Taylor Swift's Wonderstruck is a fragrance I have in the form of a small sample vial. I actually got this by sending away for it online (offer sadly expired I believe) but although I enjoy sampling different perfumes, I didn't expect much from this, just because of the celebrity link. I know that's very judgemental of me, but generally speaking celebrity perfumes don't appeal to me - although I have found some nice ones in the form of Katy Perry's Purr and the original Kate Moss scent. Another reservation was that Taylor Swift's target audience I would assume is teenagers and I'm in my late twenties, so I hoped this wouldn't be too young for me.

I'll touch quickly on the bottle, as I think rightly or wrongly the bottle is quite an important factor in choosing a perfume (I'm shallow!). The bottle is purple in colour with a gold coloured embossed lid and a sort of charm bracelet effect draped around the neck. It's not really my sort of thing - I like something a bit more elegant and I would never have chosen this had I seen the bottle before smelling the perfume.

The top notes of the scent are freesia, tea, raspberry, blackberry and apple blossom. I was surprised to read that it's raspberry, not strawberry which is what I thought I could smell. I was also surprised to read tea, but having just re-applied the fragrance as a reminder to myself for the purposes of this review, I can definitely smell the tea in there which gives a slightly deeper, muskier edge and takes away any sharpness from the fruit.

Middle notes are vanilla, hibiscus and honeysuckle. I think the vanilla is the strongest with perhaps a hint of the honeysuckle coming through. The florals aren't strong here, the fruity scents are the dominant ones with the floral/sweet heart notes just adding a sort of background depth.

The base notes are peach, amber, sandalwood and musk. I can detect peach and I think sandalwood, but these are quite subtle and I think the scent retains its fruitiness until the end.

The staying power of this fragrance is very good. I applied it this morning at 5am before going to work and I'm typing this at 6pm and I could still smell it on my skin before I topped it up, just 10 minutes or so ago. I only have a small vial of this, but it has lasted me ages so far as only a dab of the scent on my wrist is needed per use, and I find that's strong enough for me.

I'd say that this scent is suitable for all ages from teens to older women looking for something light and fruity. I usually tend to save fruity fragrances for the summer, but this is so nice I'd happily wear it all year round! That said, I do think it's a day time fragrance, I personally wouldn't wear it on a night out. Also, it very much reminds me of the Soap and Glory products, so if you like some of their original products like the Righteous Butter, Clean on Me or Calm One Calm All, then I would recommend this perfume to you.

Overall, I really don't think I could recommend this highly enough. It has to be said I'm not the biggest fan of the bottle and I was a little bit embarrassed to admit this was Taylor Swift when one of my colleagues asked what my perfume was this morning! That aside, it's a beautiful fragrance - light, fruity, innocent, uplifting and sweet and I have a very strong feeling that the full sized version will be making its way onto my dressing table soon!
