I bought the Wonderstruck Enchanted perfume by Taylor Swift on impulse from Superdrug after I saw it reduced from £28 to £15. It was first launched in 2012 as the latest addition to the Wonderstruck perfume range created by the country / pop singer Taylor Swift whose "forever captivating and always confident" personality is used as the muse for Enchanted in collaboration with Elizabeth Arden. Wonderstruck Enchanted is described as an "oriental gourmand with an irresistible blend of luscious wild berries and sugar-glazed petals, wrapped in a touch of sensuality for a captivating signature". --- Price & Availability --- The bottle comes in three different sizes. The 50 ml size which is the one that I have costs £28.50. You can also get a larger 100 ml bottle for £37.50 or a tiny 30 ml bottle for £19.50. In addition there is also a 10 ml roller ball available for £9.50, although I doubt this would hold very much at all. It can be picked up from The Perfume Shop, Boots, Superdrug or Amazon. All in all I think the price is pretty reasonable given the quality of this perfume and especially as it comes with a complimentary free Taylor Swift clutch bag. --- Looks --- The bottle for Enchanted is beautiful with a rounded, deep red glass bottle topped by a decorative gold lid engraved with a swirly, oriental-looking pattern. However, the best bit is the gold charms which hang around the lid including a flower, a bird, a leaf and a silver crystal which shines in the light. The logo can be seen on the front in delicate gold writing, adding to the slightly old-fashioned and vintage style. The lid pulls of easily to reveal the button which dispenses a generous amount of perfume. The bottle comes packaged in a rectangular red box covered in golden leaves and swirly writing adding to the oriental charm. It is a very elegant and classy design and looks absolutely brilliant sitting on my dressing table. --- The Fragrance --- The fragrance of Wonderstruck Enchanted is just as gorgeous as the bottle. It is mainly a floral smell, reminding me very much of a bouquet of flowers, but there is also a slight fruitiness underneath as well. This is due to the wild berries, passion fruit and pink poppy on top of the peony swirls, sugar-glazed champaca petals and white freesia all of which sits on a base of white musk, warm vanilla and blond woods. To be honest I have no idea what "sugar-glazed champaca petals" or "blond woods" actually smell like but I can confirm you can definitely smell flowers as well as berries and a bit of vanilla. It all combines to make a lovely, girly and light fragrance which I would happily wear all summer. It makes me feel pretty and confident and lasts for a good 6-7 hours. I usually apply a couple of squirts to each wrist and some on my neck or chest and this is enough to get a noticeable fragrance without it being to strong. --- Summary --- This is currently my favourite perfume out of the ones that I own. I absolutely adore both the lovely, summery scent and the beautiful appearance of the bottle. It definitely lifts my mood every time I put it on and I would definitely recommend this to anyone thinking about getting it.
I received a sample of Taylor Swift's Wonderstruck perfume last year and loved it. I guess my name must have got onto a mailing list as a few months back I received a sample of her new perfume Wonderstruck Enchanted through the door. The bottle for Wonderstruck Enchanted is similar to that of the original Wonderstruck, the main difference being the colour is a lovely deep red instead of purple. It still has the gold charms adorning the neck of the bottle and has a kind of Eastern look to it. I think the bottle is OK, but I don't think it would be one I'd instantly be drawn to. Wonderstruck Enchanted is described as being 'an oriental gourmand' with 'an irresistible blend of luscious wild berries and sugar-glazed petals'. I don't normally go for oriental scents, I normally prefer something light and fruity (such as the original Wonderstruck) but the mention of wild berries was appealing to me. The top notes of the perfume are peony, sugar-glazed champaca petals (no idea what these are!) and white freesia. When I spray the perfume the white freesia is what I notice first with a tinge of alcohol to it. I normally find white florals to be a bit too strong but this initial scent wears off quickly and I soon find myself beginning to notice the middle notes of the scent. The middle notes of this perfume are wild berries, passion fruit and pink poppy. This combination of ingredients is absolutely stunning. The berries alongside what I assume to be the pink poppy go together very well and smell light, summery and uplifting. Although none of the same ingredients are included, I do feel that this has similarities to the original Wonderstruck. Base notes of the scent are white musk, vanilla and blonde woods. White musk and vanilla both take me back to the 90's and although they were fashionable then, I'm not too keen on them now! I really don't notice either of these things (nor the 'blonde woods' for that matter) even when the scent has been on my skin for a few hours. Overall I think the scent of this is beautiful and I think I prefer it to the original Wonderstruck scent. It's a slightly deeper fragrance than the original and I have so far worn it during the day and during the evening. It's perfect for hot, summer evenings now I think about it, it would probably be a lovely scent to take on holiday with you. The staying power of the fragrance is also really good. I'd say I get around six hours from it before it seems to fade. Although perhaps the Taylor Swift branding may suggest it is for Taylor Swift fans (who I'm assuming will mostly be teens), fragrance wise I'd say this would suit women of all ages. The following prices are from The Perfume Shop website, obviously they will be different depending on where you shop. 10ml rollerball - £9.50 30ml EDP - £19.50 50ml EDP - £28.50 100ml EDP - £37.50 So far this perfume has been one of my favourites of the summer, despite having just a small vial of it, I really want the full sized bottle as it's just gorgeous. I don't think it's as oriental in tone as the bottle/marketing would suggest, but if you like fruity, summery fragrances then I would fully recommend this perfume. It gets a full five stars from me.
Most of us like getting freebies and I am always pleased to get something to try for free so I was pleased to receive a sample of Taylor Swift Enchanted Wonderstruck perfume. I had never tried this one but having seen the ornate bottle in the shops I wondered if the fragrance would live up to its elaborate packaging. The sample I received was just a little plastic spray tube attached to a card but there was enough there to let me give it a good enough try. The full sized bottle of this perfume is a red/pink frosted bottle with gold writing and an ornate gold lid, around the neck of the bottle there a few little charms hanging from a small gold chain. The description of Enchanted Wonderstruck is:- Forever captivating and always confident The notes for Enchanted Wonderstruck are given as;- Top Notes -- Wild Berries, Passion Fruit and Pink Poppy Heart Notes -- Peony, Sugar Glazed Champaca Petals and White Freesia Base Notes - White Musk, Vanilla and Blond Woods. When I tried Enchanted Wonderstruck the fruitiness of the top notes was very apparent, it wasn't a fresh fruity smell but more sweet with a slight flowery hint, this first fragrance didn't really last long at all and I could soon detect the a lovely sweet floral smell which I really liked. It wasn't really as strong as I would have liked as I do like stronger perfumes but it was really nice. Once the base notes developed I was left with a musky floral smell that had a slight sweetness and warmth to it. Overall I really liked Enchanted Wonderstruck, It had a heady warmth to its flowery fragrance which in my personal opinion made it more of an evening perfume rather than daytime. My only problem with this is it just doesn't last long enough, I wore this for the first time on an evening out and it just didn't last, I had to reapply the perfume which I wouldn't really expect to do just for an evening. Apart from this Enchanted Wonderstruck is a very nice perfume. As I mentioned I got my perfume as a freebie but Wonder struck is available in most places where perfume is sold such as Superdrug where 30ml's costs £19.99 and £27.99 for 50ml's and many online stores too such as Fragrance Direst where a 30ml bottle costs £17.99 and £24.95 for 50ml's so a bit cheaper online but there is always p&p to consider. I was disappointed with how this fragrance lasted however I really did like the smell of it.
Taylor Swift 'Enchanted Wonderstruck' eau de Parfum Once again this little booklet cover with 1.5ml spray made its way via one of my many freebie sites that I scour on a daily basis. The outer cardboard ''book cover is a very stylish Turkish sort of design and colour scheme. It is a deep maroon with gold leaves and a colour scheme I would be happy to have as a feature wall in my bedroom. THE BOTTLE My little spray bottle is just a small phial with a spray lid but the real bottle is the same deep red or burgundy round bottle with the perfume name on the front and a 'necklace' around the lid with some little charms, a bird a flower and a leaf with one sporting a large diamante crystal. It all looks a bit young and like a child's charm bracelet to me. It is not that unusual but not offensive either and does remind me of other pop star endorsed bottles like Britney Spears with its bling like charms and bracelet which to me tells me that they are aiming at a younger audience than me with the bottle although the box design is beautiful. WHO IS TAYLOR SWIFT? I had to find out for myself. She is a pretty young blonde singer song writer who achieved 'fame' in 2006, she appears to be more country style as she has been honored in the Nashville Hall of fame and has sold an astounding 26 million albums!! Her first perfume 'Wonderstruck' was created as something she had always wanted to do since a young teen. This is a variation on the theme as it is a red version in colour of that blue bottle and box design. I quite liked 'Wonderstruck' it was light and fruity and certainly one I would be happy to wear for a day at a time on holiday somewhere hot maybe. Needless to say Taylor swift was not actually the creator the perfume was launched in cooperation with the Elizabeth Arden once again but this one was the work Olivier Gillotin of Givaudan. This one was created as an oriental - gourmand fragrance. ABOUT THE PERFUME "Wonderstruck Enchanted is the next chapter in the story of my Wonderstruck fragrance. Wonderstruck is about that moment when you instantly feel a connection to someone, but then there's that feeling of being completely enamored -- enchanted -- when you know a little more about that someone and still feel that strong connection," according to Taylor Swift. THE NOTES Top Notes: Passionfruit, poppy and wild berries Middle notes: Peony, Chambaca, sugar and freesia Base Notes: white musk, woody notes and vanilla On initial spray the first thing that hits me is sweet and fruity, I am not sure what poppy smells like but the fruity is prominent and quite strong at first. After about ten minutes it has faded quite dramatically on me and there is a warmer sweet floral note. It fades rapidly and ends as a sweet vanillary scent with not a lot of depth in m my view. On my skin the fruit and vanilla very quickly seem to blend together. I find that it really doesn't last that well on me and found that her previous 'Wonderstruck' lasted better on me. I do quite like this as I am a fan of vanilla but if you are not ,then avoid this as it is very sweet and creamy. To describe it as oriental I think is being rather hopeful as it is too light and sweet to be really oriental as I usually think of orientals as heavy and deep with some lasting power. In fact, after half an hour or so,I find it quite hard to smell this on my skin altogether because it's so soft and blended well into just a general sweetness. I would describe this as almost like a vanillary spray I bought in Boots but with a little more fruitiness. It is generally a sweet, warm and smooth scent , but nothing very original and certainly not one to get excited about. It is not offensive unless you hate vanillary sweet scents but as it fades so fast that all I smell I a gentle sweetness as though I have had some talc on me. PRICES This is a newer perfume than her previous offering and is more expensive on Amazon. Personally I prefer the first as it is a bit more unusual and has a better lasting power. On Amazon 50ml costs £24.25 while her original 'Wonderstruck' costs £14.50 for 30ml on Amazon. If you are interested I suggest you try it first in a shop and then search on line for the best buy. SUMMARY It will be happy enough to wear this for the few days until my sample runs out. It is pleasant enough and do quite like the fragrance but not enough to make me want to buy a larger bottle. This is a very young and light feminine scent with a very short lasting power. This is an okay, forgettable scent. It doesn't give me any more than a cheap body spray and certainly lasts about the same time. Thanks for reading. This review may be posted on other sites under my same username. ©Catsholiday
Review of Taylor Swift Wonderstruck Enchanted Eau de Parfum Last year I won a bottle of Taylor Swift's first fragrance, Wonderstruck in a charity raffle. I reviewed the fragrance and as a result of my review being published on various review and fragrance sites, I was fortunate enough to be contacted by 'The Perfume Shop earlier this year. They advised me that a new Taylor Swift fragrance, 'Wonderstruck Enchanted' was to be released and kindly sent me a complementary pre-launch bottle! I was specifically asked not to review the scent until after The Perfume Shop launch, so as the fragrance has now hit the general UK market, I feel it is time to review it! **The Fragrance** I have been using this fragrance for around two months now. My fragrance is presented in a very plain bottle, being a pre-launch sample it is not in the bottle that will be sold in the shops. My 'freebie' was a generous one; the bottle contained 30ml of eau de parfum fragrance. I see from the literature sent with the fragrance that 'Wonderstruck Enchanted' will be sold in an ornate red bottle with a highly decorative gold lid. Naturally this description is based on a photograph, not the real thing, so I will not comment further on the bottle! The fragrance is a blend of wild berries and floral notes with a deep sensual base of musk and vanilla. The top notes of this fragrance are predominantly fruity; I am not usually very keen on fruit based fragrances so was a little dubious as to whether I would like this. I need not have worried because as the top notes deepened into the heart notes a more floral scent emerged, mainly freesia and peony. The base notes of this fragrance are vanilla, musk and blond woods, these come through fairly quickly and they linger remarkably well on my skin. For the purposes of this review I deliberately sprayed the fragrance on my inner forearm this morning at around 10 am, the time is now 8:30pm and I can still detect the fragrance. I consider this to be a remarkable length of time for a fragrance to last. Obviously, skin type plays a large part in longevity of scents. **Availability** Wonderstruck Enchanted has been available in one or two prestigious stores in Eire and the UK since November 2012, but the general launch to the UK market is spring 2013. The fragrance was launched on 14th April 2013 in 'The Perfume Shop', where the fragrance is sold in 3 sizes, 30ml costs £19.50, 50ml is £28.50 and 100ml is £37.50. The fragrance will be launched in stores such as Debenhams, Boots, Superdrug and The Fragrance Shop on 1st May 2013. This fragrance is produced by the Elizabeth Arden Company. **My Thoughts and Conclusion** Although I do not usually rate celebrity fragrances particularly highly, this perfume is absolutely gorgeous. It is a very sensual, grown up fragrance in my opinion; and one that is ideally suited to evening wear as the musky element does make it a little heady for a day time scent for my tastes. The fragrance has a good depth and in my view this is due to the musk and vanilla combination, both scents that I like as I find them uplifting and feel that they suit me. The fragrance is long lasting and exceptionally good value for money as a little really does go a long way. I have been very pleased with Wonderstruck Enchanted and I am very grateful for having been given the opportunity to trial this prior to the launch. I have been asked what the perfume is when I have been wearing it which I think is flattering and indicative of the quality of the fragrance. I do hope that complementary products will become available as I like to layer my fragrance and I feel this enhances the scent and helps the fragrance to last. I still have not heard Taylor Swift's music and as I do not really follow celebrity news, I know very little about her, what I do know is that her fragrances are excellent! To conclude, I adore this fragrance and would certainly recommend it to others. Thank you for reading. ©brittle1906 April 2013 N.B. My reviews may be found on other sites under the same user name. Update September 2013. this fragrance is still going strong months after originally using it. I am very pleased with it and am hoping my rather heavy hints are taken up around Christmas!
