and its certainly robust though not posh looking packaging and I personally think this would appeal more to younger 20 something wearers in its overall appeal, packed on shelves.
The Eau De Toilette:
I have to admit both me and my Mother (who tried to pinch this from me!) love this one and although the packaging suggests to me that this is aimed at younger wearers I think this really would appeal to anyone who likes sweet and floral scents really and I can't see it offending anyone scent wise.
According to the information I have found on this scent it is described as a floral/fruity scent with a woody undertone hmmmmm.....
This is meant to smell of rather a few things including green apples, plum, bergamot, clary sage and mandarin with woody base notes and a hint of spice? For me this description is well far off the mark and it smells to me nothing like that whatsoever!
To me it this has a sweet with a hint of a vanilla like fragrance which is warm and over that....well a light floral fragrance which is fresh and the best description I can give to the floral fragrance I can detect is white flowers. Its a warm and sweet smell, not particularly sophisticated for perfume snobs but for me I love this for day use in the main.
It lingers on my skin for a good few hours and doesn't have a synthetic undertone to it thankfully. It isn't an in your face or even deep and all that layered fragrance and it does need to be topped up throughout the day (or night if you refer) to keep you fragrant but it is pretty.......I just wish it was a bit stronger and a bit more in your face and that people couldn't only smell it when they get up close and personal with me!
Its light and its delicate and it is unusual. The information I have found about this fragrance lists thats its exciting......well I beg to differ. I think its sensual and a bit sexy. I wouldn't pay top whack for this I don't mind admitting but for under a fiver for a 100ml I certainly would purchase this again. Its not my favourite scent due to its strength but it really is a pretty and warm fragrance so at the price I paid I would give it thr thumbs up but anymore....I don't think I'd bother sadly!
