Just before Christmas I treated myself to a bottle of Ghost deep night eau de toilette spray. I hadn't intended to buy anything for myself but on testing the perfumes in my local Boots I feel in love with this scent and just had to have a bottle! I can't remember exactly how much I paid but it was around the £30 mark for a 50 ml bottle. The price of this perfume does vary from the RRP of £32.50 with Amazon selling it for £26.35.
Ghost deep night was launched in 2001 and is now widely available. The perfume is marketed as one that will take the wearer into the world of feelings between day and night. The moon shaped glass bottle reflects this statement as does inky blue midnight sky colour. The bottle has a flat bottom so it sits safely on my dressing table.
I always find it difficult to accurately describe any scent! The top notes of this perfume are Indian rose and night lady blossom. The middle notes are orange and apricot and the base notes are vanilla, amber and musk. I am pleased to say that I can't detect any musk scent as its not one I like.
In my opinion this is a lovely perfume that can be worn during the day or for an evening out. It is not too heavy and neither is it sweet. One or two sprays will last all day. I think it smells slightly florally with a hint of vanilla. When I am wearing this perfume I often get compliments. This perfume also makes me feel more confident and sophisticated!
Overall I would highly recommend this perfume but would advise you to try before you buy as perfumes often smell differently according to your skin type. I think this is a lovely fragrance that is suitable for both day and nigh time wear.
Ok, so here goes. I have never written a perfume review before, so I have no idea how this is going to do.
First of all, this perfume comes in a dark purple moon shape bottles. There are 3 different sizes available, each varying in price. You can expect to pay around £30 for the largest bottle, which I do think is very expensive, but so worth it.
I love the bottle; it's very attractive and I am very proud to show it off on my dressing table. I like the 'spray button' on the top which squirts the perfume out. The lid is very secure; you have to 'click' it back on. It ensures that there is no spillage.
I received the Ghost: Deep Night fragrance for Christmas a few years ago, and every time I wear it, it always reminds me of the parties I went to around New Year.
Being non-perfume-expert I won't go into detail about the top notes etc, as to be quite frankly, I don't understand the whole 'science bit' of perfume and I don't think it will really help you understand what the perfume smells exactly like, anyway.
I love the fragrance! Even though it was around 5 years ago that I first tried it, no matter how many other fragrances I have tried, I always end up going back to it. Also, when I try a new perfume I compare how it makes me feel compared to this fragrance.
I love how this fragrance gives you confidence. When I was younger, I didn't used to have much confidence, although I always felt a lot more confident when I wore this perfume. It makes you feel really classy, elegant and lady-like.
I used to use this perfume in the day, although now I only wear it for special occasions (only night time). It is perfect to wear for a night out or date. It is very sexy and clean scent. I love that his has a feeling of mystery about it.
The perfume is quite subtle, yet at the same time quite strong; a kind of 'in the background' kind of strong though, and not a 'in your face' kind of strong.
Now I am not exaggerating, but every time I wear this perfume at least one person tells me I smell nice and asks what perfume I am wearing. So that has got to be a good thing, right?.
Whilst everyone's perfume tastes are different, I do genuinely believe that this is the kind of perfume that everyone likes. I love this perfume and cannot get enough of it! I would definitely recommend it!
This is a perfume that will make you feel strong, sexy and mysterious.
So you know why I smell so good now! Hehe!
Thanks for reading!

Ghost is a fashion and fragrance range introduced by Tanya Sarne. The range includes regular and limited edition scents such as Anticipation, Cherished and Ghost the Fragrance.
Deep Night is classed as "the fragrance of love" according to Ghost. It is presented in eau de toilette form and a matching body lotion is available allowing the wearer to layer the scent. Deep Night is said to be a floral, fruity fragrance which is perfect for a confident woman. It depicts the transition from day time to night time.
To reflect the name of this fragrance, the bottle is shaped like a partial moon. It offers a smooth, purple tinted glass bottom with a rather cheap, plastic lid. The bottle has a platform effect at the base and Ghost is written in white on the front.
Deep Night EDT has been created using 3 sets of fragrance notes. These blend of notes wear on the skin producing different aroma. The fragrance composition is regarded as floral and fruit though follows an Oriental feel.
*Top notes offer the initial scent on the skin - Indian Rose and Belle de Nuit (night lady)
*Heart notes create the main body of the scent - white tree, apricot and orange
*Base notes round of the scent and linger on the skin - vanilla, musk and amber
Deep Night is widely available in 30ml, 50ml and 75ml sizes. It is stocked in Boots priced from £24.00 - £44.50 and a gift set is available for £24.00. The prices are identical on www.escentual.com. Cheaper options include Amazon where prices start from £21.45 - £41.00. A smaller 10ml bottle can often be found In perfume sets.
I love the range of Ghost fragrances and would say Deep Night is one of my favourites. Whilst the other Ghost fragrances are perfect for day to day wear, it is always a good option to have a night time sort of fragrance in there too. Last year I reviewed the body lotion in this fragrance and shortly afterwards, I received a 30ml and 10ml bottle of the EDT. I have used up the 30ml bottle so currently have the 10ml size which is perfect for slotting in my hand bag.
The bottle design is perfectly beautiful. The moon shape allows the bottle to be different and stands out in a simple yet classy manner. The lid whilst secure enough on the bottle, is cheap and the colouring has started to scrape off mine though this may be an issue with the smaller bottles only. The other bottle I had, offered a spray top which sprayed an even mist of scent onto my skin. I currently use a dab bottle though so tend to use a little bit more. I dab onto my wrists and neck for optimum coverage.
~Day To Night~
I personally wear this if going out for the evening. It isn't an overpowering scent so ideal for dinner or quieter events. I have worn the body lotion during the day and topped it up with the EDT at night but both could be applied at the same time as this leads to a more noticeable layered effect on the skin.
From the moment I apply this perfume, I am impressed and this is the reason I have appreciated it for several years. It is distinctive and I can tell when someone else is wearing Deep Night. The top notes create the most beautiful yet different opening to the fragrance and sit subtlety on my skin. The scent is quite addictive and whilst the Indian Rose offers a light floral scent, it is the Belle de Nuit which is most prominent. The overall top note composition is a calming, classy scent which reminds me of Moonflower. It has a comforting effect on me and I cannot help but sniff my skin for the hour it remains noticeable.
The heart of Deep Night offers a more lively composition when compared with the opening notes. It is far from being a vibrant scent but doesn't lack character or enthusiasm. The orange and apricot create the most beautiful yet subtle aroma which is sweet and slightly playful. There is a zesty undertone within this composition and a faint leafy hint running through it. The heart is a step up from the calming opening notes but comes through on a sophisticated level rather than a strong, fruity level.
After 3-4hours (without body lotion as a base) the heart begins to fade away and make way for the true star of the show. The base notes are very inviting and although the may seem like a typical selection for a fragrance, the choice and depth of the scent cannot be questioned. The vanilla is full bodied with a natural sweetness whilst the amber creates a warm, enchanting aroma. The musk never really shines through which I appreciate. The overall base is very rich, smooth and comforting. It is the most concentrated composition within the scent and remains prominent for 3hours before becoming nothing more than a whispering scent on my skin.
Deep Night is definitely an evening scent. Although it isn't too heavily scented, the choice of fragrance notes seem a little lost by wearing during the day so I would recommend this one for exclusive evening use. I have worn this fragrance since my teens and could see me wearing it for many years to come so age is no issue.
For an EDT, Deep Night lasts for around 7hours on my skin which I find brilliant. I can extend this by a few hours if I apply a thin layer of the body lotion prior to the EDT and I get beautifully soft skin at the same time! Deep Night is an affordable scent and if you fancy trying it, I would recommend opting for a gift set as you get the body lotion free in most cases.
Overall a beautiful scent with a 5 star recommendation from me!
Thanks for reading x
I received a deluxe 10ml sample of this perfume in a Christmas gift set this year and am really enjoying using this perfume in particular.
The Ghost Deep Night perfume is a branch off of the original Ghost fragrance. This fragrance is designed to be a deeper fragrance and is predominantly vanilla scented with some oriental spices in order to give it a heavier and less sweet scent. The ides of the perfume is that is created for a woman who is strong, self confident and clever, according to the company! I would agree that the perfume itself is strong and as such you need to feel confident wearing such a distinctive and noticable scent. I think this perfume is very wearbale, however due to the strong scent it might not be suitable for everyone, especially if you are looking for a lighter perfume!
I would generally use this perfume in the evening as I feel it is a bit too heavy for daytime wear, especially in the summer. The fragrance is averagely priced, it costs £32.50 for a 50ml bottle which I think is a reasonable price. The perfume lasts well and I generally wear it in the evenings and don't reapply it and I find it last all evening.
One of the best features of this perfume is the bottle, which is shaped like a crescent moon. The bottle is a very deep purple colour and has the word 'Ghost' written in simple white letters along the bottom. The top of the bottle simply pops off and the perfume can then be sprayed onto the skin. I find this bottle looks very interesting on my dresser and I think it is a very simple yet effective design.
Overall I give this perfume 5/5 as I feel it is reasonably priced, has a great bottle design, good longevity and is a scent I really enjoy wearing.
I haven't used this perfume for a while but it is one of my all-time favourites and one that I keep coming back to time and time again. The first thing that strikes you about this perfume is the bottle - the signature half moon shape is distinctive and original, and looks really classy on your dressing table. It's a good size for fitting in your handbag too and the click lid ensures no leakage.
The fragrance itself is a perfect blend of distinctive yet subtle aroma, which isn't too heavy or wishy washy. I used to find it was particularly suited to the winter months, maybe because it's not particularly fruity or summery smelling. It's quite a musky smelling perfume but you could wear it at any time of year though.
I used to receive the shower gel and body lotion to match this perfume when I used to wear it regularly, and that's a gorgeous way of building up layers of fragrance without overwhelming people. My other half absolutely adores this fragrance, in fact I'm not sure why I stopped buying it!
This is a lovely fragrance to add to any collection, and I think it provides excellent value for money. I have been disappointed by some subsequent perfumes in the Ghost range, but would happily return to wearing this at any time.
I'm no perfume expert, and was even more clueless about the world of fragrance when a friend gave me some miniature bottles last Christmas. I had, however, heard of Ghost and been intrigued by the name and advertising for the brand I'd seen in the past, so I was really pleased to find this bottle of Deep Night in amongst the other perfumes. For one thing, the bottle looked lovely- a little purple moon, with a black cap forming its tip. The Ghost logo, in its simple, bold font, is at the base of the bottle and its silver colour contrasts nicely with the deep purple of the glass. I love the simple, smooth shape of the bottle, and while it wasn't the classiest in the set, its distinctive design made it stand out from the other bottles. At 10ml, it was also one of the largest bottles, so I really hoped that I would like the scent as much as I liked the design.
This is definitely a scent which wears its heart on its sleeve- with a name like Deep Night and a moon-shaped bottle, you can be left in no doubt that this a perfume that's specifically designed to be worn at night. I was intrigued to see how this sense of the nocturnal would be manifested in the scent, if at all.
The notes of this perfume are as follows:
Heart notes: Apricot, Peach, White Wood
Top notes: Cereus, Rose
Base notes: Amber, Vanilla
I'm ashamed to say that my untrained nose can't pick out any of these individual notes, but even I can detect an element of fruitiness to it, along with a sweet softness that I assume comes from the vanilla. It's a heady yet subtle combination that's sensual and romantic- perfect for a warm summer's evening. There's definitely something intriguing about it which fits well with its night time theme.
Its subtlety makes it hard to determine the staying power of the scent; from the moment I put it on, it smells like it has already had time to settle in. It maintains this level of scent for a few hours before fading to a hint, so I'd say it's about average. Deep Night won't last the night, but it will get it off to a good start!
I love this perfume, although I haven't worn it very often- I don't think it's an everyday perfume, despite the fact that this a word that some of the perfumes shops selling it use this word to describe it. This is perhaps its only drawback for me- the fact that it only seems suited to specific occasions and might smell out of place if worn in the day. Then again, I'm not sure that this is a drawback; there are plenty of other perfumes that are more versatile, so it's quite nice to have something distinctive like this to save for special occasions.
The other good thing about this perfume is that it's reasonably priced at around £30 per 50ml bottle of EDT. I'd definitely consider buying this again, but as I won't be wearing it that often, I don't think I'll need to any time soon.
When I got married, instead of doing sugared almonds as table favours, my husband and I opted for perfume miniatures in organza bags as a little keepsake for the day. One of the miniatures we purchased was Ghost Deep Night, and initially I loved it because of the distinctive bottle.
The bottle is a half moon, flat at the base for standing, and is in a very deep purple glass, with a fully detachable snap on lid. The perfume is in an open topped bottle and this eau de toilette is in a spray dispenser, the spray dispenses a nice even mist ideal for a light covering of your upper half. It also means that the bottle should last you some months, even on a daily use.
You can get some good deals on this scent in the shops and online as it's been around for some time now, it was launched in 2001 so it's a bit of a classic now. You can expect to pay around £25 for a 50ml bottle, but if you do want to try before you buy big, or you like to have an array of scents on the go, I would suggest picking up a miniature, Ghost Deep Night is often in the Boots sets at Christmas, of five designer perfumes, you can get a box for £18 and they are like all Boots gifts on 3 for 2, so they work out quite reasonable.
The smell is lovely. I am a fan of lighter scents and this is a mix of light, sweet tones with a deeper musky hint underneath - but overall, I'd describe the scent as sweet-smelling. You really have to smell it to appreciate it as it's not particularly floral or citrusy, it's it's own unique mix of notes, the most complex scent I own, in that respect.
Every time I have worn Ghost Deep Night I have been asked 'what is that lovely scent you are wearing?' and I've encouraged quite a few sales (maybe I should work on commission!?). Of all the new scents I've purchased recently this is one of my favourites and I'll be sure to buy this as a gift for my friends and for myself once my bottle runs out. It's a great all rounder and due to it's mix of scents a lot of people really like it, and it's suitable for all age ranges, too.
I like it so much that I'd go so far as to say, if you are only going to buy or be bought one scent this year, make it Ghost Deep Night as it's a lovely, signature scent which you will love.
What first attracted me to this delicious perfume is obviously and undoubtedly the bottle! Being a bit of a goth myself it was like a pretty cliche! I have previously made the mistake of buying a perfume based on how pretty it's shell was in the past though (sun, moon and stars by lagerfield and most regrettably...fantasy by britney spears bleurgh!!!!) so I wasn't taking any chances. I sprayed a little onto my wrist and immediately caught the blend of apricot and peach which I wasn't too sure about. The moment it started to settle on my skin as I carried on shopping I kept stopping as I caught the smell. It was surprising and mysterious! the kind of perfume that no matter what kind of clothes you are wearing, little black dress, work clothes or PJ's, you would make people stop and notice. it is the perfect in between for perfume lovers for example, I am not a fan of the more alcohol smelling perfumes such as Chanel no.5 or D&G and I am definitely not a fan of the sickly sweet 'candytastic' perfumes such as Britney Spears Fantasy (anymore) or DKNY Delicious. This fragrance is perfect as it hits you and you are drawn in. You are not sure of the scents in there, what mixture of ingredients, oils? spices? yet it smells so real and not chemical like a lot of perfumes. To me, this is a perfume for all occasions and all ages. It's staying power is remarkable to! A permanent fixture on my dressing table.
I have been wearing Ghost Deep Night by Tanya Sarne for about 4 years now which I think speaks volumes for a fragrance. This is made by Ghost, who have a large number of scents available and who I think are a really classic and unique perfume makers, I have three of theirs in my collection.
Deep Night comes in a crescent moon shaped bottle that is purple in the lower part of the decanter changing into black at the top. There is no detail or patterns visible and only 'Ghost' written on the bottom part of the bottle which gives it a mysterious and sophisticated look, it reminds me of the twilight books and films for some reason. The perfume comes in three standard sizes 30ml; 50ml and 75ml and retails for between £20 and £50 (according to current Boots figures) so a decent priced fragrance.
On to the scent, what I particularly look for in a perfume is the staying power, after all the money you pay out I expect myself and other people to be able to smell my perfume throughout the day or evening. This fragrance has staying power in bucket loads it is quite an intense scent to start with. There is some slight fading over time but on the whole I would say you get a good 4-5 hours use out of this smell. The fragrance has bursts of rose, apricot/orange and vanilla and is quite musky. The floral scent is not too strong; I am not a big fan of very flowery perfumes and this scent is subtle with these notes.
This fragrance could be worn day or night as even though it is strong it is not too intense or overpowering. I however prefer wearing it in the evening; it definitely has a sexy and passionate feeling and smell to it. I would recommend this fragrance for someone who wants a passionate, feminine scent without going overboard on the flowers!
It's such a shame that i really didn't like this scent. As you may have gathered if you've read my other fragrance reviews, i am a big fan of Ghost's perfumes and absoloutely love most of them. But sadly, this one was a let down and really does make me feel sick. I didn't find it an appealing or attractive smell at all. It is supposed to be a feminine and fresh scent but i found this to be the opposite and was very dark and quite nauseating!
It has a strong pungent smell that i just couldn't get used to, i think this one is definetely a "Marmite" perfume, either you love it or you hate it. For me it was the latter. If you are looking to buy a fragrance from the Ghost range this would be the last one i'd reccomend, the others are so much nicer. This particular one cost about £30 for a 50ml bottle.
The only positive i could mention is that i do like the bottle, it's a purple moon shape which of course fits in with the idea that it's a 'Night' perfume.
I must have been a very good girl this year as Santa decided he would bring me perfume for Christmas, not one large bottle but 5! I did get a lovely collection and have to say he must have spent a fortune. I have never really had a favourite perfume so the choice I have is great as it means I can change depending on what mood I am in. The one which I am reviewing now is the Ghost Deep Night perfume.
The bottle is lovely to look at it is a deep purple colour and is shaped like a crescent moon. The tip of the bottle is easy to remove and there is a spray top under this. The perfume name is on the bottom of the bottle in white lettering.
It is very simple to use the perfume and to do this you just have to spray it where required. I usually spray once on my neck and then on each of my wrists and I find this is enough. The staying power is good and I find that after a good few hours of initially spraying this I am still able to smell it and it has not faded.
The smell is wonderful and my initial thought when smelling this is of a light musky scent with a hint of floral. I have looked on the internet for help with the notes for this perfume and they are as follows:-
Heart Notes - Apricot, Peach, White Wood
Top Notes - Cereus, Rose
Base Notes - Amber, Vanilla
Scent - Floral
The mix of these notes makes for a lovely smell which can be wore for a variety of occasions. There is a lovely feel of mystery to the smell and I do like how it feels quite sensual to ware. This may feel like an evening perfume as it has a good lasting fragrance but I am more than happy and comfortable wearing this during the daytime as it is not too over powering at all. There is definitely a feminine feel to this perfume where as some do have a mixture and hint of masculinity to them but this one certainly does not.
I find it is easy to ware and it is absorbed easily into the skin. I have not had any reactions for using this perfume and have in only a few days had a good few compliments on how good it smells.
The price of the perfume is not known to me but I have looked on line and found that for the 50ml bottle size which I have it is around the £30 mark. I do feel that this is a good price as this perfume can be worn for so many different occasions and it I not just for the evenings or going out. I am happy to recommend this perfume and give it the full 5 stars as I love it. I do feel that you cannot go wrong with this even for the price tag as it will suit all.
You can ask for a sample of this in the perfume shops and if you are undecided I would say this would be the way to go. Recommended by me.
I seem to be on a bit of a roll with my perfume reviews over the last couple of days so I thought Id try and get another one done before I get the dreaded reviewers block again - and before Christmas day of course. Anyway as I mentioned in my previous review a few years back I got a gift set that had around 3 or 4 sample sized bottles of different Ghost perfumes but as I own so many different fragrances I only got round to trying the Ghost set out earlier this year and I have been so surprised because it is one of the few sample sets Ive tried that I would happily go out and buy full sized bottles of every single item in there so well done Ghost Im very impressed!
Price: 50ml bottle - Around £30
Stockists: Amazon, Boots & Superdrug
Other Info: Also available in 30 + 100ml bottles. This is a variation on another Ghost fragrance so be careful to look carefully at the individual names before buying - dont want to end up with the wrong one!!
This bottle for me captures everything about the Ghost brand as it is such an iconic style bottle in shape and design. The bottle is in the shape of a half moon and is a deep purple in colour - very fitting with the name and overall image of this perfume. Although the bottle moon shaped the bottom is totally flat which means this can be displayed without fear of it falling over loads & the top is secure enough to stay on if its loose in your handbag - Ive never had a problem with this one leaking. A truly stunning bottle that I think will appeal to women of all ages.
Top Notes: Indian Rose & Nightlady
Middle Notes: Orange, White Tree & Apricot
Base Notes: Vanilla, Amber & Musk
Nothing surprising there as those are pretty standard ingredients - for a Ghost perfume anyway as some of those notes tend to appear in quite a few of their scents. Somehow though each one manages to stay truly unique and this one is no different. This one is said to be made for the women that is 'confident, sexy and strong' and I have to stay I totally agree - yet again!
When something is described as a floral-fruity fragrance I usually dont listen because normally one set of scents is stronger than the other but in this case they are both equally as strong which is what makes this scent so unique. The top notes of Rose & the White Tree are the strongest but the Apricot + Orange really come into their own on this scent and dont just linger in the background they all mix together to at first create a very fruity-floral and sweet scent. Im happy to say though the base notes of Vanilla, Musk & Amber do come into play after a few minutes and turn this perfume into something much more sensual and evocative. Those base notes just warm the fragrance right up and do make it a much more sexy scent one I do feel really confident wearing. Its very feminine without being girly and sweet - instead this one is much more dark and sensual - something a little different from the norm I find.
Is simply brilliant. This tends to last around 8 hours on my skin which is way better than average Ive found. This perfume is so strong you dont need to apply loads and a quick spray lasts that long so a bottle will last a really long time.
I dont think this perfume would be suitable for Id say under 20s I think the scent is maybe to sophisticated for the younger teens and I reckon this smell is way too grown up for the teen market anyway. 20s+ though I think would adore this perfume!
Day Or Night? Summer Or Winter?
100% a night fragrance - this would be far too heavy for anyone to pull off in the day I think its perfect for a night out when you just need that extra little confidence boost. Id also recommend this for a winter fragrance - in summer I prefer something lighter and fresher but I guess this could be used all year round.
Highly recommended from me. I adore it. Thanks For Reading.

I got this perfume as part of a mini set in a 5ml size and it really is one of my favorites. It's not a very common perfume like maybe a Gucci or Chanel fragrance would be and so it might not be one you've seen a lot of but you can pick up a 50ml size of this stuff for around £25 on Amazon which I think is a bargain price.
I remember the first ghost perfume which came out and it was in a tall thin frosted white bottle. I got a bottle of it as a Xmas present and to be honest I hated it! It was horrible and way to flowery for me so when I was given Deep Night I was a tad disappointed until I smelled it! The perfume comes in a rather luxurious looking dark velvety purple crescent moon shaped bottle. As the colour is so rich it makes you think of decadence and indulgence and it looks really nice on display too.
This perfume is what I would call a sweet floral fragrance. It's not overly flowery though and it has a rich, heady vanilla through it which is gorgeous. I like my perfumes, especially for going out, to be relatively strong so I can smell it on me - I don't want to spray it then 5 mins later it's gone. What's the point? On the other hand I don't want to leave a trail of people with watery eyes caused by my scent and I find this strikes the balance well. I also love sweet smelling perfumes and so I appreciate the musky vanilla smell to this.
The "notes" in the perfume are:
Top notes: Indian rose and Belle de Nuit (nightlady)
Heart notes: Orange, white tree and apricot
Base notes: Vanilla, amber and musk
I think this is a really feminine fragrance and I wear it during the day as it's not too heavy for that. Overall I'd recommend it as an evening scent though as it is quite sensual and warm.
I bought this perfume last month from Boots with some gift vouchers I had. There was nothing I really needed so decided to treat my self to a new perfume. I wanted one under £20 so I didn't have to put any money to it myself, so I only really looked at this ghost perfume as I was looking at the cheapest priced ones.
I have never seen this perfume before, I don't know if it is new or if I just haven't noticed it before as the box is quite a deep purple colour, which doesn't really stand out next to all the other perfumes. However I do think the bottle stands outs from others as it is quite quirky compared to other perfumes. It is actually in the shape of a moon, which I think is quite different to other boring standard bottles.
When I tried this perfume in the shop it smelt beautiful, really fruity and floral. It smells very fresh and I think is more for a young girl. I paid £19.99 for a 50ml bottle, which is so cheap for this perfume as it smells gorgeous and is now actually one of my favourites. It does last a while during the day but by tea time you have to top it up, but it lasts longer than more expensive perfumes I have got.
This perfume has a strong vanilla smell, which I love. It isn't too strong or overpowering, it is light and girly, and perfect for daytime or evening.
I highly recommend this perfume, for a younger girl, or if your looking for a cheaper perfume to wear for work etc, this is perfect. It is fresh, not over powering, it is so light and will last you a whole day at work.
I have been having a good look through my perfume collection (prompted partly I will admit by Dooyoo putting up their miles for fragrance at the moment) and found a cute little 5ml bottle Deep Night by Ghost. This was part of a mini fragrance collection I picked up in the Boots sale after Christmas.
The 5ml bottle is a cute minature of the standard size bottle and is a fab crescent shaped bottle, supposedly I guess to represent a moon shape. It is a lovely smooth tactile surface and is a midnight purple shade to tie in with the night time theme.
The smell once opened wafts out is a warm floral smell - not overly sweet. When applied to your skin, the warm tones become stronger and the amber base notes really come into their own and the fragrance blends to become a lovely elegant and sensual fragrance.
The full notes of the fragrance are:
Top notes: Rose, cereus
Middle notes: Apricot, peach, white wood
Base notes : Amber, Vanilla
One thing I do find a bit confusing about this fragrance is that Ghost say this perfume is perfect for everyday, but then they call is Deep Night suggesting it is an evening fragrance - think some one has got their branding slightly awry there. I personally find this a bit much for daytime wear, but perfect for evenings, when it is just that little bit different from my usual daytime florals and subtle enough to be interesting without overpowering.
I do really like this fragrance and will be tempted to purchase a full size when my little one runs out. I notice that Boots are offering a gift set of the 30ml perfume plus body lotion for £23 which seems a pretty good deal this Christmas, but I will wait for the sale and see if I can pick up a bargain.
